Outstanding, been banging on for as long as I can remember about Dave going for a fitting . So good to see him gaining distance from a shaft that actually helps him , can’t wait to see the final result ⛳️🙌🏻👍🏻
Quality fitting good video. More slower swing golfers should try graphite or light weight steel shafts. Mizuno offer a good range of shafts and grips for no additional cost plus up charge options. For 70mph swing speed the JPX923 HL irons with a graphite shaft can produce some functional performing irons with great landing angles. 7-GW is as much as many of us need then get into hybrids and woods to make it easier and save cost by not buying irons you can’t use effectively. 👍
I Love these video’s and you can hear Dave’s excitement. Just worry there is no mention of cost...... An interesting takeaway is that the T150 head performs very similar to Dave’s Takomo 101T - well done Takomo! Can’t wait for Episode 3.
Great video Chris/Dave. I've recently gone through a full bag fitting and was cream crackered by the end of it. Getting the shaft right took the most time and a drop of 15g in shaft weight has made a huge difference. I'm no golf coach and correct me if I'm wrong, but the ball position for the 8 iron looked a little forward in Daves stance. I found to my own costs that ball position tends to encourage hits to the left. I was instructed to move the ball back to the centre for 7i to wedges and now hitting them much straighter.
I switched to graphite shafts 3 years ago. I am not a senior golfer but I needed graphite's ability to absorb impact shock. I was struggling with elbow and hand pain after rounds. I play of 6.8 and I think they are wonderful. The only thing I noticed was a higher launch then with my steel version.
A really interesting watch. I bet you were knackered after that Dave. I’m looking forward to seeing what differences it makes to your game on the course.
I would like to see him try the Project X VRTX Black 60 Graphite shafts. Those are the shafts I putting on my Callaway A.I. Smoke HL Irons. I was amazed at how great they felt for my swing.
Where is this place located? Im from Denmark but seriusly a fitting like this would be great for me... I still play a second hand blade set I bought when i startet playing in 22
@@daveharrison1160 Absolutely brilliant never experienced a fitting like that before, tried so many different heads shafts, grips, swing weights, came out a happy man 👍

Great in-site to proper club fitting.
I'm lucky enough to be visiting sggt tomorrow to look at replacing my 2016 srixon z785 irons.
Well done Dave, i would have been shattered by the end of that fitting. Ye moved into graphite myself.

Well done Dave good video 😊
Just shows what a knowledgeable fitter can do as some just put you in the one that goes the longest.
Nice seeing Daves finish getting more natural & keeping the height towards target. Must be working hard at it, good man Dave 👍
Thanks
OMG that fitter was awesome! I wish I could have got that great of a fitting when I got my irons. Where can I get that here in the US? ❤❤❤❤

Needed a sit down that’s for sure

Chesterfield near Sheffield England
Does graphite need puring ? I have just had a fitting and went for a very light shaft. I wasn’t treated to anything boutique though 😮
Unbelievable Chris Dave the star of the channel is left at home in the wind and rain while you’re sunning yourself in the Canaries shocking 😳, 😂
I know, ridiculous.
what was the final shaft ?
So ultimately, are we gonna get a What’s in The Bag? with Dave?
I think we will at some point. But I’m hoping to go back at some point to discuss wood and driver fittings/shafts etc
Just on my way for a fitting with them now 🏌🏻♂️
I’m sure you’ll enjoy 👍🏻
How did it go?

@@shaunkelley55 really glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. What did you come away with?
@@daveharrison1160 came away with the Mizuno ST Max 230 shortened 6s shaft to 45”👍
