Just a tip to the wavy girl: If you really like the "its a 10" and "bb curl" and want to continue using them then i suggest clarifying with an actual shampoo(not a no poo) every once in a while since the it's a 10 and the bb curl have silicones which need a shampoo to be removed. Just a tip❤
Naru Summer 卌 IKR THE OTHER DAY MY FREIND WAS LIKE COME OUT WITH US AND I WAS LIKE NO I HAVE TO WASH MY HAIR SHE has straight hair so she didn’t get it 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The girl with the wavy hair could’ve had curls. Her hair is just heat damaged not wavy. It would be cool to see her go on a curly hair journey to let her hair grow out and slowly cut the damaged hair off.
@@maibel2837 Pretty much sure she was talking about the last girl with wavy hair Sheela (not sure how to write her name). Megan, the one who had cancer, indeed had to shave her head but it's been growing back and she's still taking care of her curly hair. So yeah, she still has curls
For the kinky curly girl she shouldn't yank the comb through her hair. That's if she wants it to grow longer....she basically ripping out her hair. I have 4c kinks and i know how rough it can be but yeah you gotta be gentle. I dont even use a comb...i just finger detangle and after 4 years my hair is belly button length.
I recommend that the wavy girl uses the low poo from the wavy line (yellow lid) and one condition original (green lid) from deva curl instead of decadence. Decadence is more for kinky curly hair, and the wavy line is really awesome for giving you the moisture you need without weighing your hair down! I also suggest ditching the styling products that are full of silicone which will also dry the hair out and weigh it down. I highly suggest Wavemaker and B’Leave In from Deva Curl for her hair type. I hope this is helpful. ☺️
LOL I have wavy hair (2c maybe? idk) and I HATED the delight line so much, it made my hair stringy and flat and the conditioner didnt do anything, I switched to the original line and had waaay more luck.
I have straight hair, and I've always wanted naturally curly hair. After watching this...maybe I'll stick to the curling iron. Much respect to my curly-haired sisters.
lolz dude i dot think most people with curly hair actually do this, i have naturally curly hair and i just shampoo and condition and brush it out while its wet when i get out of the shower
My hair is so straight a curling iron wont work. I have even had it curled in a salon only for the curls to fall out in 30 minutes. My daughters' hair are both curly, one lose curl and the other wavy. It is a whole different story than my flat hair. I just want them to love themselves and their hair. I find them precious. 😊
@@meIatonin Ja! 1) cowash 2) hair mask 3) hat 4) wait an hour 5) detangle, rinse 6) leave in and outta the shower 7) towel dry 8) curl definer + gel if needed 9) plopping (I think this should be foreign for anyone over 3b) 10) diffuser all the way if winter, half diffuse if summer
I have bone straight hair and it's so interesting to see what other people have to do to maintain their hair. I just have to wash it, almost never put any kind of conditioner in it, brush it out and let it dry. Takes about 1-1,5hours when I let it air dry and even less in the summer.
Lucky. If I don’t condition (which I always, always do) my hair goes into a dry frizzy crispy state. If I use to much shampoo and not enough conditioner my hair does that. I can only shampoo once a week. I hate such a complicated routine 😂

