I appreciate that this movie made the "mean girls" of high school more complex instead of always the 1-dimensional villain.
I disagree, watch the movie Heathers.
I agree however I don’t think Cher was ever actually a mean girl considering most of her classmates acted the same way. She also was never really mean to people mostly just shallow which could come off as mean at times. She pretty nice to most of her classmates just judgmental.
I’d change “mean girls” to “popular girls” because Cher wasn’t mean like that.
I guess, but the point of the movie is that Cher isn’t mean or dumb she is just clueless, but I see your point.

I remember seeing Clueless in the theatre. I had it on VHS when I was a teenager and watched it pretty much every day

My big sister was the youngest in her freindship group. Sometimes I'd get to tag along with them, as a result I saw this in primary school and ended up thinking that this movie was what high school would be like.
I watched it this week on Netflix remembering that I liked it but almost nothing else. As a grown up, I love its optimism.
Despite the fact at 0:58, the cameras that were used during filming were MovieCam Cameras, Panavision is listed in the credits.
