一条长土堆，没有任何技术含量，驱赶老百姓出蛮力而已，谁都可以干，骄傲在那里？再说了，几千公里的长度，根本不可能防守，随时随地，敌方都可以找一个点突破，根本没有任何军事意义。自己骗自己而已。
秋平老弟，辛苦了！長城由已久，春秋戰國時代就有了，當時不祇是防戎、狄、匈奴等異族入侵，其實各國之間也有長城，如齊魯在泰山建有長城，而楚國在城固一帶，秦國在崤函之間均建有長城。齊魯在泰山的長城，至今仍存在。
經過了很多年，雖然有些崩塌損壞，當年應該很壯觀雄偉！

長城主要目的是隔絕內外，方便管控人民不能隨意跨過邊境去與胡人貿易，去資敵，主要目的是經濟因素。方便中原王朝對遊牧民族實施「經濟制裁」，如同美國對俄國實施的經濟制裁。如同美國想築美墨長城，不讓墨西哥人民可以自由進出，販毒、非法貿易。軍事只是附隨的，且長城這麼長，高度對於軍隊也不構成翻越的困難，要在任一點上突破都是輕而易舉，就可知道，長城主要目的是實施經濟制裁用的。

Although we saw an irrigation channel at the beginning, that wouldn't have been there when the wall was built, but despite the abundance of yellow soil, & some drought resistant plants, they would have also needed a lot of water to make durable rammed earth, as well as for the workers & later troops. I wonder where they got it from, & how?
When you told us how cold it got in the Gobi, I was shocked. The troops & their families must have needed supplies of fuel as well as food & clothing. Do we know what was used ? Charcoal would have much been lighter to transport, but I've only heard of it being used for the wealthy.
Your videos always provoke much thought & leave me in awe of the ancient peoples of China.

Yes, I can imagine that living conditions must have been very poor. I begin to appreciate the severity of the punishment to be sentenced to exile on the border, & more so the deep love of their nation which the commanders who volunteered to serve in those regions had.

其实有种说法是长城有很大的副作用。长城的存在隔绝了边境贸易，事实上减少了游牧民族对内地的依赖性。正确的做法是派出大规模的商队加军队进入草原，一边提供当地无法生产的生活消费品，大米、丝绸、瓷器和茶叶，一边收买当地游牧产品和矿产；同时用军队联合听话的部族，抢劫不听话的部族，并确保草原民族的碎片化。

那不是長城遺址，是廢棄的豆腐渣工程。中共很多資訊都是對內封閉且舛誤，經不起檢驗。現存的長城是明成祖朱隸修建的，用的是青磚，目的是對西北諸國宣揚國力。新中國成立後，很多地方的長城青磚早已被人挖走當作建材。
哪有那麼多錢全線都糊上青磚?歐美學者都依據文獻證實長城多以當地現有材料來建築..
