One of the best, if not THE BEST save the show ever made. While she didn't go on to debut (and she will eventually), she single-handedly carried any moment she was in the show and made it entertaining like no other. She made each moment count until the very end, and never stopped carrying a smile all the way. What's more, mirroring Ziyin manifesting her save here, Wen Zhe at the very end kept on manifesting SXT's name to debut above her own. You could see her mouth SXT's name since like, place 3 until the fateful 9th place. Wen Zhe is a kind, talented soul that deserves the world from this point on.
To be fair though, I think most of the c group trainees after seeing the edit and portrayal of Yaning on the Eve team on the Connect Mission round and especially the portrayal of Cai Bing on the Salute team as well as how most of the c group trainees were edited on the Combination Mission round, were pretty much very cautious and do not wish to take any important part of songs or volunteer for leaders, etc. I think most of the c group trainees knew that other than Xiaoting, anything that they do would never be shown with a positive light anyway. I felt that what really changed the mood on the c group and deflated their spirit completely was the treatment of Ruiqi on the interim evaluation of the Snake team. After that, on the third elimination on gp999 on episode 11, you can see the body language on most of the c group trainees that they knew even if they survive the elimination on that round, they knew that other than Xiaoting, most of them probably have almost no chance to make the final lineup. c group trainees went from having 4 trainees in the top 9 on the 2nd elimination on episode 8 to only having 2 trainees in the top 9 on the 3rd elimination on episode 11, most importantly the 2 trainees that were always in the top 9 previously: Ruiqi and Cai Bing were completely out of the top 9 rankings, and their image on the show had turned negative. I think that was the reason that not only Wen Zhe but all the other Chinese trainees all were hoping to see Xiaoting in the final lineup as her name were still not called even when rank 1 and rank 2 announcement were over on the final episode on gp999.
This show is abusive towards these girls oh my God moments like this put into perspective that this is literally everything to them and one mistake can ruin it, or none at all even. Just sad to see them cry.

However, the cell rank should never be used for elimination of the trainees especially when Mnet abolished the cell on the Combination Mission round altogether. I think I would have preferred Mnet just allowed the individually ranked (not the cell ranked) 1 to 18 from each of the k, c, j group voted by netizens to advance to the Combination Mission round of gp999 on episode 5. Alternatively, if Mnet felt they need to introduce the planet pass concept on gp999, Mnet could allowed individually ranked 1 to 17 from each of the k, c, j group voted by netizens to advance to the Combination Mission round of gp999 on episode 5. And then for the planet pass, just picked 3 trainees from the eliminated trainees, no need to pick one trainee for each of k, c, j group to continue on to participate on Combination Mission round of gp999.

A little back story for this: wenzhe participated in youth with you before and she was eliminated in the first round. She was placed 61st in that round and only 60 could get in, which means she was only one place short. The same thing happened in gp999, her cell got 18th and only 17 can get in. So it was honestly heartbreaking for her at that moment.
Rewatching the series, and having had WenZhe as my C-group pick and noting all the evil-editing I really feel for Sein. She was a baby in the competition who didn't understand the weight of her actions. And you can see she really regretted how she effected WenZhe. She apologised. I wish MNET would have edited Sein better instead of making her an antagonist to WenZhe's dreams, because Sein wasn't an antagonist, she was her teammate she just didn't want it as much as WenZhe did and didn't understand the competitiveness of the show.
Tbh I didn’t like when they sang Happy Birthday in that moment. I know there was no ill intention, but it seemed reduced to birthday luck, when she actually made it bc of her efforts.
Most likely because Mnet wanted the viewers to see Wen Zhe receiving the c group planet pass to continue on to participate on gp999 for emotional reasons and for her roller coaster like emotions and not had viewers to focus on the fact that Wen Zhe received the c group planet pass because she earned it of her skill set. Sadly this became the focus of Wen Zhe remaining time on gp999 when she was basically given a clown edit by Mnet and mostly shown as a funny participant of the show instead of letting the viewers to focus on her skill set for the remaining missions on gp999.

Yes she was part of youth with you 2 and so was fu yaning and xu ziyin she is not Korean she is Chinese the show basis is 32 trainees from each country China Japan and Korea are Competing to be in a project group of 9. The show is over and the group is called Kep1er.
It was 33 trainees for each of the Chinese group, Korean group, and Japanese group (commonly known as c group, k group, and j group) to compete for a spot of the final group which consists of 9 members which is now Kep1er.

Honestly, any elimination from gp999 should never be done by cell ranking, especially Mnet basically abolished the cell from the Combination Mission onwards. The elimination on Connect Mission round should just be counted by individual rank not cell rank, and for the planet pass Mnet should just pick 3 trainees from all the remaining eliminated trainees, not have to follow strictly like 1 eliminated trainee from each of the k, c, j groups.
You know if Mnet followed individual rank for elimination on Connect Mission round on gp999 on episode 5, both Xia Yan and You Dayeon would survive and not eliminated, both trainees were eliminated because of their low cell rank.

When Zhe was meant to be our RIG slay 😩 likeeeeee honesty Kep1er wasn’t it lineup wise. Too many girls like wen Zhe, Shana, Suyeon who where eliminated just had more impact than the girls that debuted.
I wasn't sad that Wen Zhe didn't place 17 cause i know mnet loved drama and that day it's her birthday. they made wen zhe a "drama" to gain views. i feel sad that she is a very talented person with lots of great personality but mnet used her. i also feel bad for se in because she got lots of hate after this elimination.
Well MNET loves drama and so what made Fu Yaning hated so bad mostly C-group were the ones used to gain views. Cai Bing too.

Yes she was part of youth with you 2 and so was fu yaning and xu ziyin she is not Korean she is Chinese the show basis is 32 trainees from each country China Japan and Korea are Competing to be in a project group of 9. The show is over and the group is called Kep1er.
she's also one of the most popular trainees and one of the most iconic ones blessing us with her humor and her incredible talent
It was 33 trainees for each of the Chinese group, Korean group, and Japanese group (commonly known as c group, k group, and j group) to compete for a spot of the final group which consists of 9 members which is now Kep1er.

Honestly, any elimination from gp999 should never be done by cell ranking, especially Mnet basically abolished the cell from the Combination Mission onwards.
The elimination on Connect Mission round should just be counted by individual rank not cell rank, and for the planet pass Mnet should just pick 3 trainees from all the remaining eliminated trainees, not have to follow strictly like 1 eliminated trainee from each of the k, c, j groups.
You know if Mnet followed individual rank for elimination on Connect Mission round on gp999 on episode 5, both Xia Yan and You Dayeon would survive and not eliminated, both trainees were eliminated because of their low cell rank.
