    Great project!

Transformers are the game stoppers, I have an all tube FM tuner and some 6P14's. I used to throw away this stuff now life sucks.

Hi, nice project! But i think, a tube amp make only sense by low distortion. To play clean, you can take every transistor amp. You get in directly, so you need another valve or an OPV to encrease the volume.

Thanks for the feedback. I am using 2 gain stages prior to the 13EM7 output triode tube/valve. The 13EM7 has 2 triode sections but I only used the power triode section. Perhaps the unused 13EM7 section could be considered as an extra stage.

You can still put something in the lines of a valvecaster between the guitar and amp to add an extra gain stage ? Or even build it into your amp's chassis !

so 70v line transformer can usewith this tube,,, how much impedance in the primer?

The primary is set between 1.25 K to 2.5K based on the load lines the output tube sees, 1:37 Any suitable audio transformer can be used that steps up the speaker impedance to this range.

Real tube audio begins at 500 volts ;)

Yeah and a tube rectifier. My Atwater Kent I had was 700 volts with a center tap. Which I got 350 volts per plate. On a 5Z4 rectifier tube. Then reduced down for the tubes b+. I really miss that radio. It sounded like stereo on AM. Well the radio stations don't play good music for the radio anymore I can get music on the internet and just pipe it through a tube amplifier. 73

@@ronb6182 indeed. It is more rare these days people actually play with tubes even if many like to sell them and is probably for the best too. But those who use them know the truth about them too :)

@@Pulverrostmannen yeah I don't claim to know everything about tubes. I just learned why one of my tube radios didn't work. I tried to change the filament string this was years ago. The 601 granco FM radio had a selium rectifier and I broke the 10 ohm resistor so I decided to put a 35W4 in the series string it worked well so I decided to remove.the 50C5 tube and replace it with a 35C5 but it didn't work. Little did I know not having a schematic there were resistors in the string also. Well I left the 50C5 in the string there were 3 12 volt tubes 1 19 volt tube and the 50 volt tube that makes 105 volts then add the 35 volt tube which is 140 volts plus the resistors. The radio worked and picked up stations over 100 miles away with a twin lead T antenna in an attic room. It also sounded good with the oval speaker inside a wooden case I made for the radio. I didn't think to measure the voltage off the rectifier but I didn't know what it should have been with the selium rectifier. One broken resistors caused this wild goose chase. I didn't have a 10 ohm resistor only a couple of.100 ohm resistors. I was in the ninth grade. I also built a greymark two band radio.ejich I learned how the tubes worked. I had to rebuild the radio because I had a b+ short and couldn't find it the Amplifier circuit worked. Well the second go around worked I also repaired an AM radio for a friend his had a shorted IF transformer I took it apart and found the short.
Back to the FM radio. I guess if I had the radio today it would work with 125 volts. Maybe need to change the b+ resistors . Tubes are for people that want the full sound with all the left out harmonics since music is made up of harmonics and overtones. 73
