I LOVE it!!!! You have inspired me. I saw someone use plastic wrap over it to pull the paint so you wouldn’t have to turn the drawer to make it run. I am going to try it. Thanks for the great video!!
Love what you did. When moving the paint around using a hair dryer or straw is faster. Did this to the top of my Bistro table using the course and effect of waves washing onto shallow water.
I also wanted thank you and your husband. Watching your channel gave me the confidence to try this? I did an old plant stand this week which turned out well. So I went to a local thrift store and found a beautiful French country style table and 4chairs for only 50 dollars... it currently has a dark stain on it I am just trying to choose a color. I plan to do this for my neice who just moved out on her own. Thank you so much, love your channel and you beautiful work.
Great idea to do only the drawer fronts that way it's not over kill. This is so perfect for a little girls or teen room. Love it. I did a vanity with bright pink and blue and it got a little wild so I ended up taming it down with white. I liked the brightness but I was afraid who ever bought it would soon get tired of the bright colors. It sold quickly so I think I made the right choice. Next time I'm gonna only do the drawer fronts like you. Much better look. Thanks for sharing. I love watching your videos.
This is an absolutely marvelous creative idea for that piece with the uneven gummed up texture from all of the previous paint put on it. The end result is beautiful and very suitable for the simple design, and the hardware really give a great sparkle. Love this idea on this style and condition of piece.
Love how this turned out. The mirror knobs and gold feet really add to the dresser. I add a little water to my paints before I start to pour, really helps... but never any more than 10% water or paint may crack.
I am not a teenage girl and I totally love it! It's making me re-think what I want to do with my own 3 piece dresser + night stands. I may go solid color for the night stands and paint pour for the dresser - in all blues or maybe add a touch of something light, like gray or cream? Hmmmmm choices, choices, choices! Do a paint pour in blues!! I think I will try a test board before I tackle a 9 drawer dresser.
Know this is an older video, but just viewed it. Wow! That is gorgeous. I'm pushing 50 - not a teenager, but love it anyway. Your videos have given me courage and inspiration. Thank you so much. Finding ways to paint inside 'cause it's cold in Michigan! Love using chalk paints.
Very pretty, but when you first started pouring those colors, it looked really awesome on top of the black. It came out very nice, love those colors together.
I think I'm going to do this to my daughters storage drawers on her twin bed. The bed is white with two side storage drawers and it's so plain looking I think this with colors that match her room would work really nicely
Literally Jamie u make it look so easy I tried today with blue tones and it was so so messy and I wanna cry its nothing close to how cute yours is you have some true skill
Love the technique on this furniture piece. Next time add some silicone in your paint and then torch it lightly to get the bubbles to come up. Another technique is to try Unicorn Spit (a dye gel paint) you can dilute this concentrated product from 1 to 10 (paint to water). Apply the same way using syringes (no needles) when done with adding color, spray with water and cover with plastic. Spray plastic with water and then start moving your hands blending the color as you go. When it's where you want it, lift the plastic from one end and remove, let dry (chalk like). Seal with an oil based clear coat (at least a couple of coats). I then paint on water based clear coat a couple more times. The color pops like when it was wet when the clear coat is added. You can also use epoxy as a table cover top.
@@JamiRayVintage or next time make a pouring medium to add to your paints using half helmets glue and half water then pour all of your paints into one cup in layers but don't mix them. Then pour them. The pouring medium helps a lot to make the paint move easier. And if you do use a torch to get the marbled look do it quickly over the paint and don't hold it on the paint long or it will scorch it.
All I’ve ever read is that you can’t paint a water based sealer on top of oil based, wondering what the reason is you do that, and have you had any trouble with the wear of it, since your post is two years old, 😊😊
This is really cute. Normally I have a real problem with people painting vintage furniture and I won’t buy anything that’s been painted... but if someone happens to give me a piece that’s been painted I would entertain the idea of doing this to it
Today I am going to try this. I put together a foyer table out of a discarded maple drop leaf (one side) and added beautiful, turned wooden legs that I purchased for on $15 at the Habitat Store! I plan to use shades of blue and grey.
At first didn’t think I liked this technique but after watching both of your videos I think it is pretty cool! Not actually my style but it is beautiful and the knobs and the legs are just the “ticket” (play on words)! It reminds me of spin art from when I was a kid (many moons ago) that we did at our county fair.
Paint pouring has been trending and so I started doing my own custom knobs with resin, my latest idea was geode knobs and they shine beautifully....LOVE the drawers! I'm loving the pinks with the golden ticket! Awesome job guys!
Bravo👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻 looks just beautiful! Love to see you trying new things...I used to watch UA-cam videos of paint pouring on canvas and was fascinated with it....I never thought of furniture...I just love it. I remember a paint medium used with paint to get it flowing call Floetrol (sp?) I remember buying some and still haven’t tried...I think you have inspired me to try! Thanks for sharing😊
Oh I think this turned out beautifully and I love the flowers in the vase on top.. just topped everything off.. I would love this for myself.. I’m so gonna try this and I can’t wait...the feet are so cute!!!❤️ Best wishes and continued success!!!
I have never seen paint pour before it looks beautiful my only comment would be I would have gone with silver legs to tie in with the knobs but it is really lovely.
SUBSCRIBED! ! ! When you first started that dresser i was so ready to hate it, now i cant wait to try this out as well. Love how it turned out, great color choices!
if you pick up your drips with either your finger or more preferably a palette knife putty knife or evena spoon (you don't want to muddy the colors, fingers tend to do that) and you dab the dripped paint, or scoop it and put in on the blank spots, then take the edge of ur tool or finger and tap it into the edge of the paint that won't flow... if you have that drip paint on there it actually put s weight on the edge of the paint you have poured and now that paint has something to pull it and to move over the top of.. i hope that makes sense. that way you don't have finger squishes in ur corners. either that or pour a color of paint to cover the edges first (or paint the edges) and then pour while still wet and that will help you get natural movement all over your piece.. you can also use a straw and blow the paint off over the edges (be gentle before you blast it. lol). and it will look great.
WOW, WOW - Will I ever , ever have enough courage to try and do this?? I had my doubts once you started off, but look at it now - marvelously done, Jami and Hubby!!
I like the combination of the pink swirly, white and mirrored handles. I don't like the gold legs. Maybe instead of gold legs, just a little gold in the swirly design across the bottom. Very pretty!
Wow so very cool can't wait to try!!!!! Thanks for sharing love the gold too! I would put blue tape before you start on the area you had to sand down to get the drawers to close. Saves a tiny bit of time. Love It!

