This was probably said before, and I'm unsure if it's even intentional but, I really like how the same voice is used for Alatori and Elliot? Like it seems to switch who's talking, but it's always the same voice? It kind of drives home the point that Elliot is completely controlled by Alatori. I really love that detail.

I haven’t seen anyone bring it up, but I’m super curious about that puppet with Elliot at close to the beginning, it looks like it’s meant to be a woman, though it’s face its covered up by the mask of Alatori’s face. She seems like she was close to Elliot in some way, since when she “dies” they seem to be really distressed.
I’m guessing this is a reenactment of Elliot first meeting Alatori, someone close to them is murdered and Alatori shows up when while they’re grieving. Probably using that to ensnare Elliot so they’ll follow his plan, since the death of that person is so hard to bear. But of course, it’s a trap and now Elliot is stuck with Alatori, clearly suffering the most in comparison to all the other hosts for the Vani’s.

I like to think that Tera is canon to the VW universe and is just vibing in the background eating candy while the world fucking ends.

I remember watching the first Vanishing World and looking at the ring of circles at the end and thinking "wow, this is gonna be a long series of songs, will it get finished one day? Nah, it's just gonna be abandoned like a lot of other vocaloid song series"
Then when the second and third songs of the series came up i thought "yeay another song! Vanishing World continues! But it's probably gonna take a long time for the series to finish, like around 7 years, oh well, I'll wait, i like this narrative told through this songs!"
When the remake of Aberrant Garden came out i was kinda sad thinking you were going to revamp the series from the start and it will never really get an end.
And now, with the fifth song of Vanishing World being relished, i finally realized, we are half of the way done, like.... wow, just wow! In just 2 years we are so far into the story, with complex lore of the world and the Vanis, each one with different personalities, appearances and abilities, they're not just a 'i gonna rule the world with the help of this kid i brain washed muahaha' kind of creature, some care for their tether like the Vanis from the third and fourth songs (i forgot their names, sorry), others don't really care as long as their doing their jobs, and other like Alatori here, who completely broke/used their tether just to get what they wanted how they wanted, without a real care for them.
I'm so happy i found you and the Vanishing World serie, and that i was able to be along for the ride from the start, and now we are so far from the start yet some far from the end, i can't wait to see what's next, like, what's going to be the next element, what form will they take, what will happen to Null? Etc, etc. And of course, to some day finally know what's that weird dripping/crackled element at the top, I've been wondering that from the first song XD

So then perhaps the lime lights (ha get it) at the end are for disease? I also noticed Null's skeleton, monster eye, and freckles are green at various parts of the video. I don't know if that's a coincidence, but maybe it either means Side B will be from Null's perspective, or she has some bigger role in the disease Vani portion.

The description looks to be dialogue from Elliot, trying to use peoples fear from previous attacks to get them to come to a theater where Alatoris grand device is. It also seems that 'detach yourself, and walk alongside yourself as a spirit' refers to Alatoris plan. If i recall, Alatoris element was revealed in the discord sever as 'ghost'.
Someone pointed out in said server that while the title is glitching at the beginning, the words 'countdown carousel' can be seen. This will most likely be the name of part B of the song.
Something i notcied is that at the 0:36 segment is that Elliots cutout slowly starts to deteriorate i guess????
Another detail is at 0:44 there are puppets which are probably supposed to be the other vanis
At 1:00 the texts read:

First of all, the line before this says "He's found a way to separate the body from the mind." 'He' refers to Alatori, and also a little bit of the religous imagery as it praises him. The line suggests that Alatori can take away the processor part of a being. This would connect to the repeated line "give into the impulse" as without a processor theres only the identity and the vessel, taking reason out of the picture.
The first paragraph suggests that humans used to be some kind of shapeshifters, as 'uniform' refers to the shape of a human, suggesting that this was not the natural form of a human and that humans adopted the form.
I belive this ties into the monster forms people would turn into during Xelzerins attack.
"The mind is responsible for knowing what to do to protect the Body, and is also responsible for interpreting the feelings and traits of the Soul.
The Soul would not know what pain is without the Mind to interpret it, a fatal flaw in its otherwise beautiful design. Why doesnt the mind ignore pain? Why does it allow this turmoil we feel?

