When I was a young man, 15 years old I worked at a factory like this in the US. We had machines to do most of the work too but at a much faster production rate. The square went through the dial machine which made the wood round , the it rounded the end of the handle, threaded it and then it went through the sanding machine. We could produce 60 handles a minute depending on the type of handle we were producing. It was very hard and hot work/