Awesome! That’s such a great deal! She’ll love that!
Fun to look back at all the changes in both of you😊

Perfectly different, and pretty for a teenager’s room! Love the mirrored knobs...great eye!! ❤️❤️❤️
This dresser is stunning, Love the color choices. White frame really makes it pop!
Thank you!

That's not true..I'm an artist it's more than 50% and it really depends on if the paint I s a polymer or not.

Sounds good to me!
This is the first time I have ever seen a paint pour project I love. The golden ticket looks great. 💖
You must be young at heart! ❤️❤️
I think this turned out lovely. Very unique way of painting. Ty
The dresser is gorgeous!!!! 👍🏽💖
This is so cool! I wanna be a teenager again and have this in my room.
That pink paint pour is gorgeous!!! I love it!!!
Thanks!
😍 Looks like a kaleidoscope of pedals. Love it! Turned out amazing!
I’m. It a fan of pink and mirrored knobs but it’s very pretty for a more modern style. I will def try this pouring technique in older shades.
Look at you guys go! That looks absolutely AMAZING!!!
Get into a bind and this thing is a life saver
Very pretty, but when you first started pouring those colors, it looked really awesome on top of the black. It came out very nice, love those colors together.
Nice!! The flowers really tie it in.
I think I'm going to do this to my daughters storage drawers on her twin bed. The bed is white with two side storage drawers and it's so plain looking I think this with colors that match her room would work really nicely
That sounds amazing! Send pics. 😊
That's the paint pour I was looking for. So beautiful! 😍😍😍
Literally Jamie u make it look so easy I tried today with blue tones and it was so so messy and I wanna cry its nothing close to how cute yours is you have some true skill
Didn't think I would like it while you were working on it but turned out beautiful! Flowers match too!
❤️❤️
I said, is she crazy, slightly off balanced and i think yes. The pour painting came out wonderful, an artistic flare.
Ha! Thanks! 😂
Love this! A teenage girl's dream
Okay, so I’m absolutely doing this technique ASAP! I’ll post to the fb group when I have photos!

This is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!!
Thanks!
This dresser reminds me of a flower garden,so beautiful!😍❤😁
So sweet to say! ❤️
Wow it turned out BEAUTIFUL!
I have to admit this is pretty freaking sweet...
Love this pour technique. I want to do this on some drawers in our bathroom. The pink & gold would be epic .
Oooh. Fun bathroom! Send pics if you do it! ❤️
Wonderful dresser...fantastic choice of drawer knobs..enjoyed this video..thanks for sharing
The dresser came out awesome. Great job !!
Thank you!

Awesome tips! Thank you!
I seen that unicorn spit and it's really cool! Debi might try it too.

Wouldn't an oil base clear coat turn yellow?

Drag a string around to help move the colors in to tough spots, plus it can make awesome feathery designs! Love all your videos!!🤗🌹❤️
Great tip!

My favorite thing about this video is the great team work!
I love how it came out. A unique piece that will make a whole statement on its own.
Thanks!
Thank you, Zeb, for telling me why the paint I was sanding kept balling up and gumming up the sandpaper disc.
Today I am going to try this. I put together a foyer table out of a discarded maple drop leaf (one side) and added beautiful, turned wooden legs that I purchased for on $15 at the Habitat Store! I plan to use shades of blue and grey.
Awesome! I would love to see it.
Floetral or Elmer's glue all mixed with the paint will let it flow better. Make it the consistency of warm honey. It did turn out beautiful.
I love how it turned it out!! You guys are awesome!
Thank you!
Looks gorgeous and so fun to do! Can't wait to try pouring technique on furniture pieces now!! Thanks!

