He should have left her the FIRST time she hit him; the other sad part is that her dad was ill, and her mother was hitting him. So sad. People who are violent need to walk around with a big red flag on their forehead.
Yes one red flag for Tim should have been witnessing Carol's mother physically abuse her father and Carol's reaction to that abuse. Very sad Tim probably had a long life ahead of him

Great acting and directing. Very sad and tragic that a young mans life was taken by an evil act of callous intentional murder and the killer did not get life for committing this crime. No justice at all.
Like mother like daughter. Good movie. The mother should go to jail too. The boy was still alive but she told the father and his son not to call the police or the Ambulance. sad she should be behind bar and throw away the key..
I seen this several years ago and still remember it and talk about it to others. Many people are surprised by the fact that a woman was abusing a young man and not vis versa. I highly recommend this movie to anyone. My favorite actress patty Duke.