Dana Wolfhard well I can only speak about what I think is beautiful but in this society black woman are always told we aren’t beautiful compared to other races, especially white women because we don’t have Eurocentric hair, skin, body shapes, etc...so it could be that but I personally think she’s beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so regardless of what you think about her, it was my comment and I think she’s beautiful. And not sure what you being mixed has to do with it
Dana Wolfhard No offence but how come every time a black girl is praised you racists get all jealous and complain about it? (nobody cares that you're mixed btw)
everyone regardless of hair texture should be using all products that are silicone, paraben, sulfate, free because each does something crazy to your hair. silicone will coat your hair in basically plastic to make it look shiny and healthy but it will still feel dry because that coat won't allow much moisture into the hair. i dont remember what parabens do honestly but sulfate is basically salt meaning that it soaks up any moisture that in your hair. JUST A TIP FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS NICE HEALTHY LOOKING HAIR!!!!
Jada Collins-Jackson why isnt Cantu cream conditioner working on my 4a when it's dry? My hair gets easily moisturized but it never stats there ! Soooo friZzy. Is Cantu bad or smthing??
cantu is controversial for people because its ahit or miss. i like to use the curling cream while my hair is boarderline saturated but not fully and not damp. i use it with the cantu pomade and a spritz of oil to combat frizz. the pomade is what helps for me. try wet hair and scrunch dry and if that doesnt work try the cantu pomade. if THAT doesnt work then its not the best product for u. also make sure your hair is detangled
I usually drench my hair in water which makes it already quite defined, since my hair gets very defined and moisturized by water but also gets very frizzy. TOday I used a wide-tooth combed and got amazing wonderful curls while using cantu curl activator but as usual it didn't last! I always let my hair airdry, is that not a good hairdrying option? I honestly just want a defining curling cream :////// rahhh. I'll try oil though.
Honestly I use silicone and sulfate it is not that bad peaple ,it is part of the curly girl methode ,I don't want to follow it silicone makes the hair look good why not
I have wavy/curly hair, and am still trying to figure out the best way to take care of it. Currently, I shampoo and condition it every 3 days or so, and either don't wash it or just condition in-between. To style it, I use either a teatree oil mousturizer or an argsn oil spray. And every other week I use an olive oil hair mask. Still not sure if I'm using the right products :/
L 013 I have a cross between the second rountine and the third. I have had curly hair for over 20 years and I still don't know if I'm doing it right haha 😂
Gianna Marie thank you. I have been doing it for two months 😊 it's already starting to make a difference. But my curls also suffer because it work. I am not allowed to have my hair down. I think I need to buy some new less damaging hair ties 😅
Tips for wavy girly • don’t use comb. Just use finger. •If you like devacurl, use low poo delight or no poo original instead of decadence. •if you have frizz, try a different brand with less protein and more moisture. •try a gel instead of heavy Creme. Wavy hair literally just needs conditioner and gel. 💜
Haleigh Eddins not always true. I have about the same hair as the wavy girl; in the summer I typically forgo the cream and go straight to gel but in the winter months when my hair dries out I find that using a cream helps to lock in more moisture. But every head is different so it just takes a lot of experimenting to see what works best 🤷♀️🏻
Silicon... in natural hair? 😱☠️ noooooooooooooo. Deva curl products are bomb because they are silicone sulfate and paraben free!!!!!! (No offense intended at all!!!!) if you don’t believe me please look it up!!! I love seeing curly girls thrive and this info is helpful.
Pamela Chilensky being naturally curly is so hard. You seriously have to read every label to make sure that what you’re using won’t end up having your hair braking. 🤦🏾♀️ I’m still working on it. But once you figure it out , it’s so worth it
Alaina Howard there are products that are way less harmful and can do the same thing. Don’t take my word for it 🤷🏾♀️. But this info is widely available. Especially for black girls with naturally curly hair. You can always do your research.
When you have black, frizzy, coarse, dry, thick hair that can look similar to Sirius Black on a *good day* or like a hobo the next, life is very thrilling.
