I've owned the A180 CDI (AMG sport package) for about 10 months now and I have to say I'm more than happy with it! It's great to drive, super efficient and just a beauty to look at. It's my first car and all I have to say is I'm in love with it! Congratulations Mercedes for giving us such a beautiful and efficient car, and I'm looking forward to owning a proper AMG in the future! :-)
+Ottavianus Augustus You, and your privacy settings. As far as I could tell the car was great to drive. And the test route was along some some twisty country roads. I think it was better, than I remember the pre-facelift A Class.
Some time ago, I was at a Mercedes Benz dealership, wanted to see and sit in the GLA and A class. I didn't want to bother with the price, I just went to see how does it feel to sit and drive those cars. Ok, first I entered the GLA 180d (109 hp Renault engine). It was an okay car to sit in, but everything I touched seemed too fiddly and cheap at first glance. I thought, ok, maybe it's the cheaper or the cheapest trim level, with the quality level which I have in my Peugeot 2008. The point is, I didn't feel upmarket at all in comparison with my 2008. And for a pricetag of nearly 39,000€ with Bi-Xenon headlights, dual exhausts and all that crap, I find it extremely expensive, and I think that you are paying for the badge only. Don't get me wrong, I like the look of the A class and the GLA respectively, but I think that they are lacking the Audi quality,as far as the interior goes. This is my honest opinion and I don't think that everyone will agree with me. Frankly,I don't care....
+Marek Drives As I said, that's my opinion. I'm not questioning the noise and the sound isolation, it is a B segment crossover in the one hand, and a C segment premium crossover on the other, which has better sound isolation and noise supression than any other Peugeot... But I'm just saying that I personally didn't feel that big of a step in quality, which is suggested by the given price tag. I know that the present Q3 looks dated on the inside, but I think that the quality is a tad bit better than on the GLA (my dad owns a Q3).
Hi Marek, It seems that the update of your videos is getting stuck again. I am still having the MB A Class as the newest one. Do you know if it is something related with the internet explorer used?Thank you very much for your work!
Hey Marek, great review! How would you compare it to the Audi A3 and BMW 1 series? It seems to me that both cars have better built interiors. Do you find the infotainment system in the Merc complicated to use or have they improved it?
+Adam Kovacevic The A-Class still has the older interface (i.e. just a knob without touchpad). As far as usability goes, I get used to it after a while, but if I had to buy my car based on infotainment interface, I would go for BMW. To me it's just the most logical system out there, bearing in mind the amount of functions. A cheaper alternative would be VW (VW brand, not the entire group). As far as refinement, I think A3 is the leader here, with 1 Series in close second place. Audi's suspension is unbelievably good at absorbing road imperfections.
+Nathan Langfield Depends what you need, doesn't it? I'd probably go for CLA250 (engine and looks). If they could make me a green one, like the A Class on the picture, I'd be a happy man. I'm torn between a manual (which is great), and G-Tronic (which has improved, and is more comfortable in everyday use).
We do own the pre-facelift in the family and i'm not much impressed by it! It is too expensive, much road noise and a few bad material choices in the interior. Anyway i like the amg pack facelift, still it is an overpriced car!

+Marek Drives damn it ... it thought i fixed it !
Again... great work!! Fun great compared with information. Keep up the good work!!
In the front wheel drive models, Mercedes actually use a 7G-DCT dual clutch transmission, not the 7G-Tronic (torque converter).

+Juraj KG (candyman3108) I wouldn't go as far as comparing it to 2008, but with that price tag you could ask for more.

+Jorge M. The updates are fine. However I haven't updated the reviews playlist in a while. I've just added four videos.

Fajnie poprawiony model.Poważnie zastanawiam się nad A 250 Sport 4MATIC.
In our country, Turkey, A Class is sold over 7000 Euros expensive than VW Passat
Hi, which a class would you suggest to buy?

at what point did the a class have a face lift?
2 years ago (give or take).
It would be even more cool if you showed us some drifts with AMG :)
Can traction control be turned off completely in AMG?
+MAcka U cizmama On under Mercedes supervision. I'm not Chris Harris to get special treatment.
