I have my Mom to thank for my deep seeded love of Eminem, m parents divorced young and I saw my Dad on weekends and they had 2 very different ways of raising me, my Mom wouldn't let me watch anything over PG 13 or listen to any music that had swearing lol, my Dad didn't care. So one Sunday when I was 12 I came home with MMLP cd and while I was at school the next day she listened to it and (obviously) hated it, when I got home she literally snapped the cd in half in front of me and from that moment on he became my favorite or all time, at first it was out of spite because she hated him so much but than I realized his lyrical genius as I got older. I still listen to him regularly and besides a couple less than stellar albums Em has been killing it!
I like how you fit that add in there. It actually probably applies to half the people watching this video and I watched it thinking I was gonna have to skip but actually found it interesting I might try that God knows I smoke enough weed I should drop the cigs my girl would love it
Just from the perspective of someone who loves music, I think the “im better than so and so” mentality in rap is weird. There are so many different sub genres and little sects of rap now. Like rock or anything else. It’s like saying “My Chemical Romance is better than Limp Bizkit” lol. Yeah they’re both rock groups but they might as well be different things. You can’t compare them directly like that. So with rap I think we got dudes who can come out with hit after hit. We got dudes who can write lyrics that really make you think. We got dudes that made millions mumbling on sound cloud. They’re all different. Bringing it back to Eminem, I see him as a lyricist and battle rapper. He’s at his best when he’s angry at something or someone. So yeah he’s going to embarrass most people in a diss track or battle. But if you’re looking for music to dance to, he ain’t it. If you’re looking for what’s big in the hood right now, Eminem isn’t it. These things aren’t the same and I just think it’s weird for rappers to act like they are. They all think they’re the best at everything in the genre. IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE LIKE THAT JUST STAY IN YOUR LANE! DO YOU!
Moby had a hit, but to be fair nobody listens to techno lol. It's like eiffel 65, blue was everywhere for about a year, but they couldn't continue in that genre lol. Like no ones gonna buy techo albums because of one catchy song that you cant escape from no matter what you do. Well nobody except parents of 5th and 6th graders. gdi mom lol... I still cant get europop songs out of my head.
Looking at his legacy Eminem is easily top 5 rappers of all time, and if we’re being honest, his claim that he might be #1 if he wasn’t white is not that far fetched.
Well that contradicts what he said on White America which is the truest statement about his skin color that he’s ever made. Em is in my top 5 but idk if I could comfortably put him number 1. If he was black his career wouldn’t have panned out where it is now if we’re actually being honest. And that isn’t a knock to him as a rapper because he’s a 🐐 but it’s the honest truth.
@@RicoSoprano_ 100% agree. If he was black, no matter how good he was he would have gotten lost amongst the slew of talented black rappers and perhaps never been given the recognition. On that same note though how many white rappers are anywhere near as respect as him? Very few. It’s tough to say how it would have played out but he is most definitely a legend, which is good enough. He doesn’t have to be number 1 though… and I think Kendrick got that title anyways.
@@RicoSoprano_ For sure but most real rap fans dont care about the numbers an artist does & cares more about the lyricism & skill of said rapper. So regardless of how well his career would've went whether he's Black or White he's still one of the best rappers to do it. KXNG Crookeds career isn't shit compared to so many rappers but is in my top 5 easily cuz his skill outweighs sales & popularity anyday of the week when it comes to rapping. Popularity contests isn't rap skill. Jay Z not in my Top 5 cuz he got too many lyrics he stole from Biggie & just cuz he's the richest rapper doesn't mean anything to me personally cuz honestly he was relatively weak compared to so many real MCs but I still give him credit for being a talented lyricist especially in comparison to a lot of "rappers" nowadays like a Drake or so many others. I even put Obie Trice & Jadakiss in my top 5 sometimes cuz my Top 5 changes quite often cuz it's so many insanely talented rappers that could be put in Top 5 not just 5 in total yk so even if Em was Black fk how his career would go he'd still be one of the best rappers ever cuz his skill would be the exact same, Royce is a prime example of that, Black just as good as Em if not almost as good as Em but not as successful career wise obviously. KXNG Crooked, even less success than Royce & I think Crooked is just as good as Em if not better I definitely think he's better than Royce though in my personal opinion.
@@julioarcaiko I don’t even compare white rappers to him. None of them could ever get the respect he gets. But that’s because he started from the ground up. He’s up there with the greats like Pac Biggie and Jay. I’m from Detroit and I grew up on Em. I watched him go from being known in the city to a global icon.
@@montegah Yeah lyricism and skills matter first but once you get on sales and longevity matters too. I’m a real rap fan but I never said sales equals greatness. Taylor Swift exists I hope that doesn’t go over your head. Part of Em being white added to his subject matter. So yeah if he was black then a lot as artist changes about him. And idc what you say or how your top 5 works Jay is in mine. And he didn’t still his lyrics when everybody knew it came from Biggie. He was just paying homage every “real” rap fan knows this. Jay was considered one of the greatest long before he ever became a Billionaire so idk where you got that “richest rapper” narrative from.

