Double Lariat isn't just about Luka spinning! I can't let this disrespect slide. YY being at the end of video made me so happy! Glad to see vocaloid channels supporting new vocaloid producers. 23.exe deserves more views, their songs slap, and are really made well. Polygon Miku is something I never expected to like, yet I get really happy when I see her now. Luka has been my fave vocaloid for a looong time, Double Lariat means a whole lot to me because I first heard it when I was still a newbie in the vocaloid community. And it kinda inspires me to try harder and that it's okay not to be the best, so I really love it and it only strenghtened my appreciation towards Luka. Also, I really like how No Logic, Double Lariat, Afterglow, Toeto and also a bit of Track create sort of a "childhood" for Luka, representing her in various ages and styles, the most iconic ones being little Luka with the kitten hat and her with short hair wearing glasses. I don't know if it actually has a connection, but I really like that detail. Also, Luka's songs always seemed more inspiring to me than most of other vocaloids' songs, they spread hopeful messages and I can relate more to them, so of course, her voice means quite a lot to me.
I remember a period of time where the rock genre gained prevalence in Vocaloid music as Vocaloid music production became more sophisticated and started to expand into other genres outside of jpop/electropop! Luka with her more mature voice and appearance fit the new sound and tone well and I remember Yuyoyuppe's music with Luka on vocal being some of the best i've ever heard. :)
Honestly Luka is my favorite vocaloid to this day but it's probably because JBF sits in my top 3 fav songs all style confounded. Crazy how a single song I discovered in highschool can bias my judgement forever.
I just wanna say I absolutely love your channel, dedicated and consistent Vocaloid channels in 2020 of all times is really hard to come by, and yours is truly a diamond in the rough. I was 9-10 when I found Vocaloid, your channel has been super informative on events and information my middle school brain wasn't even thinking about or looking out for at the time. I'm glad to have a source of information that speaks to the cultural movement that was a enormous part of my childhood. I'll be waiting eagerly for new videos!
oh my god... you're entire channel is such a nostalgia trip! I was there! I was listening to vocaloid all the time and I remember when Luka was EVERYWHEREEEEE
Just Be Friends is such a masterpiece, I still can't get over it; the song and music video just bring me back to those years and the art gives the vibe of those anime dress up games that I used to play for hours while listening to Vocaloid and watching anime :((
You got a sub, luka still my Queen actually thanks for projects like circusp That Keep her alive most of it in english language, Also it Will be good of you talk about pinocchioP Keep the good Work
Honestly, I've been interested in vocaloid for so long but I never played it. I just listened to it growing up. I wish I knew the song just be friends sooner it's such a slap. Honestly its interesting that theres so much history and detail about vocaloid. Thank you for making these videos because it's so enjoyable to learn these things.
I remember how Luka completely dominated the rankings when she first came out. It was the most enthusiastic I ever saw the Vocaloid community for something new and beautiful. Damn, I'm old.
Luka was my favorite when I first entered voca in 2009 and watching this explains so much why. I saw her everywhere and every song mentioned I had on my ipod 😂
idk why I cried when double lariat started playing, it brought me back to a time in my life where I was really obsessed with vocaloid and yes luka was my favourite vocaloid
Ahhh so much nostalgia! Luka really was one of my favorites. I was always so happy when I found a song that featured her! She will always hold a special spot in my heart. Oh and don't even get me started on the cult following soon after of using her in rock music! Her timber was so good for that genre. Leia, Corruption Garden, Hot Milk, Night and Day, Last Song, Meiteki Cybernetics (Otetsu as a whole tbh), -and who could forget Wash My Blood- . It was always so fun (if frustrating) digging through releases and lesser known producers looking for works featuring her!
I just found your vids tonight, and I gotta say that I really enjoy them. I don't listen to video essays as a rule, but yours are really great. Also thank you for explaining TakoLuka. I never understood why that was a thing.
