    Langton responds, saying, ‘it was in a room like this, elsewhere on the planet, where the idea of alternative facts was announced’. She continues: ‘There have been many advisory groups and consultative groups and councils. There’s no evidence to suggest they didn’t work. In fact, some of them made an enormously positive difference.’ She warns the journalist to ‘look for the evidence’ before reciting lines from ‘a person who has never participated in any of these processes’
