I'm actually terrified just watching that! Did vintage ceiling fans just typically spin much faster, or is that due to different operating voltage or something?
Incredible to see something more than 100 years old with so much power!

They had to do the job, no A/C back then! I suppose the voltage difference makes up a small part of that.
