in my imrik campaign, everyone declared war on me, even the high elves. For the first 80 turns or so, i couldnt even hold more than 1 city, because each turn i had about 9 armies attacking. I finally just packed up and left with my ultra powerful single army and took over the south. then went to conquer everything.
Well in my case surprisingly my neighbours except Snikch and sometimes Grimgor are peacefull. But when I get all the dragons uh someone will have a real BAD DAY!
Yeah, the mod “Corrected faction capitals” makes (among other things) Caledor the capital of Knights of Caledor post-unification. It makes Imrik’s campaign insanely easy.
@@JB-xl2jc But the whole Get-A-Trade-Route hidden objective is part of what makes Imrik such a fun campaign to play, at least personally. You get an uninterrupted line to the ocean, start up trade agreements with just about everyone cause you've almost exclusively been beating the shit out of greenskins or skaven so a bunch of people like you and then suddenly you get whopping amounts of extra gold in from trade so you can afford 2 or 3 new armies right then and there. Removing that element would make it boring, imo.
Its even sexier when you put all of the special dragons in imriks army and he even buffs dragon princes so I've even split his army half dragons and half princes. Princes are great at taking out skaven arty and weapons teams cuz they're faster than dragons

There is a mod that resets certain Factions capitals (namely anyone involved in the scrap for Karak Eight Peaks, I believe) that *might* be of use for.... that? Not sure if it's been updated for Imrik, though!

I really wanted to like this campaign, but you highlighted all the serious issues with it, the lack of trade opportunities, the weak economy and expensive units, maybe you can trade with Kroq-Gar if he doesn't play like an idiot, maybe the dwarves up north once you get there, and then invariably you end up against Grimgor who's obviously grown massive by then and has armies everywhere. And then if that's not enough the chaos invasion comes razing your northernmost territories as well
I had Imrik and a mage close to them at all times to account for leadership loss but besides from that they clapped cheeks so hard that the leadership penalty never really made much difference XD
really hope they fix that trade route thing in the future. hag grief managed to somehow get a dread whatever over there, clearly you should be able to get trade vessels through

Entertaining music, and good sporadic use of text. Minor *gripes...* I mean feedback. You could use slightly tighter cutting on spots like 1:30 between going to the settlement and recruiting dragons and at 0:20 when mousing over Imrik. Not much is happening there, just you mousing over the relevant part. maybe zoom straight into the kills. And instead of mousing over the recruitment options look at the army bar with 15 dragons being recruited instead of us following your mouse. In contrast the waiting time with the trading slams home the ridiculous situation so taking your time there is the better choice. 1,2 time the cam is a little shaky around menu's (0:03 , 0:15) if it's not too much work try and avoid that (keep the shaky for exciting stuff like all the dragon breaths' it fits there) We will watch your career with great interest.. Trade goes from capital to capital, you don't have a connection from Lothern to Fortress of Vorag so that's why you can't trade

It doesnt allow you to trade, because trade is established between faction capitals. Imriks capital is his starting settlement, next to clan Eshin...

There is nothing to fix, trade routs are between capitals and hag graef start with access to sea, thats why they can trade
Your capitols need to connect for trade they exist for a reason
You can use the change Capitol mod to fix this
