Love the blue pots! I vote for the columns to be black!

Junipers 👍🏽.. love all the plants potted today and you can never go wrong with painting the pots black which doesn’t distract from the plant. Should be beautiful this summer. ❤

Your winter is so long so it's good to have many evergreens. I'm stocking up on them as well in my garden.

A dark charcoal color might look nice on the pillars, it would match well with the pots.

Love shrubs in the pots. I have started using more perennials in my pots. Saves money and labor, and gets things looking good earlier. Ohio zone 6a

Love Evergreens had a Blue Spruce that got too large that was my absolute favorite! It had to be cut down because I got too old and it got too high for my servicing. My purple Hibiscus is my second favorite! Small trees only for me now! I love all of your ideas!

I think black is a classic color and it kind of disappears and lets the pots and plants shine. I'm a big believer in putting shrubs in pots as well!

you could paint the pots black as a base coat, and then speckle them with blues.. or something similar, if you want a more interesting effect

I would try to match the color of the pots that will be on top of the pillars. It would end up looking like one lovely piece. I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide, I'm sure it will be fabulous!

Your garden is lovely. We are new to the Midwest and have been working on creating a new garden. We added nine dwarf Alberta Spruce trees to the area next to the small pond in the back. The labels varied greatly from The Home Depot stating 5-6Ft height max and local nursery label stating 6-12Ft height. 😮 For now, they are in the ground and getting chubby.

I think the 12 feet is more likely given what I have seen in neighborhoods. They take a while to get there though.

Not a fan of bright pottery but cool for you . I personally think from a design point having those pots on urns at two corners of the pool in the same color or as close to as the fence color would make fence feel less estranged from the garden. The pattern on the pots would also be brought out more. Colors from the flowers in your garden is enough attraction of color for the eyes. Enjoy!!!

I put in 4 of those gorgeous yucca in the center of a quadrant garden and one was struggling. After checking on it I found a bunny hole under it. Those dang varmints do the strangest things.

Yet another inspiring and great video Soleil, your name certainly fits your personality! I love the idea of evergreens in pots. I currently am nursing a white pine in a pot until it gets big enough to put in its’ forever home. Also, I have some junipers and want to purchase an Alberta spruce, so many good ideas that you share! Thank you so much! Gail❤️😢

Hi! Have you thought about the sparkling amethyst verbena for around the spruce? I think that would be really pretty filling in and spilling over. Van Atta’s or Horrocks has them in stock. I’m thinking of adding more winter interest as well and blue stars are a go to!

Soleil, It would be so nice to start coordinating your pottery with your new fence. I find that too many colors compete for attention. I like areas that are calming, allowing the plants to shine and be center stage.
