20:03 Some indonesians did go to Australia, especially fishers or traders from seafaring cultures. I read about the Makassarese and Buginese sometimes traded with the aboriginals while on fishing trips or exploration. There were also reports of the Portugese and English seeing non european ships (Phinisi ships) near Australia that were from the Makassarese and Bugis people in the 1700s and the English tried to communicate with them but ofc they couldnt understand. There are more stories though from the Makassar perspective, but I’m already typing too long😂.
And also yeah, indeed they didn’t know what to do with Australia, since Australias is...yeahh, mainly dessert, especially the north coast of Australia.
The Dutch also ditched Australia, because of the same reasons, dispite being the first Europeans to discover Australia.
And also because they already had Indonesia and soon after that England takes Australia because *stonks* .
Thanks brother
When i heard your comments, i think you have enough knowledge about Indonesia...
Dont forget to try "Lampung Coffe" originally from Indonesia (Sumatra Island)

19:46 some of the sailor tribes like Bajau did know the existance of australia while the Javanese also "know" that place, but the sea that separated them are belive to be the realm of Nyi Roro Kidul (Queen of the South Sea) so most of them didnt dare to ttravel there,

Based on your commentary on the video, I suggest that you make your own show. You have much better knowledge (or much better research) than most of other youtuber that try to explain other nations.
and,
About the Ottoman expedition, they never conquered anything in Southeast Asia, rather those expedition sent to help the Acehnese Sultanate to fight off the European Invaders, the Acehnese paid the Ottoman in precious stones. I guess some kind of protectorate nation or something.
flag is pretty similar to singapore too
Actually Indonesia feel betrayes and got mad when Malaysia with Singapore not join them into one nation, when they declare their Independence
Better watch/read the 2019/18 info of indonesia for specific stuff?
You're the most knowledgeable youtuber reacted to the geography now Indonesia. Are you history teacher or something? Great reaction!
why indonesian ancestor not discover Australia in the past you said, well it's because there's a myth of south (java) sea.
Actually people from south sulawesi (makasar/bugis) have done
they discovere it, but...
they don't try to live in there...
We discovered and made trade with locals there, but it seems we are too busy with our internal affair especially wars between brothers :)..then came those arrogant Whiteys.

0:55 I don’t mind..
That's not random.. 17/08/1945 is our Independence Day
Java is a name of an island in indonesia (formerly, dutch east indies) where the coffee planted there got it's name. However it was not our ancestor but the dutch who brought coffee in to east indies around the colonial/ v.o.c era. The dutch had enforced the coffee plantation in the islands (java, sumatra, bali, etc) then exported it.
I think coffee just spread out of Ethiopia to the world through trading, just like how chilli spread out of Mexico and became part of the cuisine of many countries in the world who’s people don’t know where it originally comes from.
Papua island has the most cultures and languages, but there are too many to put on the map😂
Despite the Indonesian half of Papua only having 4,3 million, while Papua-New-Guinea having 8,2 million people.
Indonesian papua has 532 languages and Papua-New-Guinea has 852.
This is old video now Indonesia batter,. 。^‿^。
Dinaric, I congratulate you for speaking English without any distinctive Slavic accent to these American ears.
Yeah.
Orang utan=man Florest
yaman traders
They found "Indonesian" DNA among some indigenous Aboriginal people in northern Australia. They came long before westerners. they just didn't claim it. Fun fact, there are Muslim-Sundanese on Australian Christmas island for generations
Krik rkik Not komunisme konflik