my hair is so weird. in some spots, it forms really nice shiny waves, in other spots its straight until the end where it curls up, and then in large chunks towards the front it forms huge ringlet curls that you can literally stick your finger up through. I want my hair to be more uniformly curled, but i don't know how. Tips?
Jennie Berglund 1)try to find out What kind of ingredients you hair like . For exsample my hair hates coconut oil and avocado oil. 2) make sure you use the right consitanty If you hair is wave or loose curled go with a less thicker conditioner and If you thighter curls or kinks go with a thicker conditioner. 3) try finding out What Your porosity is (helps to find the right products ) 4) as I said in the comments above avoid silicons , sulfates and parabens . 5) Remember for you hair Will not inmedialy look Great use a product for atleast a few weeks . If your on a budget try the daily defense deep conditioner . I hope this Will help , goodluck💕
My friend is a 4a. She started having frizz and less shine, so she came to me. (I’m good with hair) I asked her to take photos of the ingredient lists of what she used and email me. A bit of reading later, I realised that she was A) using devacurl and B) using stuff with multiple silicones and sulphates. A nice trip to the store later, she had some new products. Her hair is beautiful now.
My hair is naturally wavy, but it's very frizzy. I usually straighten it, but it doesn't really help. Edit: I should have been more specific in my comment. My hair gets frizzy the day I wash it. Usually, the worse is at the top of my head. However, the frizz goes away in a day. I'm quite ignorant about hair because I stopped caring about it.I used to straighten my hair a lot for school, but I actually like my wavy hair since it's longer. I would like to learn how to style it better so the waves are more defined. I tried using garnier, but it doesn't work well for me. Anyways, thanks for all of the suggestions guys.
If you want to continue to straighten it, I would reccomend having a brush or comb go through your hair just before the straightener. Like have it hold the hair and have the straightener follow. This helps separate the hair and the heat get throughout the hair so you don't have to go over it a bunch of times. Before i got a pixie cut I would put in an oil, coconut or like the garnier sleek and shine oil product in after my shower. That would usually help. If you do keep using heat, use heat protector, give your hair a break some days, I would just put it in braids or mess with styles, curling it overnight with the stay in curlers are fun to do cause the frizz helps with thier volume and that's all I have. Good luck!
The heat is making it drier. Frizzy hair can be caused by dryness, but it can also be the result of humidity or by messing with it too much once it's dried. You just need to experiment with different products, primarily conditioners or lighter creams (heavier creams will weigh down your waves). If it's from the humidity, try a good gel.
I'm assuming that's because the girl who used it's a 10 is using a sulfate free shampoo which isn't harsh enough to remove those silicones and she's trying to control her hair. That silicone is only gonna build up and make it hard for her. The first girl uses sulfate shampoo, and although she probably shouldn't use silicones either, she at least can wash them out
I don't know anything about it's a ten, but I know I gasped in horror when the kinky curly girl whipped out silicone mix. 😂 All my products are free of parabens, silicones, and sulfates for a reason. It always shocks me when people pull out that Unilever stuff from the "regular aisle". But I have to remember not everyone is as conscientious as me and a lot of people just grab what's cheap. I head straight to the natural hair products. Most of them are also cruelty free and vegan and not owned by major conglomerates who don't actually care about MY hair health as a black woman and are just trying to capitalize of me by diversifying their products *coughPantenecough*
My hair's probably most like Shila's but I found all the other girls' routines really interesting. I really appreciate the effort maintaining and taming curly hair can take. Go curly girls!
My hair is naturally wavy/curly. I've stopped straightening it and have been trying to find a routine that works for my natural hair but have yet to find what works. 😣
If you just stopped straightening your hair , probably that is not your final hair yet ,you have to wait until it grows back health , that’s probably just unhealthy length
how does everyones curly hair take so long, i have really curly hair and i literally just wash it and scrunch it up when i get out of the shower i don't understand what takes y'all so long
i think the person in this comment has a tighter curl pattern that your where as you can just scrunch and go different textures take longer the tighter the curls harder to manage

