I had a dream that there was an advert for pokemon on kids wb where they could talk and it was onix arguing with Brock and for whatever reason it was called “Monkeymon” or something. That was either a weird dream I’ve always remembered, or an actual advert for pokemon that I haven’t seen since
I love how most of these, if not all, don't have people talking or random PIKA noises. Finally, some Pokèmon lofi without random voices scaring me half to death mid concentration.
I was 7 years old when Ruby and Sapphire came out and my Dad got me the game, I would take it everywhere, Listening to Littleroot town theme on the Gameboy on a hot summer day in the park. I am 27 now, life will never be the same :'(
You know what ? I buy 2 modded GBA (one SP and an other one classic) with IPS screen, USB C Battery etc... To goy my childhood in my pocket but with modern technology, and i buy back all GBC and GBA pokemon games, and 2 wireless adaptators to play with friends, it cost me like 1500€ (approximatively 1600$). But i can say it now: It was freakin worth it. I am 25 and i officially play pokemon since 20 years, that was a gift for myself :D
I just try to appreciate that I got to experience it at all and hope that one day I can be the dad who enables the same happiness in my children one day
I'm 26 and I clearly remember whining incessantly on a road trip because my big sister had sapphire and I wanted pokemon too. We were somewhere in South Dakota I think, pulled into a random Walmart and my mom found and bought me a cartridge for Red in there. I can't remember how I reacted in the moment but I certainly played the crap out of Red on that road trip and beyond.
I haven’t touched a Pokemon game in a year because of office work and personal errands. I sometimes look over to see my 3DS and Nintendo Switch collect dust and heave a sigh of lament forcing myself to come to terms that this is no longer the life I had 15 years ago, curling up in bed with my DS after school, grinding and shiny hunting on my Alpha Sapphire or Heart Gold. Nostalgia overwhelms me and this painful realization dawns on me that the firm hand of destiny beckoned me to leave this aspect of life behind, what was once a cozy cocoon of escapism is now a sliver in my heart evoking strong memories. Sometimes I feel my shiny Typhlosion call out to me from my saved game file of Heart Gold, it yearns my companionship and wishes to rekindle the joys of strolling down the amber hued path to Bell Tower when we sought to capture Ho-Oh. I’m 29 now, hope to get engaged soon, and from then on my responsibilities will only increase and soon enough these games could end up being a mere afterthought. This is probably the most painful transition in the life of a Pokémon trainer yet. This creeping sense of maturity and my benevolent conscience confronts me to pass on my Pokémon treasures (games spanning across eight generations and a Pokémon Home account full of shinies and legendaries) to someone who has the time and youth to rekindle such memories and enrich their childhood.
I'm here with a 7 month old boy on my shoulder about to go to sleep while listening to this musics that are so familiar and yet so far down in the past. 36 y/o this year and I feel like you. Life has changed so much. I have a job, a wife and a kid. I'm thankful for what I achieved But I can't help it.. I miss old times pretty much every day.
Ill be 33 in july, the passing of time is strange. Along the way you will lose some things, everyone does. However you keep some things with you too. I still play Pokémon on my old sp when I'm waiting in line or outside chilling. If you are younger just know that you get to keep some things too :)
dude same to all of that except i have the OG GBA and still play Crystal or emerald haha. When i went to the field in the Army before retirement i would bring that GBA and a worm light and when we had down time just bust play crystal for the umpteenth time. in fact i might go grab that.....

Same here. 32. Lost beloved people, felt the weight of life many times. But I still play pokemon ruby when I want a few hours to feel like a child again. Beautiful memories. Life has a lot of happy moments, It's good to grow up and learn about life, but we need that happy place to release our inner child sometimes.
Takes me back to when I got my first gameboy, and I played FireRed and Sapphire for hours and hours. Really good times, and this music brings back great memories.
we live in different countries & states, but all remember walking down the same routes & towns. So glad it was part of my childhood, priceless memories.

Trying to relax with pokemon, which is my childhood, helps me to get in a peaceful place easier. When i was younger I used to hear at this Littleroot theme all day, along with Lake Verity theme. All things aside, I now have a dog--back then when I was listening to this exact video and channel... I have depression. Now, I have my dog to melt my anxiety and stress away and heal my wounds....

I remember playing pokemon emerald for the first time after being introduced to Pokemon and chose treecko as my starter and from that time sceptile was and is my favourite Pokemon Like I'm literally connected to that very Pokemon even when grown up Anyway play it at 2x to get real nostalgia
I remember playing Ruby in the car. We stopped at a store and while my stepdad went in, my mom wanted me to teach her how to play. She caught a Pokémon. I don't remember which one it was. It's probably one of like... 5? Good memories I have with my mom, where I actually felt like she was a mom and not some hateful drunk.
The happy days are over, a bright light in my soul has shut off, never to turn on ever again, I suppose the brightest bulbs often burn out first. Only the memories are left and even those will fade away never to be recalled again one day.