It's hilarious how Moby really found a way to try to turn his beef with Eminem into some weird Political Spectacle by calling him Homophobic, Misogynistic, AntiSemetic & equated Eminem fans to 13 year old right wingers over not listening to his music 🤣🤣 Eminem really got that nerd spiraling 🤣🤣🤣
IDK about the rest but hes definitly homophobic.
"Guest in the house of hip hop" right Eminem bought that house 😂
To quote realest " I am a guest in this house but I turned it into a mansion"
To be fair, he did make peace with Royce, so it's not like it's totally impossible to squash a beef with Eminem.
To be fair, the game and eminem felt like more in competitive spirit rather than actually hatred like some others in this video.
Hey not trying to be hateful but when you say "LITTLE KNOWN" about ICP you should say at the time, they went multi platinum after too lol also Twiztid isn't one MC it's a group lmao
12:00 "just cause he sold the most records and all of that-"
One thing I didn't notice about Eminem is how he made sure to only diss people who couldn't respond or do anything. Chris Kilpatrick, Moby, Christina Aguilera, ICP, etc. When he was coming up he only went after celebrities to use them for publicity
That’s Slim Shady for ya. However they also said shit about him so it’s like don’t talk if you can’t take the return fire.
Eminem is definitely in my top 10 🫡🫡🫡
i heard eminem more than melle at cookouts😂
With ICP, Em was a bully... ngl
ICP cry about every group. My guess is that they burn bridges behind the scene and end up hurt
@jyeeacobb.5942 yeeh
Icp is still going strong in their own lane.
If you say so. ICP was just a dumb pre-teen group. Still shocked they keep their music out there. Em should have just dissed them outta the music game completely.

They beef with him to get there names back in the games because there irrelevant till they mention EMS name

No he is not
icp did just fine after the beef lol
True. As long as there are trailer parks full of meth heads, ICP will always have a following!
I gotta agree with Lord Jamar on one of his points. The culture crowns its GOATs. Not record sales, not no bs industry politics. It’s just us.
Facts! I've never bought an Em album, I think his a good rapper, but he's not top 5, 10, or 20 in hip-hop. Now commercial rap he's no#1. But Walmart is more popular than Ralph Lauren''s Polo, Prada, Versace, and these other expensive brands does that make it better?
ICP " Aint Nothing But A Bitch Thing" even used the beat when Ice Cube disaed NWA
wording made it sound like eminem is diddy 2.0
So I guess people aren't allowed to say "victim" anymore than?

You don't want to mess with Eminem in a battle because he will tear your ass up on the mic and it's funny how the Game doubled down on his comments afterwards because he knew he was wrong for saying that in the first place. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017 to find me.
I got to say Eminem is one of the goats up there. reason I liked him is because of Dr. Dre and 50 cent were boys, they seen potential. only white boy I like in the game.
Clearly ICP were right in their conflict with Eminem
7:20 - Judging a person based on his skintone?, wild..
This was a VERY GREAT Documentary about Em's victims! Great job man!
Eminem even shouted melly mel out on his Tobey track
And said, "bitch so am I ". 💯
that was a diss.

@@VEEZY55 your favs do worse shit and you got no problems with it. Double standards cause you hate eminem, you know that
I like how you fit that add in there.
DO YOU!
Moby got buried 😂😂
Bodied and dead. Never heard music from him
😂😂😂🤡
Moby had a hit, but to be fair nobody listens to techno lol. It's like eiffel 65, blue was everywhere for about a year, but they couldn't continue in that genre lol. Like no ones gonna buy techo albums because of one catchy song that you cant escape from no matter what you do. Well nobody except parents of 5th and 6th graders. gdi mom lol... I still cant get europop songs out of my head.

Lord Jamar and Benzino HATE Eminem soooooo much like these two mfs are literally OBSESSED you with SLIM SHADY

34:55 The Game looking goofy as FUUUHHHHKKK 😂😂
Looking like he want to look like NBA young boy 😂
