i know break starter HoF is kinda OP on a GC. but on bronze you can do without it. i find that chase down block or block in general (like you said) you start to get a lot at 6'9. posterizer when moving seem to work as a burst (so contact dunk animation + acceleration = more moving contact dunks) but big man contact dunk posterizer badge helps on HoF. to get charge call in 2k17 it seem like you want to be weak so you get ran over.
You are speaking the truth, it is frustrating playing 2k as a LDD
there has to be tiers to each badge.
i.e. pick dodger bronze can't get caught in a screen animation unless the screener is at least bronze brick wall.
with that, the archetype system is good, but it can be better. you should be able to combine a couple archetypes and select 3 gold badges and 2 silver badges to go along with your main 5 HOF badges. Honestly though, the biggest issues with the game are simply how long it takes to load into the game and then into the park. from there the issue is all got next errors in the park. way too many times my people get kicked and we've already wasted a half hour just get into the park lol. they need to work their servers big time.

Gold is just as good to get cause once you initiate the contact dunk you don't know what will happen

You'll get hammered all day by Brick Wall and sent to the ground.
2. Corner Specialist (HOF)
Glass Cleaners, Athletic Finishers, Slashers all shoot as well in the corner as some sharpshooters and stretch bigs. Bronze is just as effective.
1. Break Starter
This one has me heated a lot because it is so inconsistent. Who gives a GLASS CLEANER a couple playmaking bars and HOF Break Starter. Glass Cleaners botch half court passes and then the guys who don't have glass cleaners get mad and the ones who do just sit there like "I feel you bro." These passes are high school level passes they're missing
I like that corner specialist because bronze is more then enough

I do agree with Break starter tbh, I have bronze and it's just fine I hit touchdown passes in Pro Am all day, it's all in the timing - no need for HoF grind.
But I gotta ask ma dude, why do you think a HoF badge means you should be automatic every time the situation is unclear to you?
- Pick Dodger ain't gonna help yo ass if you keep running RIGHT into the screens, it's amazing when you learn how to move around screens.
- Posterizer is OP on a Big Man, enough said get it down low with enough STR and you don't even need to drop-step before posterizing him. Posterizer also helps you initiate dunks when otherwise it would be a layup (based on defensive position, your momentum and contact)
- Charge Card straight up sucks unless you know how to set charges, just because you have the card doesn't mean you're a Manu Ginobli at taking charges now - it's an art form you have to learn!
- Chase Down Artist is seriously OP on HoF for a Big Man with lower weight (higher acc & speed) to stop almost any fast break in Pro Am (70+ Agility + ~10-15 Agility HoF boost and 94 Def + Some Skill = GG)
- Break Starter-type passes are also VERY dependent on the receiver's path & momentum & HANDs rating. If he is running a squiggle route your fucked. If he runs straight and at the same, consistent, speed - fast or slow you'll be fine.

you don't need charge card to pull that off I do it all the time with my glass cleaner only on bronze and its just as effective

Chase down replace with the eraser badge Charge card replace with new badge which gives you a less chance of getting fouls
Pick dodger replace with pass interception
How do players get your dribble moves to be soo fast? ive seen some ridiculous handles and i dont understand how they get that? Do you know anything about dribble postures and if that affects it. And how do i change my playmaker to dribble fast?

I think they changed how screens work.. My 6'5 post scorer with HoF brick wall was very effective originally, now everyone dodges it easily while I constantly smash into athletic finisher's screens. I think weight must be a big factor now, he has 60 str but is light as possible for a SF.
Rim protector hof is broke af, I get more blocks with a short armed stretch with that badge on bronze then I do with a long armed paint protector with that badge on hof. Also dimer hof is not worth the grind either, I don't notice a bit of difference when someone passes to me with that badge on hof as I do with it on bronze. I'm starting to think all these badges are not worth the grind to get them on hof.
Kenny Christopher they're only worth it due to the fact that if all your 5 upgradeable badges are HoF lvl, then when you run into somebody with Bronze defensive stopper, then they'll still be gold. Or if they have HoF Defensive stopper, then at least they'll still be bronze and not cancelled out completely.
speed is the most important thing with the contact dunks. my 6'7 SG with 78 speed wouldn't contact dunk at all. my 6'5 pg slasher with 89 speed got them way more often
Here's a tip for making outlet passes, pull up icon passing and press the button DONT TAP IT, press it as if you're trying to make a bullet pass in madden. It works for my playmaker and I only have bronze break starter. I throw full court outlet passes like Kevin Love with consistency

brutal your list is pretty good, the only thing I would change is to put dimer somewhere in top 5 worst. This is simply do to the fact that the dimer badge no longer gives the open pass receiver a boost to there follow up shot attempt. As long as people max out their playmaking I don't really see the point. Passes are the same to me whether you have dimer or not
the funny thing is that dimmer would be difficult to gauge

Ayyyyye lol, I have break starter on bronze, and I always get accurate passes after I grab a board. The trick is to move up some after you grab the board. Maybe 6 to 7 feet away from the rim. Expressive to me is the most useless badge ever.

