Can you use this to crank your amp and play at bedroom levels? Also do you need an interface to do that it can you go straight from torpedo to monitor speakers? Thanks
hi buddy, do you think it is possible to have 2 of the torpedo with one head ? in order, when recording, to have differents mics and cabs ? thank you :))
bro try nos v3o.that cab sim is awesome!anyway have u tried using di box with torpedo?it only has line level out so i was thinking if a di box could make it sound even better.
Ray Bantawa hey man, The torpedo produces a line level signal, which makes a DI box Necessary! I will definitely check out those cabs! Thanks for the suggestion!
Hello thank you for your video, I have also a Mark V 25, and I am a bit disappointed with Cab Clone D.I. versus a real cabinet. Therefore I wonder if Torpedo brings something versus the cab clone integrated in the Mark V 25 ? Honestly on your vid, I would say the torpedo is pretty closed from what I get out of my Cab Clone..
I do think the CAB Clone on the Mesa is Quite good compared to their standalone cab clone; however, the torpedo stands it up by far. In a studio uncompressed setting the differences are much more obvious than they are on youtube! If you would like i can do a comparison between the built in cab clone, torpedo, and real mix and cab!
Thank you for your answer, I appreciate ! It is true that I may need to spend more time on the built-in cab clone, just to try to get use of it (and without playing on my Mesa cabinet for a while..). If you have time to do a comparison between the torpedo and the built-in cab clone and the real cabinet, I will appreciate :-) Thank you. Note, to record the real cabinet I use a shure SM57, through Scarlett 2i4 and logic pro. When using the built-in cab clone I plug it in the scarlett. Maybe the scarlett is not the best, and using a torpedo will not improve if plugged in the scarlett too ?
Nice review!
can the USB driver send audio?
shatteredsquare The USB cannot send audio, you have to own an audio interface of some sort to record with this device
Def gonna look into purchasing, great review!

Homercon Thanks, I bought one yesterday, it’s great 👍🏻
I can get some great tones at bedroom volume. I love it!!!
Can I run this with my line 6 spider 1? It sounds amazing on the extreme setting scooped but I want to step it up a little bit. Thanks!
when you crank the volume knob on the power amp sim, will it push into tube distortion like a power section would?
shatteredsquare Of course! The simulated tubes respond realistically to a real tube amp, of course the preamp you use determines how great it sounds!
sweet thanks. I'm planning on using this with a rectifier recording preamp and a boss GX-700 for a 4 space traveling rig that actually sounds good.
A great demo indeed. Did you use any post effect s or EQ?
Hamad Al Mutawa Nope! Just raw audio!
How many mics can you set up at the same time? Can you have a close mic and an ambiant mic set up together?

thank you buddy !
Great demo Gabe. Why the torpedo live and not the studio version? I am trying to decide which is the most cost effective for myself.

*unnecessary, sorry for the typo
may be you are right but torpedo studio has di output and i was wondering if it has anything to do with better sound quality.
A Direct out and a DI Output are the same thing, that is what the torpedo live and studio have. Sorry for the confusion.
What audio interface did you connect to with this?
I used a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20!

I use a Scarlett 18i20 with mine, and i get fantastic results! It has the same preamps as the 2i4
thought you said you were gay. Had to rewind it.
Not cheap
Peter Batah I bought one used for 750. It’s still pricey but I am beyond satisfied.