While the last part is redacted we can assume it refers to Elliot, Alatoris tether (that would make the redacted part 'i must test it on my tether'). Through the whole song it seems Elliot is nothing more than a puppet, as through the whole thing their body is connected to strings and acts like a puppet. 'Soul webs' makes me think of string.
(Side note here, in the server it was mentioned that Alatori was gaslighting Elliot, this ties into the religious imagery and makes me belive Elliot did regard Alatori as a god, which Alatori also seems to try to make others belive(). Alatori was puppeting/manipulating Elliot and this becomes literal )

And the second line refers to the results of being separated. We also get a good look at what appears to be Alatoris device.

Alatori has spared Null, but they may lose more than the mission next time. Elliots looks a bit sad here.
Remember how Null said in one of the descriptions that the organization was gonna turn her into a super soldier? Maybe get rid of her memories? If shes interacting with Elliot peacefully she might still have them, but it seems she still left a life and identity behind. If she tries to mess with Alatori again, she'll lose her identity again. Maybe fully.

Oh wow, this is amazing! But we've recently found out that 3:24 is most likely the Goblin Girl, as she was hidden in Kalkoris theme with a proboscis and stuff. Also, the black shadow with glowing white eye, awfully familiar, ey? (Also, her distinct bangs can also be seen if you look close enough.)

It also seems likely they're related, and that Null knew them before they joined.
The part about Nulls memory being wiped is, on second thought, probably not true, im going to edit that part but still reference the letter Null wrote as it seems very important. (If i recall its on US description) Null is their new name though they used to be called something else. If i recall correctly the letter is phrased as a goodbye, so maybe while they keep their memories, they still left an old life behind.
I could be reading into this too much, but I can't help but notice Elliot's cutout's hands at 0:54. This could possibly be referencing stigmata, adding further religious imagery.
So I think the girl who was watching through a hole in the roof is the unknown character from the fourth part that we saw when it was showing all the previous vani and catalysts. But due to the claws this girl has, I’m starting to think she’s both her own catalyst and a vani. Just a thought.
Oh, and if she’s not the final part, judging by the design of the current catalyst, she might be after side B, because she also has a mostly black outfit.
(Edit: IT JUST HIT ME ABOUT THIS PART’S VANI. At the very beginning, during the first part, didn’t the scientist’s wife get turned into a monster? What if this Vani is responsible for that because they also turned Null into a monster. A big stretch , but a possibility nonetheless.

A ghost clown cultist! Perfect for spooky month!
Flora, Frost, Flame, Technology and then Puppetry theres a theme to the words i think maybe we can follow the elements some how with a linkage like flora frost and flame
The elements are: Plants, Ice, Fire, Electric and Spirit. Pretty sure Vau (6th or 7th earth team Vani) is lik disease or some shit.
I honestly feel bad about forgetting about this series for so long, because I missed this gem. I've watched it several times over and I have a good analysis of some of the finer details. Even from the start at what could be called the "title screen" there occasional glitching with the title card, showing Alatori's head with teeth and realistic eyes, as well as the text on the board being distorted and changed. Symbolizing that this new Vani isn't quite all there, further evidenced when our scythe wielding protagonist shows up and starts to "upstage" Alatori. Alatori loses it, not just in terms of emotional composure but overall as the visuals become more distorted and disturbingly realistic, with human hands and realistic shading in the second part of this meltdown. Now as for Elliot, I'm pretty sure that they've already gone through what I like to call the "association punishment" that all Vani tethers end up going through, we saw a good example of this in the previous episode where it showed what the association punishment was for the tethers of the plant, ice, and fire Vani, before seeing the association punishment for our newest contender, having become one of the machine hybrids she was creating in the first place. I think here, with Elliot, they've already gone through their association punishment, being the first subject of this soul severing. This is further evidenced in the notes that flash by around the 1:00 mark, where it implies that the soul is part of the reason the body has control and is able to act on it's own "However, to manipulate things, it can control the body like a puppet." If you watch Elliot throughout pretty much all of it, they're being manipulated in some way, whether it be strings attached to them or a basic cardboard cutout, they're obviously no longer in control, further hinted upon by your comment, "and may or may not have as much self autonomy as we do, oh dear..." and even shows at 1:43 where their head is down but their arms are moving, as if someone forgot to hold the head string of a puppet up, letting the skull lie limp while the rest moves. Which hints at another side of Alatori, the inherent sadism, not really caring about their tether like incinera and deneko, going through the notes at the 1:00 mark again, it shows their overall goal is to become a god, not just any god, but a god of gods, it doesn't care about the consequences of what it's doing, it's only focus is on it's end goal.
This is why I love your videos, there's so much to pick through and comb over that I'm always finding new details to talk about, I'm really looking forward to what I'll end up finding in the B side of this part.
(EDIT: apologies for the misuse of pronouns, I honestly forgot about the the nonbinary part of Elliot due to being so involved with writing this, I fixed it now.)

