Holly Newman Clydesdales are pretty close to that. If you want tall, go for a racehorse, but if it's stocky you want, check out a Shire. And if you want a huge horse, check out Nobby

looks like the horse was listening to the camera lady, whoa means whoa. The horse would look back every time she made that statement. If that was what it was doing, that is a good horse!!
I was brought up in Blackburn, Lancashire, England and Thwaites's dray horses were still working into the 80s for local deliveries. They were a common sight when I was a boy, and were well known internationally on the competition scene. Gorgeous placid horses and were the horses knights from the Middle Ages used going into combat, and not the smaller race horses Hollywood would have you believe. I’ve no idea why this came up in my recommendations, but I’m glad it did as it made my day start off with a smile.
SundaysChild1966 There’s nowt wrong in being the child of a Lancashire lass. Besides the brewery the were lot of pony and carts in my childhood, rag and bone men and coal were the two I remember. Hello Mark, thanks for the response. Yes, I am also a .. "Coal Miner's Daughter"! Mum's not bad, her memory is starting to fail though .. such a pity .. dementia. She lived in a 2 up 2 down with an outside loo, shared with the neighbours, can you imagine that now? Born on Great George St. and worked at Coops, started right after her 14th bday.
While I understand WHY they cut tails, I ALWAYS hated it for multiple reasons. It really harms their ability to keep bugs off themselves, but I also find that cut tails look UGLY. Sure you can see their nice rumps better, but does not make up for the bad looks of the cut tails.
Some racehorses are staying in a stable. One of them starts to boast about his track record. “In the last 15 races, I’ve won eight of them!” Another horse breaks in: “Well in the last 27 races, I’ve won 19!” “Oh that’s good, but in the last 36 races, I’ve won 28!” says another. At this point, the horses notice a greyhound, who has been sitting there listening. “I don’t mean to boast,” says the greyhound, “but in my last 90 races, I’ve won 88 of them!” The horses are clearly amazed. “Wow!” says one, after a hushed silence. “A talking dog!”
Ever try to play Tug-O-War with a draft horse? Look at the other horses just watching from behind the fencing. It's almost like they're laughing at the silly human.
@@tinkeringtim7999 Why would you think there wouldn't be stubborn horses? It's like saying they have no personality of their own. Any animal, horse, dog, bird, monkey or child can be stubborn. Even well trained animals can have their bad days. In the case of this video, I think it was just ment to be cute.
Follow inscruction: -Take a big rope -Take a tractor -Connect the tractor and the halter with the rope -Pull the horse with the tractor whereever you want.
Horse is connected to tractor. Tractor starts pulling. Horse doesn't move. Tractor doesn't move. Horse, bored with the "game", turns and walks away. ...dragging the tractor! ~.~
my papa tells a story of a horse named dixie who was incredibly stubborn. he had hired someone to train her to ride and she just... stopped in the middle of a field with the guy on her back and her saddle still on. no matter what he did, she wouldn't move. So, he just got off and left her there, fully tacked, and went to his house. the next morning, he looked out his window, and she was still standing there. she hadn't moved a muscle.
this horse is beautiful. I like the strong and sturdy legs. and the shoes is very fitting for the horse. as thought he or she is walking on heels. and they have well define body sculpture. very strong horse :)
I've had the same happen with Belgians I used to work with at a local country park. Trick is you need to carry a buggy whip, which is a long rod with a little whip on the end. When they stall like that, you tap their butts with the whip to get them moving again. The two I worked with, Ann and Dolly were sweet girls and we had a strong bond, but they could be VERY stubborn at times. They hated being put to work, same as 99% of all horses I've ever encountered.
My great-grandfather owned a road-construction company way back when they still used teams of draft mules and horses. My grandfather told me a lot of stories about having to work with those animals, but he had no fond memories of the mules. He loved the horses tho! They were powerhouses and he appreciated the work they put in. He had to help rig them up and them rig them back down and take them out of their harnesses, brush them down, and feed and water them - but he hated caring for the mules because they were both stubborn, strong, and eerily smart - and if they had a grudge - they'd bide their time until they could get back at you (and whatever slight they perceived may or may not have been real, lol). One of their workers lost a foot because when he led a mule into his stall, the mule stepped back on the guy's foot and wouldn't budge. I believe it was wintertime, there was soft mud in the stall under the straw, and the mule's hoof sunk the guy's foot down. He spent quite a while pounding on the mule and screaming for help, but when he finally got help it was too late and his foot had to be amputated. I have always loved draft horses because of the stories my grandfather told about them, but have only been around them a handful of times (altho I've been around horses a lot). It is true that if you turn and face away from a horse and walk where you want it to go, it'll just fall into step with you and follow. But if you stand and face them and try to pull them toward you they'll resist if they don't want to go. Also, I figured out if a horse won't come to you, you can do the same thing and they'll just walk right up to you, but you have to watch their body language (especially those ears, head positioning, and their tails) or they might walk up and bite you!

It is forbidden to cut off the tails. It still happens, but a lot less than 10 years ago.

You can't ask a horse to go forward if you are in frot of him. It's basics...
You can teach a horse how to make fun of people who don't know the basics yet.
they know how to do that without teaching^^