I’m like in between the loose curl and the wavy curl if that makes sense. Not as curly as the loose curl but more defined than the wavy curls. Anyone else or just me 😂
First of all you don’t need to wash your hair everyday because it is very easy to dry out your curls. I definitely recommend using a product while your hair is still wet.I like Garnier Fructis’ curly hair products. (Gels, butter creams, etc) there are many more brands and types it’s really just up to you to explore which one works for your hair. I would also recommend shampoos and conditioners formulated specifically for curly hair.I usually just let my hair air dry but if you want a quick way to get more volume and definition and aren’t worried about heat damage you could always use a diffuser attachment on a hair dryer. Make sure to use heat protectant though. These are just some tips from me and may not work for everyone. I hope I helped at least a little 😊.

The Hamster Army! Yeah mine used to span across 2 days but I’m starting to shorten it. I’ve just learned that I have to do my hair more often in spaced increments.
As a black female, I relate to the first one completely.....except I heard you aren’t supposed to brush/comb wet hair because it is more susceptible to breakage when wet. I skip detangling and go for a bun 24/7
😳😳😳 I’m just imagining all of the tangles and shed hair you have that’s caught up in your other hair. Whew! 😓 I’m natural with type 4 hair that’s almost waist length, so it’s perfectly fine to detangle wet hair. Of course you can’t be rough with it but it won’t cause damage if done properly. Detangling is a must.
Sherraine Phillips I don’t detangle dry per say, but I use a spray bottle and product. I just don’t do it right out of the shower. I guess I failed to mention that lol. Sorry for being confusing

hey there EXACTLYYYY
I love having my kinky curly hair. ❤
The only thing (one of the manyyy things) hard about having curly hair is telling people with straight hair/wavy hair that we can't wash our hair every day.
KK Le Smarshmallow SAME
KK Le Smarshmallow Yup
So true!! They look at you like you are the mist disgusting person in the world! 😂
IKR, I’m almost embarrassed every time I have to tell someone
oml same but i have wavy hair, when i go out with them at a hotel or traveling wise they always ask why my hair isn’t wet fisjd
Just a tip to the wavy girl: If you really like the "its a 10" and "bb curl" and want to continue using them then i suggest clarifying with an actual shampoo(not a no poo) every once in a while since the it's a 10 and the bb curl have silicones which need a shampoo to be removed. Just a tip❤
deva curl also has a buildup remover that you use like once a week idk if that covers the same issue you were addressing but there's that too :)
Something else she could do is run vinegar through her hair once a week. I heard this tip from my stylist.
Do you have a shampoo to recommend? I’ve been meaning to get one but there’s so many options 😮
Graci Schroeder Vinegar is great but its not strong enough to remove silicone. a shampoo is required
ashley For regular use try shea moisture, cantu, or maui moisture. They are affordable and great💖
The second girl thinks her routine is hard...*laughs in 4c*
*laughs even harder in 4d*
*snickers in 3c*
Let’s not criticize people for their hair routine. What isn’t hard for you may be difficult for her.
J Shapiro I didn't say it wasn't hard I just said taking care of 4c hair is way harder then that
Addison Simmons you want a cookie? 😂

Marley Russell haha yea right i rarely prepoo lol. Too lazy for all that
Marley Russell i only prepoo if i let my hair get super matted😬😬 then its a must!
Marley Russell lool whats your hair type? Im mostly 4c but i have some 4a at the nape ...weird asf my little brothers do too😂😂
Marley Russell oh the same as sis okay. 😭😭protective styles everyday✊
The girl with the wavy hair could’ve had curls. Her hair is just heat damaged not wavy. It would be cool to see her go on a curly hair journey to let her hair grow out and slowly cut the damaged hair off.
Um..she has cancer so she recently just cut off her hair so...no more curls
@@maibel2837 Pretty much sure she was talking about the last girl with wavy hair Sheela (not sure how to write her name).
Megan, the one who had cancer, indeed had to shave her head but it's been growing back and she's still taking care of her curly hair. So yeah, she still has curls
High five to all the curly hair gurrl shistersss out there 🙌🏻

For the kinky curly girl she shouldn't yank the comb through her hair. That's if she wants it to grow longer....she basically ripping out her hair. I have 4c kinks and i know how rough it can be but yeah you gotta be gentle. I dont even use a comb...i just finger detangle and after 4 years my hair is belly button length.
Dhynasah James How do you usually finger detangle for it to be effective?
True
slayy
Whats your hair routine?! 😢💔 I want to wear my natural hair, but only long hair suits mee. 💔 I need to grow my hair long.
Natural too. But I yank as well. I ain't got no patience
My hair is a mix between the "curly" and "wavy" hair in this video

Same, the frizz is a struggle
Not on your profile picture.
Rindez straighteners exist
Maybe your hair is a 2c or 2b
Am I the only one who cringed at the sight of the silicone mix?
tayler harrison
Girl Puh-lease 🤚🏾, I cringed at the sight of Pantene followed up with the Silicone Mix. That girl was doing too much. 🤦🏾♀️
Ayana Fletcher y she clearly cares for her hair and I might do the same when my hair fully grows back natural
TOUCH NOODLE silicones are bad for your hair. You can do some research and learn for yourself
Yes they’re horrible. That’s not caring for your hair, that is wasting money and DESTROYING your hair
silicones don't have to be bad - as long as you're washing them out. she was doing a bit too much.
My hair is long and curly so its very hard. You have no idea. Im not kidding you seriously have no idea. 😐
😦😯😭😡 💇
well kinky curl i understand but types like loose curl i don't understand since i have similar hair to meagans and no problems
It’s difficult. Really difficult. lol.