Since this is the most recent video, I thought I'd put a certain pattern I'd been noticing in the comments of this video. That being the transformations of the Vanis.
Firstly, we have Xelzerin. Kaylee has a flower on her head for the entire beginning of both Aberrant Garden and Perennial Crisis which has Vani eyes in the newer version and disappears once Xelzerin appears. I remember him having a different nickname, but due to those facts, I'm under the impression they're the same creature. Xelzerin transforms shortly after we see Kaylee's first sign of no longer being herself (1:05 in that video).
Then, there's Morzogo. Morzogo's is a little more subtle, but he takes off his cloak at 3:05 in that video, directly after we see poor Steve beginning to regret what he's gotten himself into.
Next, we have Insinera. Insinera breaks free of her shell in order to better protect her darling Patch, but she scares him in the process.
Deneko may not appear to have a transformation, but I propose that due to his closeness to his Catalyst, his transformation is actually the cat robot itself, as we can see by the fact that Deneko is the one controlling the robot while Katrina merely stands on top doing... whatever it is she's doing.
Alatori is also an interesting case, but I have three ideas in mind. Alatori is the only one we know for sure to be aware of Null as he recognizes her? in the crowd, and he's taken full control of his Catalyst, so he may have spent enough time with Elliot to have already gone through his metamorphosis. The other two ideas have to do with the fact that I think his element is the mind. As we can tell by the opening to Vanishing World, the mind is the very thing the Vani aim to destroy, so his element being that very thing would likely make him extremely powerful, so his transformation could have just been a given very early on. Or, the more interesting option, his transformation is into that of an illusion of the mind, as portrayed by the sudden shift to surreal art at about 2:36 of this video.
The real question now is, what do all of these transformations have in common? When do they occur? They all seem to occur at the climax of the song, but that would be more likely to be a narrative trigger rather than an in-universe point.

Alright ya'll time for a theory. Ok so first off i think the catalyst and Null know each other. The info in the desc ain't there yet but when it is it might help. Anyway, at 1:42 the catalyst is looking through the window at Null and they seem worried. They also seem upset at the end when Null is turned into a monster. That, and Null had emailed someone before signing up, as seen in the desc of Ulterior Spectacle. That person was called Piper, so until I get a name for the catalyst I can't be sure if I'm correct or not. Also, pretty sure the figure looking down from the ceiling in the one part is the girl who was watching from a building in Cognition Factory. Still think she's a catalyst for the blob vani.
Edit: Forgot to mention the part at 1:55 where I think Null is reaching out to the catalyst. She seems kinda concerned from what little I can tell.

Okay so I thought of something....on a record player there is side A and when you flip it over becomes side B with two songs on the record. So maybe, just maybe the "Carousel countdown" from the glitch in the beginning is just another perspective of this song
Also I might have found out gremlin girls identity, elliot's sister Charlotte, which explains why she would be her and what we see of her almost matches the description of Charlotte

Ok so, Null my have become and immortal monster. But I don't think there done finding and stopping vani, worried about the "win" this vani got tho. As well as there catalyst, poor dude. The unknown catalyst form part 4 seems to have returned, simply watching from the shadows.
Well my guess for the next vani based on this video relates to either black or white. This seems to suggest meeting there leader next, but that doesn't make sense, right?
UPDATE: A white colored and black colored vani exist separately from the vani leader, so it's highly possible we will get one of the two next!
