I have not tried the Shure stem way too many components. Try the near bar or owl. They both have the all in one solution and more cost effective.

I try and come in once a week. This is where I can test room video conferencing solutions best.

The speaker looks quite distorted when autoframing. Even considering the quite reasonable price, I find this quite unattractive.

Hi Sing Bird! Thank you for sharing your feedback. I was under impressed as well. Stay tuned for upcoming comparison video featuring this Sony Videobar VB1 vs Poly Studio, Poly Studio R30, Jabra PanaCast 50, JPL Agora, Logitech MeetUp and Logitech Rally Bar Mini!

Sadly, all these wide-angle solutions suck for this and they all have extreme distortion on the sides. They also look very poor quality when zoomed in on the center because they're throwing away 90% of the image sensor.
I told Polycom's product team about this back in 2019 and only now in 2022 did they produce a product with less distortion to the side.

The Bose VB1 is complete utter trash. Its equivalent to a web cam and a regular sound bar. You cannot wireless screen share, primarily only works with teams or meeting platforms, you cannot use your laptop device to project audio while connected to the usbc cable you have to bluetooth the audio, but the the audio drops out. The mic pick-up is extremely muffled/distorted. You must download a software to each pc to share display via usbc. I am not sure why this device was made with that price point. It does nothing

Thank you for sharing your experience. Fortunately, there are so many other video bar solutions that provide various features and functions depending on your use case. I’m currently testing the new ClickShare Video Bar Pro. I’ve shared some demos on LinkedIn

@@fsevilla1 Hello! I tried Stem before they were purchased by Shure. Are you in the United States? If so, I strongly recommend booking a discovery call with our AV team. We have a set of proprietary design tools that helps select the simplest solution, based on your use case and budget. Plus you can book an in person or virtual demo in our Customer Experience Center and see the technology in action from Logitech, Neat, HP Poly, Jabra, Yealink, Owl Labs and more!