For the majority of my life i didn’t even use conditioner until now💀
Non-curly hair girls: wish I had curly hair
Us curly hair girls: lol no you don't :,)
Kim i know right?
That is soooo true
yeah especially the type of the first one, takes HOURS
Yep so true
Yup and they like to play with it so much.....
I have bone straight hair and it's so interesting to see what other people have to do to maintain their hair. I just have to wash it, almost never put any kind of conditioner in it, brush it out and let it dry. Takes about 1-1,5hours when I let it air dry and even less in the summer.
Same. I just put shampoo and call it a day. I maybe condition once every two weeks. Thank god. Curly hair looks complicated. I'm too lazy.
Same! I put shampoo and thats all. My scalp is dry but my hair is greasy, ALWAYS!!!
Damn... yall in luck 😂 I have curly hair but my routine isn’t as cluttered as these girls, maybe I’m doing it wrong 🧐
Wow I wish. Takes my hair maybe 4-5 hours to airdry fully
Lucky. If I don’t condition (which I always, always do) my hair goes into a dry frizzy crispy state. If I use to much shampoo and not enough conditioner my hair does that. I can only shampoo once a week. I hate such a complicated routine 😂
For those wishing you had curly hair. It's a lot of work. Like a lot 😂
alondra contreras Amen to that haha
Truuuu it gets annoying when ppl say I wish I had ur hair too

Not to throw shade but having kinky curly hair is an ENTIRE other dimension of hair care
Craig André ...I cant tell if you’re being racist
Koolaidkilla_ 420 right as if stating that having kinkier hair usually requires more hair care than looser type of curls has ANYTHING to do with race but okay sis go off
Craig André it's still a curl...
i cannot believe a universe where someone would think this is racist 😅
he didnt say it isnt a curl. he said LOOSER type of curl.

Nice to see the kinky curl at the front for once ...she’s so beautiful :)
And not sure what you being mixed has to do with it
Dana Wolfhard
She’s SEXY THOUGH!
But yeah beauty is in the eye of the beholder, there are many girls prettier than her, so yeah our opinions may be different
Dana Wolfhard No offence but how come every time a black girl is praised you racists get all jealous and complain about it? (nobody cares that you're mixed btw)
We don’t see her a lot
So she got a compliment
Is that ok
Yes all of them are beautiful
Just let her get complimented with no hate

When all that conditioner went down the drain I felt that
My CURLS were screaming !! LIKE SIS PANTEEN HAS SILICONE AND SULFATES THEN TO TOP IT OFF MORE SILICONE !? R.I.P moisture .
silicone is a name from and Spanish brand..... I never used it soo I don´t know about the sulfates on it
Sls is proven to be fine. Okay? Now silicone yes I agree with U
silicone is fine
Right all these natural no silicone products just ruin my hair unless I want to look like a mop I’m gonna keep on using silicones
I use silicones for my hair and honestly it makes my hair soft and easy to detangle.
everyone regardless of hair texture should be using all products that are silicone, paraben, sulfate, free because each does something crazy to your hair. silicone will coat your hair in basically plastic to make it look shiny and healthy but it will still feel dry because that coat won't allow much moisture into the hair. i dont remember what parabens do honestly but sulfate is basically salt meaning that it soaks up any moisture that in your hair. JUST A TIP FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS NICE HEALTHY LOOKING HAIR!!!!
Ruth Wondim shea moisture
Silicones are good ONLY IF they are water soluble. If not. Don’t use them. Always research ingredients
At 2:09 I know all girls always got a strand or two in their products no matter what 🤷🏾♀️😂
Advice: DONT USE PANTENE!!!!
Elinor Vlogs why?
works for me, but makes my curls straight which I dont like
Amirah k. No, sulfates make your hair frizzy and dry but silicones build up on your hair and it bloks your way where your hair grows 😂
@@heavenjudd7674 so it doesn't work for you

