Dusty. I thank GOD for people like yourself who are diligently applying themselves to try to better understand the Scriptures. 2 Timothy 2:15 speaks of the need of "handling accurately the word of truth". My heart has been burdened for over three decades over the overwhelming and deep lack of knowledge of GOD'S Holy Word by the vast majority of professing Christians. GOD has chosen HIS Bible as the primary means of communicating with HIS children. So many who profess the name of CHRIST are making their way through life unnecessarily feeling depressed, defeated and discouraged. This is mostly because they neglect diligently studying GOD'S life giving Word. Just reading and believing and claiming the precious and refreshing truths found in Psalm 19 and Psalm 119 can and will bring such great joy and great peace even in the midst of and in spite of the hardships that we can and will face in life. Psalm 119:11 speaks of our need to "hide GOD'S Word in our heart to keep us from sinning against GOD". The greatest way to accomplish this "hiding" is through studying the Bible. Psalm 19 describes many of GOD'S blessings that we will receive as we diligently "hide HIS Word in our hearts". in verse 7, it will " restore and refresh our souls. Verse 8 promises that it will give us joy. But according to verse 10, we must place a greater desire and hold a greater passion for the Bible than for the things of this world because GOD'S Word is more precious than even much fine gold which will serve as pavement under our feet in heaven Revelation 21:21. My pray is that more professing Christians would become more like the "Berean brethren". Acts 17:11 describes them in this manner. "Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the Word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so." Dusty, thanks for all that you do to enlighten others on GOD'S precious Word. May our Father bless us with many more Berean students with a deep passion for studying and applying HIS Word. Have a blessed day.

If the pastor goes to seminary and comes out with an M Div, then he is fully capable of teaching this doctrine to his congregation. And, thus he must teach doctrines to his congregation. So, why do we have someone in here teaching doctrine?

The Lamp Christian Ministry I think the term is regeneration is used in the book of Titus from the kjv. Modern translations used the phrase "born again" interchangeable with it. Regeneration is a scientific term to describing the Reformation of new tissue. When we are saved we become a new creation. The new has come and the old has gone but we still struggle with our old nature.

I keep hearing from many Christians that we can't help but to sin, in hearing that it opens the door to sin, whereas in what you are saying, it opens a door that I don't have to. Are we as new creatures dead to sin or not? Are we alive to righteousness or not?
Does grace abound or not? Are we now God's workmanship or not? Should we continue in sin that grace may abound.

You ask a lot of great questions. 😊
in this video, I did not cover a lot of what you are asking for a couple of reasons: 1) I have a sessions dedicated to harmatiology and biblical anthropology which covers sin and the nature of mankind in more detail. And 2) I specifically wanted to present a consice, introductory to the doctrine of regeneration. This teaching is not to be viewed as a comprehensive discussion on the topic.
I appreciate your questions. (Albeit, it sounds like you are already decided on the answers to those questions.) 🙂
If you would like, I will happily recommend some theological resources if it would benefit your understanding of these topics. Let me know, and I will reply with a couple of really good study aids from some credible theologians.

Sin is still active in our members. The spirit is in seed form and needs to unfold into our personal life which take time which we call sanctification or transformation. The first thing to be transformed is the spirit in our minds🤔

According to Scriptures, NO one in all of history has ever just woke up one day and decided of their own accord that they are going to find GOD and be saved. The Bible is very clear on this matter. Ephesians 2:1 and Ephesians 2:4 and Colossians 2:13 and 1 John 3:14 declares the fact that before anyone is "born again" John 3:3 they are spiritually dead to the things of GOD. In the same manner that a physically death person can do absolutely nothing to change their position of being dead, a person that is spiritually dead can do absolutely nothing to initiate their being "born again" or being spiritually "regenerated" Titus 3:5. The Bible absolutely declares that only GOD by HIS grace and mercy and calling can initiate the process in which anyone is "born again". JESUS himself declares this fact in John 6:44 as HE asserts that "No one can come to ME, unless the FATHER who sent ME draws him". The word "can," speaks to one's ability to do anything. So CHRIST is declaring that it is absolutely impossible for anyone to come to HIM to be saved-born again-regenerated unless the FATHER initiates the process. Isaiah 64:7 says this on the manner, "There is no one who calls on THY name, who arouses himself to take hold of THEE; for THOU has hidden THY face from us, And has delivered us into the power of our iniquities". The Apostle Paul affirms this fact in Romans 3:10-12, "There is none who understands, There is none who seeks for GOD:". Isaiah 65:1 also asserts this fact, "I permitted MYSELF to be sought by those who did not ask for ME; I permitted MYSELF to be found by those who did not seek ME". Mankind in it's prideful and feeble efforts to take some credit for being "saved" is trying to take some of the glory from GOD for being "born again". But everyone who is saved should proclaim 2Timothy 4:18 "The LORD will deliver me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to HIS heavenly kingdom; to HIM be the glory forever and ever. Amen" as they give our heavenly FATHER all the credit and all the glory for saving our wretched souls. As they loudly and with great joy sing that ole song "to GOD be the glory great things HE hath done.

Regeneration is a soteriological term. This means that regeneration is another means of describing one's salvation. Everytime someone places their faith in Jesus Christ, they are saved - regenerated.
Regeneration describes the new beginnings - or rebirth - the believer experiences once they place their faith in Jesus Christ.
If you have been saved, you have been regenerated; you have been born again to a life in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.
I pray this clears things up.

Slow down. It appears from 1 John 5:1 that believing is evidence of having been born of God!

      @@SugoiEnglish1 good observation. 🌞
In 1 John 5:1, belief - in Jesus - is the entrance to salvation and begets our regeneration. This verse shows us that love is the evidence of our regeneration.

It's our faith based on the sacrifice our Lord made at Calvary and our total reliance on Him to save us that makes salvation possible. To recieve salvation we must exercise our free will and obey the gospel plan of salvation to access the born again experience . The word " recieve", in the original Greek means " to take hold of. Faith alone can't accomplish this. It is our faith in action that takes hold of salvation.
The Word " regeneration" in the Greek means to restore something to its original state. When we obey the gospel plan we first repent and are water baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Remission is the removal of something so that it can be returned to what it originally was. During water baptism the Holy Spirit circumcises our conscience, removing the guilt from past sins, and restoring it to its original childlike sensitivity to sin.
We then have our spirit renewed as a result of the Holy Spirit baptism which is how the Holy Spirit is recieved.
After repentance and water baptism we must then pray fervently for the Holy Spirit infilling until the Lord answers our prayer and fills us. Then we must surrender our tongue , which the Word says is our body's" most unruly member that no man can tame,". (James 3:8 ). Man can't but God can. We continue to yield our tongue until the Holy Spirit takes control of it (" tames" it ) and enables us to speak in the spiritual language that our English translation calls " tongues".
Once this occurs it triggers the fillings overflow, which is what the Spirit baptism is, while at the same time the Holy Spirit joins with our spirit becoming one. Now the believer has become a new creature in Christ.
