Buh-lair! My parents grew up there. All my grandparents were from there. We used to visit every summer. My dad and his friends used to tear up those hilly roads in my PapPaps car!
The house you guys mentioned that is “under construction” @ 10:30 I believe was left abandoned after the homeowners went to prison for SA children. It’s a horrible story, but it’s heart warming to finally see that house be torn down and erased from the atrocities that happened there.
My grandpa used to own the house at the top of the hill on a 20 acre tract. He used to take us for rides in his jeep in the 60's. I was scared to death. My dad inherited the house when grandpa and grandma passed away. Grandpa was a coal miner and died of black lung at 60, grandma was only 60 and died of ovarian cancer. Dad eventually sold the land. My dad also died only 16 days after he turned 60, heart attack. Short times together but had lots of memories. My special dog, named Angel was buried on that hill. Loved seeing the ride up! Thanks for posting.
Really glad I stumbled upon this video! My dad used to take us on this same "Sunday drive" when we were kids in the 60's. This sure brought back some good memories. Thanks for posting it!
Wow! I had relatives on Winding Hill Road, their back yard overlooked the river.
Thanks for that memory!

Just beautiful. I've never been up there. Grew up in Bellaire, but never made it to Winding Hill Road.