I LOVE Luka. I've been into Vocaloid fan since I was 12 and I don't interact with the fandom so I didn't know till I read the comments that Luka is basically dying as a Vocaloid now, makes me so sad to hear. She's one of my favorites. Also wondering if you thought of making similar videos for other Vocaloids, I would love to hear about the rise of Kaito or Rin & Len. :D
As much as I love Miku, because she is iconic, no doubts there, but I always preferred Luka and her songs. She is just so unique. It's sad she is underrated and often so forgotten, maybe that's why my love for her is so strong, to make up for all the love she deserves but doesn't get from the community. Love Luka
Thank you for making these videos. I used to be sooo into vocaloid from like 2010-2015, but gradually stopped listening during high school. I've been starting to listen to old tracks in the last few months which is probably why your videos popped up in my UA-cam recommendations. They're so lovely. I also love Luka haha, and it's amazing how much data you've accumulated about her. You've got a new subscriber! :)
I really like what you brought to this. Glad people will become informed more about this period, got into vocaloid in 2010 and it’s been a wild ass ride since
it's really fun to see this, 'cause i actually entered vocaloid thanks to this period! luka was indeed my first vocaloid, and I'm very attached to her~
The most important vocaloid song to me isn’t deep or anything like rolling girl, it’s actually Luka Luka Night Fever. That song kept me going for so long with its upbeat vibes and just because of that luka will always have a number one spot in my heart
This video captures the great things about Luka, and I really do respect it. It's a shame that great songs like KuwagataP's Interviewer, Pablo Bablo's Mug Shot, Yuyoyuppe's You and Beautiful World etc didn't get enough attention, there's some really sick tunes there. props to you bro, looking forward for your next vids (y)
i think luka is still a queen today, even though most people prefer miku. luka is under-rated unlike kagamine len( -banana boi- ), rin and miku, but she's still a queen to me :3 i really miss those times gosh dangit ;~;
Yeah, I got hooked into vocaloid because of her. Course, Miku has the best songs and the most fine tuning and support but I always love seeing Luka. That one Track PV was mind blowing to me when I realized Luka actually did beat them all once upon a time.
I do love Miku, But I love all of the Vocaloids and Utauloids, and I wish they could all be recognized just as much as Miku. Luka has a wonderful voice and I’m glad you made this video. First video I’ve seen of yours. 🖤
I really love Luka, I fell out of vocaloid for a couple of years and came back hoping to see more of Luka and I really can’t find much? I know vocaloid is dying in general, but I was really sad about it. She is my favorite, always has been :(
@@nero.belladonna1568 I don't exactly know what you mean? Luka's always had less songs than Miku and Len/Rin. Luka, Kaito, and Meiko have always been kind of second tier usage wise for Crypton Future Media's vocal synthesizers for music producers. I just don't get why people keep saying the Fandom is "dying", the art, stories, and music of vocaloid is accessible to learn and make yourselves. (I'm hoping to buy Miku soon for example)

miku is like me in school!! new relatable character
i just found your channel, and ive been binging all your vids. its so nice to see more youtubers come forth and introduce new viewers to the history of vocaloid, at least now seeing as miku is preforming at Coachella! its an exciting time, and i cant wait for more people to start loving vocaloid the way we have for over a decade. thank you for uploading new videos, it warms my old weeb heart to the core
No problem man thanks for watching haha
Luka Luka night fever it's one of my favorite songs ever, there's no way i can listen to it and feel angry, the dance it's cute and funny, it just lift you up.
She's still the QUEEN OF VOCALOID👑✨
Been waiting for my boy at 6:16
Green shirt guy is a legend
Okay you need more attention your videos are very well made and accurate. Im so happy our fandom is recovering
YY being at the end of video made me so happy! Glad to see vocaloid channels supporting new vocaloid producers.
23.exe deserves more views, their songs slap, and are really made well. Polygon Miku is something I never expected to like, yet I get really happy when I see her now. Thank you again for adding that small clip of YY in your video, hopefully this will help 23.exe get more popular in the vocaloid community.
Great video as always! I also appreciate to the shoutout of 23.exe's song "YY". It's such a banger and I hoep people start paying more attention to him as a producer.
By the way congratulations on your college graduation and good luck on your future job. It might be tough to get used to work at hte beginning but I'm sure you'll manage. Don't worry about making us wait for videos.
I rather wait a bit and get quality content like your videos than get a half assed video. I enjoy your videos a lot but your private life, health and well being is the most important thing. Don't overwork yourself, take small steps and take care of yourself. We'll wait for you :)
Thanks NikuNicole you're the best!
Luka Luka night fever is the song that comes to mind whenever someone mentions Luka. Another honorable mention is megane and just be friends.
Stardust Utopia?, RIP=Realease?
I remember a period of time where the rock genre gained prevalence in Vocaloid music as Vocaloid music production became more sophisticated and started to expand into other genres outside of jpop/electropop! Luka with her more mature voice and appearance fit the new sound and tone well and I remember Yuyoyuppe's music with Luka on vocal being some of the best i've ever heard. :)
Oh yeah. Magical Mirai 2013 was quite rocky.
This content made my day~
I'm so proud of my girl.
I remember this period and man, I miss when Luka was popular. She's been my favorite since she was released.
Happy aniversary queen ♡
oh my god... you're entire channel is such a nostalgia trip! I was there! I was listening to vocaloid all the time and I remember when Luka was EVERYWHEREEEEE
LUKA LUKA NIGHT FEVER IS MY FAVORITE VOCALOID SONG
Just Be Friends is such a masterpiece, I still can't get over it; the song and music video just bring me back to those years and the art gives the vibe of those anime dress up games that I used to play for hours while listening to Vocaloid and watching anime :((
You got a sub, luka still my Queen actually thanks for projects like circusp That Keep her alive most of it in english language, Also it Will be good of you talk about pinocchioP Keep the good Work
Luka was my favourite vocaloid growing up
Honestly, I've been interested in vocaloid for so long but I never played it. I just listened to it growing up. I wish I knew the song just be friends sooner it's such a slap. Honestly its interesting that theres so much history and detail about vocaloid. Thank you for making these videos because it's so enjoyable to learn these things.
