The Landcruiser Prado is seen by many as a soft off-roader, but with some decent bar work and a suspension upgrade they can be really capable trucks. When this customer came in to see us at The Bush Company we discussed their needs and what the vehicle is used for and we selected the Outback Armour Expedition Heavy Duty for the rear and the standard Expedition struts for the front. The end result was a good 50mm all round lift, and with the quality of the Outback Armour equipment there will be no sag, plus a 3 year unlimited kilometer warranty to back it up.
On my Prado 2020 GLX i have the outback armour suspension with 2inch lift fitted by Opposite lock . .My Prado rides that hard a match stick on the road feels like speed hump and off road is hard work keeping the vehicle on the track. On freeway the bull bar shaking and feeling every bump at 100kmh .dont.wast your money on outback amour suspension
Replacing all the suspension next with Dobinson ims 2in lift kit
I also have this installed on a 2018 GXL .. rides so rough I can feel the slightest change in the road the factory suspension is 100 times better now looking at installing a Dobinson kit or fox personally I would never purchase this product again and would rate it at 0 stars if I could. Not to mention after 2 months on the blacktop the rear shock absorbers failed.
Im interested in this suspension and was wondering how much longer the outback armour strut is compared to oem.
I wish i could find an answer to this. I rang OA and they say they wont publish the open lengths.
Hi Guys! Is there a left and right front strut? or does it not matter which side they go?
