Reactive world is probably the best lore friendly mod out there where you can play a part of conquering towns. I wiped out ever United Cities and Holy Nation territory and now are either destroyed or taken over by the opposing factions.
@@DimitriSlobodianyk If you combine Reactive World and Take Over the World, you can take back any forts or settlements that the Dead Hive has conquered and rebuild them, but you can't completely wipe out the Fogmen, there will always be roaming squads in the fog islands if you do combine those two mods, keep plenty of back up saves cuz they sometimes glitch each other

They're my favourite part of Kenshi though so I'd never want to wipe them out entitely. They were my very first "I'm going to die here." I feel like Kral never meant his last stand to be strictly taken as "if you don't die in battle you're a disgrace" and more in a "fight 'til the end when you've got no hope of survival" Nothing mindless but more in a way that a parent would sacrifice themself for their kid
Same could be said for the holy nation, with Kenshi 2 coming around in I would guess within next five years; we should get a clearer picture of the fall of civilization on the moon called Kenshi.

Living with any faction in Kenshi is terrible. The holy nation: terrible for everyone who isn't human. The United cities: terrible for everyone who isn't rich. The shek kingdom: terrible for everyone who doesn't enjoy being beaten up by the shek on the regular. The western hive: great for everyone except filthy hiveless, "I hope you like fish and being eaten by beak things, because that's what we're getting!" The southern hive: terrible for everyone that doesn't like being mauled by a giant robot Gorillo. Black desert city: "I hope you don't need food and are acidproof..." Cannibals/fogmen: do I even need to explain why they're terrible? 2nd empire: terrible for everyone, they don't even care if you're a skeleton or not, they'll just beat the sh*t out of you and wait for the skin bandits to collect your remains... Tl;Dr: we need to build a wall to keep everything out, and we make the beak things pay for it!
Swamp Clans: basically just Mexico under total Cartel rule Mongrel: you're free from all other factions but stuck in there, or welcome to join the fogmen; I'm sure they'll be happy to make you dinner The Hub: comfortably neutral, if "comfortable" for you means complete squalor and poverty unlike anywhere else Flotsam: femdom guerrilla city-state..........actually that sounds lit, sign me up
I love kenshi, now I'm doing only skeleton run with one scorchlander as quartermaster, who is crafting armor for us. I have only 5 combat characters, my main one, Burn, Saidneil, Angu and one other skeleton I was lucky enought to find (only one I was able to find). We defeated much of the threads and now going for Phoenix. I love Kenshi lore, hope you keep posting videos! Subscribed.
Only one thing. United cities would not be able to survive without slaves. As Tengu said, there is not enought food for everyone to live freely. That's what I love about Kenshi. It's not black and white. Holy Empire is build on rebelion against skeleton. They are afraid that skeletons will oppress (changed from enslave based on your other video) them again. United Cities have problems with food, they can either have slaves or all starve to death. Sheks pretty much tolerate other races, but they see them as weak and useless. It's really grey. You can get behind any of major factions with good intend. It's like real world, nothing is just evil or just good, there are always reasons and pressures on leaders.

@@Emperor_D0nk I mean, if you were poor, lonely, and starving and a bunch of racists brought you back up, you'd probably think racists weren't so bad. Not saying racists are good people, but the good actions that help you survive may distract from the blights of that group.
Honestly after all the crap that many of those people that formed the HN went through at the hands of the skeletons and Shek during the second empire it's understandable that they would be so reactionary against other races. I'm not saying I agree with it but it's understandable. It's a sad fact that those who are oppressed often become the oppressors when they end up in control. But seriously every major group are 💩in this world, but just in different ways, and afaik everyone is racist at against at least one other race. It's kind of nice not having a clear "good guys" vs "bad guys". You make you choices and deal with it or kill em' all and let Okran sort em' out. 😉
I like the shek lore a lot, it fits them and the japanese inspired setting very well that they follow an very extreme version of the bushido Code wich also is intendet to lead to a live of responsibility and strength of character but becomes "if you like living, you a pussy" very fast if you twist just a little and from listening to lore videos and the game, conversatios etc that seams exactly what he was going for, also i just think its more sensible that the final stand was misunderstood by shek, possibly from the start but shurly over time it got twisted.
Perhaps due to resource scarcity. It's probable that most naturally available nitrogen was used up in ancient wars, with such sparse wildlife no meaningful quantities replenish it, and even if you had fertilizer you'd probably much rather use it to actually fertilize crops in such a barren wasteland where food is so sought after. Surely the means to sythnethize it were also lost to time, so that means no gunpowder even if they had the metallurgy and invention to make guns.
And then you have the Hivers. On their own, pretty big faction, but weirdly enough so irrelevant that they aren't a Major Faction. It's so ironic. They fit so perfectly unto Kenshi that it seems impossible for them to be a natural evolution. I'm certain that they must have been created.

I always side with Seta in almost all playthrough. In all of the leaders in Kenshi she is probably the most sane and upright one.
