Vennlig hilsen Kjetil Dahl

How did Brunvoll get their engines to run so much smoother than other hot bulb diesels? Most of the competition hit and miss but this one doesn't.

Brunvoll made wonderful engines, but I would say all Norwegian hot bulb engines ran like clockwork, no hit and miss attitudes in any of them. Listen to Wichmann, Finnøy, Union, Brunvoll, Volda, Rapp, and others. Just like clockwork, and smooth. That said, a worn out engine does not run as smooth as an engine that is well kept and maintained. Still they were famous for having their own sound, so people could identify the boats coming in with fish based on the engine sound.

Wärtsilä would not like this longevity 😆. Sell you more parts in a years time 😆. Opa was always right 😊
