There was a Christian brother who partnered with a non-believer to run a company. In short, the non-believer subsequently cheated the company and ran off with the funds. The Christian brother had to file for bankruptcy and also to sell off his company. Unequally yoked not only applies to marriage partner but also in business.

One of my best friends I’ve had for 21 years was raised in a Wiccan household and now is more spiritual than anything else. She and I share very different views on everything from religion to politics but she’s the most genuine, honest, and good person you could ever meet. She knows how strongly I feel about my faith and has never told me I was wrong or pushed me to do ungodly things.
I think a lot of what Paul wrote was pertaining to certain situations and not meant to be universal doctrine.

People forget or choose to accept that God.....The Holy Spirit wrote the Bible. Not man. It's not Paul's opinion just for that period in History. God who is beyond time wrote the Bible. The Bible's truth is eternal because God and His Word are eternal. People who claim man wrote the Bible say that because they don't want to obey God. They in reality are following their own God. Themselves.

@@jenniferhall4880 That’s cool you believe that. I personally disagree, especially since it never explicitly says that scripture is, in fact, the word of God. Is it inspired by the Holy Spirit? Sure. But saying God Himself wrote it is a wee bit blasphemous to be honest. I mean, it’s been proven that certain stories were added in by scribes and never even actually happened.

The context is not specific to marriage, yet for a long time, it has been the only topic I have heard the passage preached about. Non-profits should also be careful about what they co-sponsor with other non-profits.

Light and darkness can't have any relationship. We need to remember that we are called to come out and be separate from the world. Friendships allow people to minister to us and any such connection is damaging to us.
We can't marry, do business or mix with the unrepentant in close relationships. This would lead us to lose the blessing of Psalm 1:1 too-we'd end up seeking the counsel of the ungodly as we unload our burdens to the 'friends' that serve their father, the devil.
Praise the Lord for His precise and perfect instructions that we alone may receive through the work of His Holy Spirit, when we exercise faith that He gives us!

Bro I'm sorry but you cannot evangelise to people unless you prove genuine love to them. You can do that through friendship. I was saved partially because I saw the fruit of a newly converted friend of mine. My other friend was saved partially because he was surrounded by Christians and wanted to know God after years of being witnessed to by them.
If you struggle with a certain sin, e.g. drinking to excess, and you being around certain people affects you being clean and untempted by that sin, I would certainly advise surrounding yourselves with Godly people or people who don't really drink.
Christian friends and fellowship with mature believers every week in a social, worship and church setting is also essential

      This should answer that question:
1 Corinthians 7:10-16: 10 Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord: A wife is not to depart from her husband.
11 But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife.
12 But to the rest I, not the Lord, say: If any brother has a wife who does not believe, and she is willing to live with him, let him not divorce her.
13 And a woman who has a husband who does not believe, if he is willing to live with her, let her not divorce him.
14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.
15 But if the unbeliever departs, let him depart; a brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases. But God has called us to peace.
16 For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?

@@thiebaudsmiff5572 There's a difference between being yoked and having acquaintances. We must not be close to the unrepentant because what business does light and dark have in common?
We must minister to the ungodly but not be so close that they end up ministering to us. Jesus spent time with sinners but they were not called his friends because they either followed him or were left behind.
