Feel the need to mention this since you guys mentioned the problem with Usagi's color palette. Her real color scheme is white, blue and pink! A reddish pink, but still pink. However in the 90's anime adaptation, due to how saturated her shade of pink is, on TV many times the color would lean towards red, which is why people tend to confuse her palette. If you look up SM official artworks, merchandise and figures, Usagi's official color is pink/dark pink (which is why Chibiusa's color, as her daughter, is light pink). Keep up the great work, love this collaboration

Yeah! If you read the Mangas they have direct Chanel and Gucci references. In the Sailor V! manga the police director only wears Chanel sets and in the extra stories there's a short story about two girls who are obsessed with designer brands. It's amazing how Sailor Moon translated fashion into the story.

I definitely vote for Mina as the winner. She nails the balance between outfits that are very obviously the character and outfits that a real person could wear while being interesting on screen. Her use of textures is great!
As someone who watched totally spies like 5 times over, Mina’s everyday outfit captures sam’s vibe way more, she’s very fashion forward all the girls are, mostly because it’s a European show and a lot of focus is on fashion, girly etc. and it fits the era the show was created as well. That being said seeing both of your explorations of all the characters was so fun.
i think mina NAILED the challenges in terms of accuracy to characters and era, and just the vibe, but i actually want to wear every outfit moderngurlz picked in my real life 😍
as someone who has watched all six seasons of totally spies I would say that Mina's outfits were more accurate and even though Tessa's were also accurate, I don't think Sam would wear those socks and shoes on the first outfit (but defo the shoes on the second outfit!) Edit: watching this back I don't think tessas outfit were accurate at all

Tessa's outfit was too girly and soft. It gave me more Willow vibes from Buffy. Sam would totally rock Mina's outfit tbh. She was smart and outspoken, bit more loud to her style.

for my winning list (just based on my preference) 1. mina- I LOVE rui and just prefer a skin tight shego :) 2. mina- I think the collar and color scheme and silhouettes of the pieces were more sam here, the y2k grunge lilac didn't sit right with me 2.5. spy outfit is also mina bc I like the literal translation haha 3. mina- the orange and red is a must for Velma! 4. Tessa- the darker red/maroon and the little cardigan made this a win, but I think the tie and thigh high socks would be interesting to see 5. I really like Tessa's version of Sam's spy outfit, but for an everyday look, and Mina's spy outfit as the actual spy outfit. With Velma, I see her mixing "masculine" and "feminine" types of clothes, so I like both top halves that both of you did, but I choose to have Velma wear pants instead of a skirt, the I choose to have her wear black boots.
Tessa's Velma looks like Daphne being inspired by Velma which is ironic since Mina's has the top that she took from Daph's closet. It's the headband and the skirt. Both cute tho I ship it

As a Sailor Moon super fan, your every-day outfits were spot on for Usagi in both the manga and anime adaptations for sure! But fun fact, Sailor Moon's boots/gloves/bow are actually magenta; some remastered versions of the anime made them closer to red, but if you compare her to Sailor Mars and look at the manga (and the LA series, which is cheesy but the creator of SM had a larger hand in the production and costume design than she did in the anime), it's a very dark pink or magenta!

As a Sailor Moon super fan, your every-day outfits were spot on for Usagi in both the manga and anime adaptations for sure! But fun fact, Sailor Moon's boots/gloves/bow are actually magenta; some remastered versions of the anime made them closer to red, but if you compare her to Sailor Mars and look at the manga (and the LA series, which is cheesy but the creator of SM had a larger hand in the production and costume design than she did in the anime), it's a very dark pink or magenta!
