Hi Kel just a bit of advice about kitting up chatelaines in Australia. It costs a small fortune! 😂 There is a company in the US called European Cross Stitch who specialise in kitting up Chatelaines. Yes the kits are expensive but Cindy does a brilliant job. I have found a way around the huge lump sum outlay by buying gift vouchers on the site over several months and then using these to order the kit. I have kitted up one Chatelaine myself and the shipping costs almost doubled the costs because it is almost impossible to find all the threads in one place and you mostly have to order from the US anyway and the beads are even harder to find. The other brilliant thing about ECS is that when you buy the bead kit you get just the amount of beads you need. The other thing to be aware of is there is a significant shortage of some of the specialty threads especially Glorianas which is pushing out wait times for kits. ECS has a fb page if you want to check this out. Hope this helps.
@donnaredgen5134 thank you for the info. I knew that it was going to be expensive, so I've got a plan in place for next year, that will hopefully give me a good chunk of the money. Who knows, by this time next year I might have changed my mind as well lol 🧡🧵🐎🧡
Your colors on your MFE SAL look soooo much better than the original. I like the fact that you started in the middle. We get to see "the good stuff" right away.😊
@lynncordova8169 thank you, I'm well pleased with the way they are looking together. Centre starts are fantastic for that reason and why I'll stick with doing it that way 🧡🧵🐎🧡
Hi Kel, could you put the gold thread in the two rims? of the clock, year pattern. That garage is bang out of order. Thats why i'm glad we've got the insurance sysem we have. You're stitching great numbers👍. See you in a fortnight 🤗🇬🇧
@mrsmiggins6435 mmm they are definitely taking their time on making a decision, especially when it wasn't my fault why the accident occurred. Happy stitching 🧵🐎🧡
Hi Kelly what great progress you made! Congrats! I’m relatively new to watching your channel but am loving your content. Gotta say I recently was looking at chatelaine designs and I about choked when I saw the price of the patterns lol. Then I saw the prices for the materials kits…yowza! Saw a good video from kitschy wips on things to consider re chatelaines. Worth a watch if you’re thinking about taking the plunge. Happy stitching! Dany
@danysewcrafty thank you, I always knew that they were expensive but when I converted I almost had a heart attack lol. Then ailarra told me it will cost approx $350usd to kit 😱 ooohh I'll go and watch that, thank you. Happy stitching 🧡🐎🧵🧡
@sharonmarie66 thank you, it won't be for quite a while yet. It may take me 12 months to kit it up and I've been informed that I will have to try 28ct for best results lol 🧡🐎🧵🧡
@catharinestitches I've done a fee stitch with me's. Haven't for a while though, just can't seem to get the time where there is no one else in the house, also I usually don't have much to talk about lol. I will try to get back to doing them. 🧵🐎🧡
@MsSplashIt are you talking about the nurge hoops or the knock-off nurge hoops. They're both the same size. If you search for embroidery frame on temu, they should come up. 🧡🐎🧵

@@KelsStitches 1 over 1? Yikes! I remember seeing someone say about how long it takes to get some of the threads and stuff, they are very beautiful!
@sharonmarie66 apparently it's mostly over 2, and it's easier to do the fractionals, etc, on the higher count fabrics.
@@KelsStitches makes sense! My brain often does t make sense of things 🤣