What the playmakers probably do is remove all other dunks leaving only the contact dunks. Also the fact that they're playmakers no one is expecting them to bam it, where as slashers it's expected. I don't stand under there against slashers I make contact with them before they even take off... I have a 6'10 point forward.
you can't stop playmakers form getting there because of their speed which is why with the contact dunks, they're more dangerous
hof posterizer is nice actually. it seem that when u yse the stick to dunk and u know what hand ro dunk with my slasher can get alot if posterizer.its effectiveness is key on the player speed and vertical. that why when u see playmakef making more contact dunks with only bronze is because maxes out at 90+ while some slasher on max out around 80 maybe 85.if the people learn to use the stick with the slasher i promise that hof posterizer is op

Bruiser, charge card, pick dodger, tear dropper are useless to me. I see your point on pick dodger. Hof and still getting knocked down. Like my defense is 99. Pick n roll iq is 99. Pick dodger hof. Defensive stopper hof. Still get dropped. Now the chasedown artist id have to disagree. I think u just made your lockdown just a bit too small. I made mine 6'9 and i purosely give them a little space so i can block em from behind. I do it exactly how i grinded for the badge lol. I feel like a 6'8 lockdown with minimum weight but be the best build just cause they get that little bit extra speed.

Got lockdown defender grand in 6 games just cuz of gold pick pocket, only good badges are pick pocket and defensive starter, rest are just not worth it, like charge card does nothing in park, chase down just may get that speed boost to get a block, and pick dodger still gets u send to ground asap on HOF brick wall, maybe even gold

I've gotta 7'0" AF & get hella contact dunks. Maybe take a look @ the dunks you have equipped or don't have equipped. Hopefully that helps

My slasher literally just does weak layups everytime but god forbid my 6'4 sharpshooter friend unblockable continously dunking on people
RaVe x Tacozz make sure u have no dunks equipped and use shot stick and push back that's what I do and I get contact dunks, hope it helps
Yeah... I'm an LDD of course.. I get contact dunks like a motherfucker... mostly in the post, I believe my HOF Bruiser is what's helping me with this... also I block SLASHERS more than any other Archetype.. HOF Charge Card is pretty useless in Pro-Am... it's too ridiculous of a badge grind for what I call a 'utility belt' badge... it's a badge you want in your toolbox to break out on the rare occasions when you need it... but it's too much of a pain in the ass to grind for...
The Lob Mob yeah no doubt, that's a serious grind, and the grind vs reward just isn't good enough

chase down artist got a buff... because my sharp shooter at 6'6 with max wingspan get lots of chase downs. My point forward gets the most because he has the speed and length over my LDD. If HoF chase down worked flawlessly, it would be OP.

my top 5 would be:
1 - charge card
2 - break starter (beyond useless... my playmaker / point foward can make better passes w/o badge)
3 - pick & popper (rare that both leave me to follow and I have enough time to shoot w/o a contest)
5 - flashy passer (for looks... awesome, but pointless if you're in proam and trying to win)
5 - pick dodger (rarely works... if i have more strength, i shouldn't get bumped like that)
Your playmaker and point forward make better passes because their passing is in the 90's... flashy passer is nice in the park because theyre so fast. Pick popper is nice because u set a pick and run. Your pg has to pass it at the right time tho. Pick dodger, charge card, and break starter are trash.

I have always though that instead of a playmaker/point forward having flashy passer HOF which takes two games to unlock they should have a shooting badge which is tireless scorer because all of your playmaking is 94 already you have dimer HOF so you shouldn't need that badge to throw a flashy passer can throw flashy passes with my sharpshooter with it on bronze and I don't have 94 playmaking. Recently I have had two turnovers with my playmaker throwing a break starter pass smfh

How tf is Charge Card even considered a badge for lockdown defenders? Drawing a charge is not related to defense; they should've just made it one of those blue badges like microwave instead of wasting an upgradeable badge for an archetype.