Just Be Friends is still in my heart, just saying
Another good video! Focus on the job dont worry we can wait :)
I love luka she need more attencion
I remember how Luka completely dominated the rankings when she first came out. It was the most enthusiastic I ever saw the Vocaloid community for something new and beautiful.
Damn, I'm old.
Luka was my favorite when I first entered voca in 2009 and watching this explains so much why. I saw her everywhere and every song mentioned I had on my ipod 😂
I love luka so much she deserves the world !!
idk why I cried when double lariat started playing, it brought me back to a time in my life where I was really obsessed with vocaloid and yes luka was my favourite vocaloid
man Megurine Luka really is genuinely just the queen of Vocaloid...and the queen of my heart.
Flower's still my favorite though. I love their voice.
how about IA.. if anything.. shes the one who really turn up and blow the competition like crazy
Luka introduced me to Vocaloid so shs has a special place in my heart
I just found your vids tonight, and I gotta say that I really enjoy them. I don't listen to video essays as a rule, but yours are really great. Also thank you for explaining TakoLuka. I never understood why that was a thing.
I’m glad I found this
I happened to join the fandom as the one true queen came out, Luka's still my favorite to this day 🐙
I LOVE Luka.
i miss the luka and meiko days !!
I really like what you brought to this. Glad people will become informed more about this period, got into vocaloid in 2010 and it’s been a wild ass ride since
Luka's and Miku's Ai Dee is a banger
I really loved that time!
Now i feel that so many vocaloids are making the attention delude.
Not gonna lie when Samfree died I cried my eyes out.
Why did he die ?
Pls do something about Harumaki Gohan, also very nice Luka video, I personally love Leia by yuyoyuppe
Boku wo koroshite yo
僕を殺してよ
LEIAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
レイヤー
thats my favorite Luka song
Yuyoyuppe is just an amazing producer period. Leia is a fantastic song. It's so awesome to see he helps write + mix songs for Babymetal
Luka will always be my queen
Luka night fever , the best song to touge to in your ae86 when up against a yellow fd
Nani?! Daburu Lariato Dorifuto!!
wow! just found your channel. glad to see other vocaloid historians out there. great content!
it's really fun to see this, 'cause i actually entered vocaloid thanks to this period! luka was indeed my first vocaloid, and I'm very attached to her~
The most important vocaloid song to me isn’t deep or anything like rolling girl, it’s actually Luka Luka Night Fever.
You and Beautiful World was such a lovely song. Palette too. 😭
Luka is still a queen in our heart's damn it! TwT
i think luka is still a queen today, even though most people prefer miku.
luka is under-rated unlike kagamine len( -banana boi- ), rin and miku, but she's still a queen to me :3
i really miss those times gosh dangit ;~;
If I ever cosplay Luka I'm 100% gonna use the gluttony sword from final fantasy.
Luka has always been my favorite.
Yeah, I got hooked into vocaloid because of her. Course, Miku has the best songs and the most fine tuning and support but I always love seeing Luka. That one Track PV was mind blowing to me when I realized Luka actually did beat them all once upon a time.
These videos are some of the most informative most interesting videos on youtube, thank you!
Someone needs to make Luka popular again
somewhere in an alternate universe: *”Man, i miss when Miku was popular :( it feels like it’s all about Luka nowadays”*
Thank you so much for video! This is such an interesting video, thank you for providing us with vocaloid history!
I do love Miku, But I love all of the Vocaloids and Utauloids, and I wish they could all be recognized just as much as Miku. Luka has a wonderful voice and I’m glad you made this video. First video I’ve seen of yours. 🖤
yooo toeto put me in big feels when i was 15, that and the luka cover of tori no uta
I really love Luka, I fell out of vocaloid for a couple of years and came back hoping to see more of Luka and I really can’t find much? I know vocaloid is dying in general, but I was really sad about it. She is my favorite, always has been :(
Ok what is with everyone thinking vocaloid is dying?????
@@mikafizz1022 Vocaloid is more alive than ever maybe it’s (sadly) mostly Luka’s popularity?
@@nero.belladonna1568 I don't exactly know what you mean? Luka's always had less songs than Miku and Len/Rin. Luka, Kaito, and Meiko have always been kind of second tier usage wise for Crypton Future Media's vocal synthesizers for music producers.
I just don't get why people keep saying the Fandom is "dying", the art, stories, and music of vocaloid is accessible to learn and make yourselves. (I'm hoping to buy Miku soon for example)
Your videos are so entertaining to waaaaatch
So, she's already my favorite for being the prettiest one of the group, and having a lovelier voice, but now I learned her item is tuna? lol Awesome.
Luka has always been my favorite >.
