Tadej Pogačar is arguably the most dominant cyclist on the planet right now, and we haven’t seen anyone like him in quite some time. He’s a rider who takes risks, entertains people and gets them glued to their screens whenever there’s a race lucky enough to be on his schedule. But the truth is that his domination has come to a point where many have started calling him boring, and stopped watching cycling simply because there’s no competition for the Slovenian. He’s winning pretty much any race he desires and, most of the time, truly can’t be stopped.
And, before we begin, we’ve recently made a video about Pogačar’s boring domination, but it ended up being severely misunderstood, so here’s why Tadej Pogačar’s Giro domination wasn’t boring at all, and is actually great for the sport.

Boring? Absolutely not! Was an incredible display of talent, excitement and charm. Tadej is such a tailwind for the sport, anyone saying it’s boring should feel free to watch replays of prior races if they like. Boring? That’s ridiculous.
He is the only reason I tuned in to Giro this year. Any other rider would have just followed after they got 2 min on GC. With him you know he will do something in every stage if he can. It would have been a last km staring contest without him.
My opinion, for what its worth is that, Tadej attracts people to watch cycling that wouldn't otherwise watch it. Yes he dominated the Giro but I, and several others like me, were glued to their television to watch him every night to see him win. I think people like winners and this guy is the consummate winner. The Tour is going to be very exciting this year.
I totally agree with you when it comes to him winning stages. Cycling is a dangerous sport, and one accident can change the trajectory of your entire season or career. So when you have the opportunity to win, you win!
I completely agree with everything you said! I really enjoyed watching the Giro and Pog's domination of the event. He deserves to be mention with athletes like Muhamed Ali, Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzyky and Leonel Messi. Simply great.

defiantly not boring, I loved every minute of the Giro and the truth is he is paid to win, and if any other pro was capable of the same effort then they would do the same....
There are two schools of thought: either he is so great and dominant that it becomes boring to watch, or Pogacar hasn't won every single pro tour seven times in a row yet. But nobody mentions how goddamn good Pogacar is as a dancer.
His dancing is 100% clean.
It was the best Giro that I've watched ! For sure. I wahave watched and I do watch recently the races on Eurosports like in these days Tour de Swiss and the Slovenia tour . These are cycling but are not so entertaining when Pogacar is in . Yes he's unpredictable rider , yes he's a very gifted rider and yes he's humble and a very nice person . He , Pogacar, is the one that made me a fan of cycling. I also like Van Der Poel or Van Aert , very very powerfull and gifted riders but still , Poggy's an One Man Show ! He is ridding like no one else with punch and strength and anyone can see how is ridding . You can feel the power of his attacks just looking how the bike is going forward. Remember Sur le Planche de belles files when he outclassed Vingegaard on 21% slope !He was like he was ridding a horse ! Vingegaard beat him first with the help of all his team and the second time beats him because his injurie at his wrist and couldn't train like it suppose to . I think that now is the time to see how good he is Tadej in Tour de France . God help us ! Remco struggling with slopes , Roglic struggling with low rated competitors.... I mean , these two guys won La Vuelta !?! Sepp Kuss ... no comment , ex champion in Vulelta last year !?! What is wrong in this picture ? I am the only one that can see these facts ? If Yates and Almeida will perform like they did today in tour of switzerland ... Well ...
great video as always, but claiming that people "stopped watching because his dominance is boring" is just bs :D his style of riding is literally the most entertaining we've had in years... which is what you mention later in the video ^^
The recent Giro is hardly boring if you want to compare it to last year edition. There was total lack of firework in last year edition. GC didn't attack much. Only 2 stages made it bearable: 1. Roglic cracked on one mountain stage and Kuss helped to mitigate the time loss 2. Final time trial.
Compare tò 2023 giro isnt fair. A chess much would be far more intresting

@@sebastiannygaard366 personally o dont care Who win buy of the race Is entrateining. Last year the montain stages there were 0 proper Attack. This year we had Attack even in flat stage like in 3 and 5 stage.
You know what’s boring? Watching riders like Geriart Thomas who ride wheels until the very last second. Some say it’s smart tactics I watch it and just think weak & unable. Pogi is fabulous & great for cycling, super strong and entertaining, I love watching him and Wout!

TLDR it wasn't boring because he kept attacking even though he won GC early on, and he has a fun personality.
it's time to increase the gap between the Giro and the Tour so that more top opponents can take part with the opportunity to recover between the two tournaments

He's not boring, but the races can be if he has no competition. In those races, I focus on the 2nd and 3rd places.
If you dont count tadej attacks the other GC were conpletly invisible no attack no risk 0 tattic. Fortunatly there was tadej or else we would have witness another giro like 2023 where people Attack at 200 m tò go in montain stages almeida almost winning and break fest with half the win because the group doesnt care at all of a giro stage
If giro is a competition that happens to take place on bikes, then it may have been boring. If giro is a biking fest, a show of skills, stamina, racing craft and courage, the it was absolutely fantastic.

The Giro couldn't be more boring. It is not Tadej Pogacar's fault because no one challenged him. I only saw 3-4 stages and then I didn't care anymore. If Joans Vingegaard does not get ready for the Tour de France, Tadej Pogacer has already won the race.

The extreme top domination was for having pink for 20 stages. If it wasn't for that Nervaiz, he would had had it for the entire 21 stages. Fans want to sit on the edge and debate most of the tour. He was indeed incredible and surely was like a training tour for him😊

I really like Pogacar, I wanted him to win the giro and will be rooting for him to win the tour as well. Having said this, the giro was so boring for me that I completely lost interest and didn't even tune in for the majority of the final week

The giro was boring. It’s not Tadej fault. It is the other team’s fault that the giro was boring. There was nobody to compete with him. Tour de France was so great with Tadej because he had someone to challenge him. That is exciting!

Yeah. It was boring. I am sorry. I have watched boring froome races. Now this is different boring, but still boring. Watching a pro cyclist go up against amateurs might be exciting, but still boring. It is just excitement for excitement. Not excitement because of change.