Honestly I use silicone and sulfate it is not that bad peaple ,it is part of the curly girl methode ,I don't want to follow it silicone makes the hair look good why not
I have wavy/curly hair, and am still trying to figure out the best way to take care of it. Currently, I shampoo and condition it every 3 days or so, and either don't wash it or just condition in-between. To style it, I use either a teatree oil mousturizer or an argsn oil spray. And every other week I use an olive oil hair mask. Still not sure if I'm using the right products :/
L 013 you should really only being using tea tree oil in a shampoo. it's very drying, and cleansing. for scale people use it to dry out their pimples
L 013 I have a cross between the second rountine and the third. I have had curly hair for over 20 years and I still don't know if I'm doing it right haha 😂
You should try going silicone/sulfate free it’s a game changer
Gianna Marie thank you. I have been doing it for two months 😊 it's already starting to make a difference. But my curls also suffer because it work. I am not allowed to have my hair down. I think I need to buy some new less damaging hair ties 😅
L 013 same
Tips for wavy girly
• don’t use comb.
Silicon prohibits moisture from getting in the hair shaft. Natural hair will have a hard time thriving if it’s not getting enough moisture
Pamela Chilensky being naturally curly is so hard. You seriously have to read every label to make sure that what you’re using won’t end up having your hair braking. 🤦🏾♀️ I’m still working on it. But once you figure it out , it’s so worth it
She uses what’s best for her
Princess Azula Zu Zu... it’s not what’s best for her. Silicon is literally horrible for hair.
Alaina Howard there are products that are way less harmful and can do the same thing. Don’t take my word for it 🤷🏾♀️. But this info is widely available. Especially for black girls with naturally curly hair. You can always do your research.
Shila your hair getting sooo much better and healthier I’m so happy for you

my hair is so weird. in some spots, it forms really nice shiny waves, in other spots its straight until the end where it curls up, and then in large chunks towards the front it forms huge ringlet curls that you can literally stick your finger up through. I want my hair to be more uniformly curled, but i don't know how. Tips?
Try Getting rid of products with sufaltes , silicon and parabens . If you Dont deep condition Your hair maybe that Will work.
Vanessa hey I want to start deep conditioning but I don’t know how to choose one deep conditioner. Do you know one that is good.
Soomin Kim Watch different hair routines and try a different one everytime you wash your hair
Denman brush. Thank me later.
I like Pizza Do you comb it after you turn off the water? I had the same problem until I stopped doing that.
Good luck!
Sounds like it's dry af
Alexandra Haynes it's not. My hair just gets really frizzy after I wash it and let it dry.

It’s curly but damaged
everyone’s freaking out about the silicone in it’s a ten and no ones mentioning how silicone mix is literally just silicone lmao
I'm assuming that's because the girl who used it's a 10 is using a sulfate free shampoo which isn't harsh enough to remove those silicones and she's trying to control her hair. That silicone is only gonna build up and make it hard for her. The first girl uses sulfate shampoo, and although she probably shouldn't use silicones either, she at least can wash them out
Lydia 33x ahhh okay I didn’t even notice that!
I don't know anything about it's a ten, but I know I gasped in horror when the kinky curly girl whipped out silicone mix. 😂
All my products are free of parabens, silicones, and sulfates for a reason.

I’m like in between the loose curl and the wavy curl if that makes sense. Not as curly as the loose curl but more defined than the wavy curls. Anyone else or just me 😂
Gracey K same. Any advice for a sister because right now my hair routine is just conditioner and scrunching and air dry, with no brush.
My hair is wavy but i have loose ringlet type curls in my hair too its so funny lol i understand what you mean

As a black female, I relate to the first one completely.....except I heard you aren’t supposed to brush/comb wet hair because it is more susceptible to breakage when wet.
I skip detangling and go for a bun 24/7
Unofficially Talented is your hair relaxed?
RavinJ nope. I have never had any chemical treatment done to my hair
Wow, detangling when wet and full of conditioner is the best time for me, no way i could detangle when dry, just be gentle when its wet
😳😳😳 I’m just imagining all of the tangles and shed hair you have that’s caught up in your other hair. Whew! 😓
I’m natural with type 4 hair that’s almost waist length, so it’s perfectly fine to detangle wet hair.