That would look amazing in blue!
We did a blue one. It looks like the ocean!
ua-cam.com/video/gKSSVSDxi54/v-deo.html
Like to see you using a mask when sanding. Really looks great.
This turned out nice. I wasn’t too sure how it would look until you started sanding the poured paint.
Thanks! It was an experiment for sure. 😊
Paint pouring has been trending and so I started doing my own custom knobs with resin, my latest idea was geode knobs and they shine beautifully....LOVE the drawers! I'm loving the pinks with the golden ticket! Awesome job guys!
Your knobs sound fantastic!
So beautiful!! I love that your peonies matched perfectly with the pinks in the drawers. 💓
Me too! When I got done I was thinking how on earth am I going to stage it and then I saw those on the table and snagged them.
This dresser looks amazing! And is so fun- I bet it sells super fast! 👍
Hoping it sells quick so I can do another one! 🤞😊
wow i was really doubtful when i first saw you pouring the paint and i ended up loving the results. good job guys
Thanks!
Such a fun tutorial! You picked the perfect colors! You both are so much fun to watch!

Bravo👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻 looks just beautiful! WOW and WOW! That is gorgeous! Jamie I think you are “Golden Ticket!” Everything you guys touch turns to gold! You’re an inspiration as always!💃🏼
Awww, thank you! ❤️
I LOVE this technique on a dresser! I’ve done it on canvas but never thought of doing it on furniture.
Awesome job you guys!!
Thank you! ❤️❤️
The flowers match perfectly.
Yes yes yes. Love love love .
Thank you! ❤️❤️
Wow 😮 y’all are amazing! Love this technique! Paint pour sounds so fun

Jami you hit this one out of the park - simply fabulous!! You guys are so inspiring!!
Thank you! I love this technique so much!

This would be awesome with white and grays for a white marble look. Maybe faux marble top on a piece. 💕
I’m gonna try a few colors, white and gray would be neat!
Wow... it is gorgeous!!! Love it!!! It just pops!!!
Thanks Angela! It was fun to create!
Oooohhh...this is so awesome Jami! Can't wait to see you do more in this technique!
I’m thinking blue and gray with a white color next
I love the way it turned out!!! Great staging with the pink flowers 🌸!
Chippy glam! I love it!
❤️❤️
WOW, WOW - Will I ever , ever have enough courage to try and do this?? I had my doubts once you started off, but look at it now - marvelously done, Jami and Hubby!!
Get a small piece, maybe the top of a nightstand or end table and try that. Move up from there. 😊❤️
Will do, thanks!
It’s beautiful! And those flowers on top are the perfect thing to stage it 😍😍😍😍
Thanks! The flowers are from IKEA. 😊
You’re welcome! And I figured 😉😊
It’s beautiful, reminds me of a rose garden. Well done!
Wow! Just WOW!!
😍😍😍I’m in love if I lived closer I’d scoop this up. It’s absolutely stunning! Great Job
Thanks!! 😊
I absolutely love, love, love this!! And that’s coming from a very conservative painter! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
Have a dresser almost identical and have it mostly stripped but then couldn't how to finish. Now I know how! Thanks
Yay! Would love to see yours when you do it!
Fun to experiment and be creative. It's such a JOB to finish this way however. I liked it with the paint pour design
I like the combination of the pink swirly, white and mirrored handles. I don't like the gold legs. Maybe instead of gold legs, just a little gold in the swirly design across the bottom. Very pretty!
Absolutely Beautiful. Very Modern, but still very classy. 💗💗💗💗💗
wow it looks amazing. i love watching your channel. love from Ireland.xxx
I seen this technique done with a wet t-shirt for the dragging and it was beautiful
Nice!
Omg that looks ABSOLUTELY STUNNING 😍👍!!!
Les quedo hermosa que bonito trabajo😘👏🏻
Wow so very cool can't wait to try!!!!! Thanks for sharing love the gold too! I would put blue tape before you start on the area you had to sand down to get the drawers to close. Saves a tiny bit of time. Love It!
I wasn't with y'all in the beginning, I was like, "I don't know you guys." But then those knobs! Snazzy guys. Very snazzy. Great job!
😂😂 this made me laugh! Thank you! Glad you like the end result. When I started pouring paint I was a little skeptical too!
I think that is a beautiful peice ... such a transformation ❤️
Looks great! I would love to see it in blues....
Here is one in blues.
ua-cam.com/video/gKSSVSDxi54/v-deo.html
It came out awesome! So pretty, it’s going to sell quickly
🤞 hope you’re right!
Looks gorgeous. I love the paint pour method. More please. Xx
Ok!
