  • Planning #lehladakh roadtrip? What to know the #expenses #cost and #route from #pune ? In this video I will be putting down my cost expenses in terms of #hotel , #fuel and #tolls . Food & shopping is something personal and subjec to personal choice so not considered here (tough i have added 22k as rough figure of what I spent). It can help you budget your travel accordingly specially if you travelling from road and looking for budget options. Please watch my videos episode by episode or specific one which match your needs and each one of them have the hotel details in description.
    Hello my dear watcher, my name is Gaurav Jain & I did a #ladakhroadtrip #trip between 12th Aug to 28th Aug 2022 with my wife and 4.5 year old kid. We started off from #pune with my #vitarabreeza #brezza and took the following route
    #pune #ratlam #jaipur #pathankot #srinagar #kargil #leh #ladakh #nubravalley #pangonglake Karu #manali #narnual #ratlam #pune .
    We had a lot of memorable momments in this trip and we will be putting some of them in this series. We will also tell you thing to keep in mind if you travelling with a kid.
    We crossed extremely difficult terrains like #changlapass #khardunglatop #baralachapass pass and also faced heavy #landslide zones near #ramban #nubravalley to #pangongtso & #leh #manali route.
    we came across one the finest roads in India e.g #nh152D between #narnaul to #ambala at the same time route with no roads at all e.g near pangong, changla, barlachala etc. It requires a lot of skill to drive in these terrains and would not recommend in case you dont know how to drive in mountains.

    Thank you for this video! I think for a petrol brezza the rough estimate should be 80-83k if I am planning! Otherwise very informative and will definitely help in planning!

    • @thetravelmatic
      @thetravelmatic  2 роки тому

      Thank you Ankit, umm the difference in running cost of diesel vs petrol is something you will have to check, cost of 1ltr petrol/avg mileage will give u per km running cost and then multiply that with roughly 5700 kms will give you a tentative cost for this trip from Pune. What I know is the difference bet petrol and diesel per km running cost is around 1.5/- subject to mileage of car, so you might spend atleast 7-8k extra on fuel compared to mine for this trip. But yeah 83-85k maybe should be a good tentative budget overall. If you planning next year do let me know, never know might join you again! 😊

      Hi Pramod, nahi meine kahin bhi advance mein booking nahi ki thi bas booked few hours before reaching my destination and kahin kahin pe toh direct jake 15/20 min based on google review and budget humne call karke booking kari on d spot. Negotiations matters bcoz overnight stay for travellers bolne se they also understand and reduce. I have given name of all the places where I stayed in respective videos description. Aap jahan ka bhi soch rahe ho us video ke description mein aapko name mil jayenge.

    Hello I am planning the same trip I need some suggestions for this year.
    1- Traveling in the second last week of June how will it be , an ideal time ???
    2 - Did you book the hotels beforehand or you just went to the location and selected the hotels. ??
    3 - Do we need any Permits ??
    Thank you in advance I loved your detailed review

    • @thetravelmatic
      @thetravelmatic  Рік тому +1

      For point number :
      1.) June will have snow and water crossing might be high too all depends on how bad summer will be this year.. normally June july is when maximum snow melts. You must travel in group and should have a good vechile and tyres. If you don’t want to take much risk and snow is optional for you then plan in August.
      2.) No all hotels were booked on the go randomly and that is best for overnight stays.
      3.) Yes you do need permits to visit near border areas like Turtuk,Nubra,Pangong etc. process is online just visit leh dc website and book for the duration you planing (range is ok, e.g 7 days in leh) and you can then visit any place in ladakh.
      Thank you for watching videos.. if you have further queries feel free to ask.
      Cheers.

    Hi we saw your Ladakh trip videos, and in that we found you have fixed luggage carrier on roof of your vehicle, since it’s a private vehicle and as far as I heard it’s banned so how you managed?
    Did you face any issue due to that particularly as cops have stopped you or objected anywhere..?
    We are concerned as our trip is planned in Mid August (20th) from Goa by our brand new Grand Vitara and will be covering 8000 kms (Goa-Pune-Indore-ND/CH-Manali-Rohtang-Leh-Srinagar-Gulmarg-Amritsar-Udaipur-Mt.Abu-Statue of Unity in Gujarat-Surat-Saputara-Alibaug-Goa/Madgao) and due to space management we are likely to fix same but fearing challan etc, not so encouraged.
    Kindly advice..

    • @thetravelmatic
      @thetravelmatic  Рік тому +1

      Hi, so honestly I haven’t faced any issue whatsoever anywhere during the trip, I used carrier only initially till pathankot when I folded seats to make small bed inside. I saw lots and lots of private vehicles have carrier installed and luggage kept on it. I think its the height that is issue, if you keep couple of suitcases then it should be fine. Also I think just as precaution if you want you can check with local RTO for a permission. Where did you read that its banned for private vehicles? Last I checked it was allowed.

    Why did u plan trip in Aug and not in May /Jun / July?

    • @thetravelmatic
      @thetravelmatic  11 місяців тому

      To avoid extreme water crossings and road blockages, to avoid peak traffic load where it gets difficult to enjoy and absorb the beauty, to avoid high rates at hotel’s and easy availability, lastly wanted to avoid extreme cold situation as well since I was travelling with my kid.

    I am going to buy a car. I will use it
    to Explore India. Need Space, Comfort and power. But confused
    Between Ertiga and Brezza. You have first hand experience to travel on extreme roads like in Ladakh. Please suggest which one i should buy.

    • @thetravelmatic
      @thetravelmatic  Рік тому

      Hi Pranav.. so bit difficult to comment but I’ll try.. Brezza is good for a family trip of 3 (at max 4) people for long journeys. Space and comfort is just right if you are just 3 people on long journeys so that back seat can be used to stretch and relax. In terms of power it is adequate for most of the places like highways and normal hilly areas but not all places like some difficult terrain in Ladakh specially at high altitudes (passes) where even oxygen is less you feel a bit of a miss in terms of power. A bit more is what you wish for but it struggles.. It’s not a deal breaker bcoz we really don’t often drive in such conditions. Talking abt positives the car gives exceptional milage, enough stability too at high speeds and overall is a good package if you are a family of 3.
      Now my experience with ertiga is exactly the same but instead of 3 you can travel 4-5 ppl comfortablly for long trips. Rest everything I have mentioned abt brezza is 90% applicable to Ertiga too.
      So final decision should be based on
      1.) Budget
      2.) No of ppl who will travel long distance
      3.) Is power really matters or Milage for you.
      Cheers, good luck with new car.. do let ke know when you buy one.. smiles

      Thank you very much for such info and heartily suggestions. I have booked Ertiga but after watching your entire trip to Leh- Ladakh i was rethinking about Ground Clearance of Ertiga. Because the engine is same. Thanks a lot for the answer and best wishes for your next trip.

    • @thetravelmatic
      @thetravelmatic  Рік тому

      @@pranavlokare1943 Congratulations Pranav.. Ertiga will do just fine.. saw many Ertiga’s on my trip there.. a little less ground clearance- yes but its ok. only feedback I have is on Tyres.. now I’m not 100% sure but have heard that ertiga tyres are not that wide considering its a 7 seater car at times comfort gets compromised.. if there is a scope of upgrading tyres do go for it.. with brezza you get 215/16/60 which gives added comfort.
      Congratulations once again!! 🎉 🎊
