Little tip if you are new to the world of electric guitars and driven amps.
Les Paul's (and many guitars with humbuckers in general) can have hot pickups that push a strong signal into the amplifier which can clip the preamp stage and create a compressed distortion that sounds more muddy than nice. It's especially notable on cleaner or low gain crunch amps and using things live overdrive pedals, compressors, fuzz or boosts and things like that. No amount of faffing with the amp settings will fix a clipping input, as you are just messing with a distorted signal in the first place. It will always sound "cramped" as you put it.
If you roll back the volume to 6-7ish, give or take based on your guitar, you'll get back that clarity, dynamic range and general vibrancy. You might roll it up to 10 when you want that compression to make your lead/solo stand out over the mix. But always fiddle with the volume pot on any new setup to see how it reacts and where the sweet spots are. A good setup might have a clean, crunch and lead tone all accessible from just the guitar volume.

Thanks Naycnay, That is a really important thing for me to keep in mind. I should have tried a lower volume. I was using the Rythm switch setting and had the job set to around 7. But I will try it on a lower setting with those over driven set ups.

Why do I have to restart my iPhone? Every time I wanna pair the Spark mini to work. Do you know what I’m doing wrong? Great video.

Hi Dr. Steven. I have not experienced that problem. It may be worth contacting Positive Grid they have a pretty good help line

@@MikeMesseswithMusic I fixed it. You have to close the app in the background and then restart the app. Easy Peezy.

Hi Markey, I am not familiar with the Ukulele patch, would I use that with my Outdoor Ukulele?
