    FINALLY I have found someone who would simply SHOW ME how to put my fresnel prism back on. Right now mine is peeling off and the lens under is filthy, but I didn't know how to get it on properly so I didn't want to peel it off to clean it properly.

      You may be able to ask your provider about it, but you should clean it with a soft toothbrush (for babies), some Dawn (basic blue), and water. Don't submerge in the water though. This will cut down on how many times you need to remove it for cleaning.

    Is it possible to remove the fresnel prism and reapply it to another pair of glasses? Will it still stick? Will it give the same visual effect? I have a fresnel prism on now and I want to put it on my other more comfortable frames. Their the same prescription and the lens are ruffly the same shape.

      Yes, it is possible to remove the fresnel and apply it to another pair as long as the shape fits.

      @@farleenosias5302 Ok thank-you. I've been anxious to try since it was my doctor who put them on.

      Just make sure to keep the prism base direction aligned correctly. Ex: if base UP prism, make sure it's still base UP after applied to new lens.

    Why is this not available at most eye doctors when someone is waiting for glasses? I have a TBI and am in a highly distressed state from my distorted vision and the response is for me to wait weeks for glasses to come in. It is awful!!!!

      I think it depends on their inventory and what they're allowed to have in stock.

      Because it is not something that is generally kept on hand and would need to be ordered. Also, not really used for general prescription changes.

    Fresenl vs ground which prisam is better

    • @farleenosias5302
      @farleenosias5302  2 роки тому

      Typically, fresnel is used as a trial to determine if ground-in prism is needed or not.
