The sage advice, the masks, his leaving after three days (when the moon crashes down and presumably kills everything in the country of Termina)... he is meant to be life. What a game.
The more time passes the more I'm in acceptance that Majora's mask isn't a game. It's art. Everything about it. The music the imagery the storyline. It's something else. Truly.

Recently i've been going back to visit those chapters of my life and finishing them the way it should be. It's like im going back in my time to bring a better cause for my future, for my son
For some reason, everytime I feel sad, all I need is a few seconds of this song to heal all of it away. That heal feeling is indescribable, and crying to it for me is almost impossible unless if it's an extreme situation, which I have had only once so far and mostly forgot about it.
This is the game I have in a glass case to break in case i become truly broken by life, it restores me by remembering the simple times yet with dark themes looming over it. Majora's mask is the most depressing game of Zelda series, but BOTW2 promised that will be more depressing than Majora's. I'm very excited about it hehehe
Damn BOTW2 is going to be depressing? Majora mask is weird as it is because it was kind of a game/something of it’s time. It was also a game that almost didn’t get made. Just a weird late 90s/early 2000s fluke if you will…I don’t see BOTW2 being anything out of the ordinary in terms of today’s gaming standards. If that makes sense… Something like Majora’s mask is definitely something you wouldn’t see being made nowadays for a lot of reasons I don’t fully understand. Seems like original “weird” and “creepy” media seemed to be more of a pre 2010 thing for the most part. Think about it for a moment. It’s a interesting/strange observation that I’m probably poorly describing but I tried lol.

Thoroughly enjoyed. I feel like a much more minimalistic approach was taken on zeldawave 2. So far I am partial to the 1st one, but very grateful for both.
Wish I could go back to when I was first experiencing this game... Miss the feeling so much, no care in the world just had to find the courage to take on shadow temple... Lol

There was something so special and earnest about games like this that you just don't see any more. And I know a lot of that is my own childhood nostalgia, but I also know the beauty that came out of the limitations of those early days, when it was just about telling the best story you could with the tools available. Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Majora's Mask, none of them were *complicated* stories. They weren't trying to say anything philosophical, they just had a lot of heart and passion which came through in every aspect of their worlds and gameplay. Nobody was worrying then about whether games were art. They just made games, good games.
I know this sounds terrible but my heart is filled with alot of hatred, for some reason this song calms my soul. I guess that why it's called the song of healing. Thank you for these uploads
wanna hear about my weird story of how i got here? well 1. i discovered some vapor wave remixes but not many i liked. actually only 2. then i came back to listening to my fave game ever dkc2 music. and a few years ago i finally got my hands on MM, played it 15 years later after spending 100's of hours in OOT. and today youtube recommended me a vaporwave zelda remix. i had no hopes going into this as for the past 6 months i've constantly clicked on every vaporwave vid youtube recommended me and as mentioned early only found 2 in total that i liked. i'll be honest, this isnt a masterpiece in my eyes but i def. enjoy it! thats my little story of how i got here.
I love that Nintendo made this game with so much personal expression. I'm bummed that they were embarrassed that they made it so dark and try to make Zelda so light now 🥲
Would zeldawave 3 be wind waker? It's the next console game in the series and I love it to bits but I wonder if the music is almost too cheery to have it in this style. I would love to be wrong about that though
