Lord vishnu took srinivas avatar to search lakshmi on the earth when he comes down he goes to vakula devi(maa yashoda in previous birth) house when he was in forest padmavati devi was playing with her friends with a ball suddenly one elephant comes near padmavati devi, with fear padmavati runs into the forest at that time srinivas comes and saves padmavati. With this incident they fell in love and srinivas goes to his mother and says i want to marry padmavati devi padmavati also asks her parents both agree with this. In the presence of all gods srinivas and padmavati marries each other. Lakshmi devi comes to know that srinivas(vishnu) married padmavati. With this lakshmi devi comes near padmavati and srinivas, lakshmi devi fights with padmavati saying that srinivas belongs to me and padmavati also says the same thing while these both are fighting srinivas goes two steps back and becomes statue there this is the statue which is in garbagudi, tirumala.
