A massive THANK YOU to the HeroQuest community for helping me grow my channel! Please subscribe for more HeroQuest content. Let's band together and beat Zargon and his chaotic minions of dread.

Thanks for incorporating my feedback! This is much clearer. One final note of clarification however, the elemental styles do not refresh unless the Monk starts his turn with no enemies in sight. So if you work up to and then use Fire but there are still enemies in the room, the Monk can no longer use elemental styles unless he runs away and is able to start his turn with no enemies in sight.
In my experience it's super rare to have the Monk work his way up to Fire at all (particularly if the party stays together), let alone get to fire and STILL have enemies left over, however if you have a party member that loves to open new doors, or if someone draws a wandering monster before the Monk gets to go, you can get stuck with no elemental styles for a couple turns. Ultimately, this is a nice balance thing because the Monk versus 1 Body Point enemies is pretty over powered.
Oh, it might be worth noting that for the Eye of the Storm attack, the monk only rolls 1 time (2 combat dice), but each enemy blocks the outcome individually per usual. So if the Monk rolls two white shields, he missed all the enemies. I initially played that he rolled 1 time for each enemy but this was later confirmed to be incorrect. That being said, it's amazing when you can run into a room and roll double skulls against 4 goblins and just clear the room. I love the Monk! :)

Yes, I was playing Eye of Storm as a one dice roll and an individual defense for each monster. I could have demonstrated that better. Thanks for help with the Monk. It's a cool hero class.

Got this the other day. I already have the Rogue Heir. I hope they do many more.

The Monk is my favorite of the new heroes created by Avalon Hill (and their guest writers). I also like the Bard (as a Pirate or Cleric), then the Rogue, then the Knight (a good character, if a little boring to actually play... but some like boring... that's why the Barbarian is still so great!).

My new hero order would be as follows...
      Knight (I love the simplicity)
      Rogue
      Monk
      Bard

    spell/skill/element - rotation:
    - place the monk in the second spot of the turn order. so he is not the first to open a door.
    - play twisting torrent the turn before the next door gets opened up.
    - as the heroes are facing monsters now, twisting torrent stays active, the monk can activate either strength of the mountain if there is a heavy monster in the room or do eye of the storm first if he faces multiple smaller monsters
    - step three, play the element earth or wind you haven´t played in the previous turn.
    - finally activate your fire-element
    - usually the romm is cleared by now.

@@jeanlucgatoh I love this turn order! Great way to clear a room.

Not a big fan off the Monks I have them and Rogue one, I like the Rogue over the Monks I know they have Guardian Knights but you can get them in Rise of Dread Moon. I'm just waiting to see what next expansion coming besides new core set. I play with Knight then the others well balanced in my opinion.

If you like the knight, stay tuned for my next video. I'll cover a really cool Homebrew character, the Champion Elf, that operates in a similar fashion of knight skills. Thanks for watching!
