Btw double-check all your expensive cards. Having 2 random counterfeits are a red flag. Owning goyfs with no sleeves or protection is odd as well The city of brass is too glossy. Just be careful mate.

City of Brass is a proxy. I have a similar one from an online seller. I wrote “PROXY” in permanent ink across the back in case it ever gets out of my hands like this. Having convincing proxies is great IMO because when you play old school formats it keeps everyone in the immersion. You have to responsible though and make sure that on the back of the card there some blatant indication that the card is not real for instance. That will be obscured by card sleeves anyway. I use solid black sleeves for this reason.

I do the same thing! Honestly, the main hate against proxies is that people from the corporate end want you to buy stuff. The actual issue is if kids are getting scammed, so just mark them as fake. I have an old school pre 2000s cube with the dual lands all proxies. Super fun to run with friends.

The Warrior's Oath is very likely fake as the left leg of the "M" in the TM on the back of the card is visible. A lot of the english P3K was from a printer that obscured the left leg of the letter, almost appearing as -- T VI , not to mention you'll want to take a jewelers loupe to the card to verify dots on all the big cards. If you don't have a loupe, and you're buying collections, I recommend the investment. A good one is around $10 - $15 USD on amazon.
As for the Recruiter, if the P3K has the visible trademark, it doesn't necessarily mean fake, but it should cause you look for other clues. As a side, that same printer for P3K was used to produce a few cards for 6th edition. Also, P3K is known to have a slightly higher gloss or plastic feel to the stock, but nothing like I was seeing on that Warrior's Oath.
Sorry for the fake, but good eye noticing the glossiness. You should have a buyer at a LGS you trust scrutinize the collection. BTW, don't hand the entire collection over all at once, give it to them in small parts. I've known some stores to close their doors and vanish with people's collections, and the pandemic may exacerbate this.

Great, looks like you are going to have to make sure all your rares aren't counterfeit. Pretty sure that 1st pk3 is fake, and that city is waaay too glossy, plus why wouldn't it be sleeved (considering what an og city from AN is worth)?

yea, it is very hard to be true; these 3 modern decks are probably getting close to the 2k-3k mark, and that's USD; it's hard to believe these are all real cards, I would just put them on the cardmarket (EU TCGplayer) to sell them individually I was the seller.

The only foil card kinda enforces the idea that this person knew how to print on foil cards.
The holomark (at the bottom) is one that is alot harder to replicate though so... check it as well..

Be careful saying foreign cards are worth less then their english versions. You may live in an area where that is an opinion.
