- Antarctica Empire of the Penguin opened on May 24th, 2013, as SeaWorld Orlando's largest expansion in park history. The expansive realm opened with a new restaurant, retail location, penguin exhibit, and an all-new ride. Ten years later, the marquee attraction of the realm is closed forever. So what happened to SeaWorld's Antarctica Empire of the Penguin?

This music makes me sad cause all the memories I had with this ride really miss it:(
I really miss this ride it's the one of the only things I did in the park cause I'm not a big coaster fan so this ride really means a lot to now there's not a lot of things to do with family's and I don't see point of going anymore unless we get free tickets
Current ambassador here. My ASUP told that it’s getting replaced with another attraction. My guess is another coaster. You can see construction behind Antarctica or if you walk the path behind Kraken to Pacific Point Preserve.
Yeah I saw it to last month
Yea it’s gonna be like the arctic rescue ride in San Diego.
@@BuIIy_Maguire yeah but the plot is to small for something like that
@@eyeballhasissues6921 look it up it’s a family launch coaster there’s already a concept pov and tracks are already on the property. Type project toboggan.
It's called penguin trek and Its really great and has 10/10 decor for the que
I miss it. It was a ride I could actually do for someone afraid of heights.
That would be cool if you did a video like this on the polar express ride that use to be at seaworld
I rode this 10 years ago and remember it broke down 3 or 4 times while my roommate and I were in line. The ride was just ok. Other parks have since used the trackless system and themed their rides far better. Those who didn't get to ride, you didn't miss much.
Nice to see you back!
Can you do a video about the Wild Arctic ride as well? I'm also curious about why that remains closed too
Im glad you used the source audio I provided thats the area music also user on Emperor at another SeaWorld Park if Im correct, I may never got a chance to ride this thing but I rode a couple trackless dark rides in a similar style that are a bit more forceful than this but with lifelike props and animatronics, both at Disneyland Park.
A lot of my childhood was spent riding this ride and to see the vehicles for it iust sitting out there stripped of batteries is horribly sad for me
awww i really want to ride this someday, but may never get too!
Great to see you back! Where did you find the Antarctica realm music? I've been searching for years for it!!!!
It was me who provided the audio since this is the only one avaliable on UA-cam, recorded from Emperor in a different SeaWorld Park but surprisingly clean barely any coaster sound effects.
It’s been replaced with penguin trek
Where do you get the soundtrack for this video??
I never will be sad about another roller coaster being added to a theme park. SeaWorld does need a dark ride though. Something to beat the heat that's not a show or a water ride
Needs a shotting ride
I only rode it once and it broke down just before the wall opens to show the penguins. LOL
They gave up and people still think they'll build another dark ride in the chain??
Do we have a link to the TikTok with the ride vehicles?
Hi! The TikTok video has been deleted by the individual that posted the clip.
Pretty glad I got to ride it twice way before knowing. It was cute ride, now looking forward to the new coaster.
I’m assuming it’s the same for wild arctic too? Doesn’t seem to be returning soon.
Yea basically every non coaster or raft family attraction at SWO (excluding Sesame Street) got closed after Covid. Turtle trek 3D, Empire Of The Penguin, and Wild Arctic are basically just themed animal attractions now it makes me sad especially with Turtle Trek since that area of the park is dead now. 😢
Yo I’m the first tweet 🙏🙏
Have you heard anything about Seaworld addressing ride vehicles that accommodate larger guests?
The ride technology was defective from day one!
I wish Seaworld would switch to Pepsi already.
