    This little band saw has turned out to be the best tool purchase I've ever made ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx5ZrqmYO2uJq_nuU8TopyWxVzn8vqmPUL Once doing the set-up as per the included suggestions, this table top tool has been my go-to saw ever since (8 months as of this review). There are few things I wouldn't attempt with this saw. It takes up much less space than my table saw yet delivers twice as much punch. I've used it to create slices of wood no thicker than an 1/16th of inch by using the POWERTEC BS900RF Rip Fence. For small shop projects this tool can't be beat.

    Gracias por enseñarnos como arreglarlas. Es un garron tener que esperar para poder seguir trabajando. Estoy mirando aqui en Argentina si consigo el alambre, que entiendo que es una aleacion de estaño plata y cobre. Gracias!

      The teeth around the solder are ruined and weak now due to the high heat removing the temper, be careful not to put to much stress or cut anything with to high a hardness.

    Nice job mate , gonna av a go myself ,the blades are too expensive to throw away . i had a metal cutting saw a radial one, and it just kept breaking them i set all tensions right i didn't force it ,so at £16 quid a blade i got rid and got an old donkey say from the 50s it has 1 big thick blade and had it for ages . anyway its my woodwork bandsaw blade now thats broke accidently when woods twisted and ive thrown them but not any more im gonna av a go at this ,how long did they last ? Greetings from Wales UK .

    If your blades are snapping instead of popping out from too much feed pressure your over tightening the blade. Back off a little. That partially split blade you tried to repair that ended up breaking during the fix is really telling for that problem.

    • @edupuertasfruns
      @edupuertasfruns  6 років тому +3

      Some time later this video I found that the problem were some bearings in the machine that were blocked, once I replaced them, no more breackings.

    I've never heard of just putting solder! People always say to grind the ends to an angle, that's what I've always done. It's a little tedious, and the silver is as strong as mild steel anyway. They don't usually break. You do have to file the joint smooth.

      It works, would be better to supperpose the blades in 45deg, more surface to solder, but my machine has not much tolerance

    Hello,
    How much have this torch °c/f ?
    The silver melts at 962 ° C, the density is 10.49 g / cm3, but is the Worthington cylinder ts3000kc have so much °c?

    Hola no hablo inglés pero entiendo bastante de lo que dices amigo, creo saber por qué se rompen o agrietan las cintas a mí me estaba sucediendo lo mismo y lo pude solucionar quitando la cinta después de cada trabajo ya que si se queda montada en la máquina se estrellan cuando se enfrían después de cada trabajo

    • @edupuertasfruns
      @edupuertasfruns  4 роки тому

      Pongo subtitulos en los videos en español. Yo he visto que normalmente se me rompen si no limpio el interior de la máquina muy a menudo. El pico de romper cintas fue porque tenia algunos rodamientos rotos y esto las rompia

    I Love Ur videos, they help me a lot! Im working on a new Project right now, i want to make a figure with realistic muskle behavior. But i just cant figure out How to do it... i had an idea for the biceps an triceps how to make them flex if u move the vor-and-upperarm togeter the biceps would get bigger and if u straighten the arm the triceps would be showing! But im running into alot of Problems. Could u please try to make Ur own Version in a vid! That would be so helpful!

    • @edupuertasfruns

    Wouldn't it be more ideal to just tig weld it? I'd imagine welding is stronger than fusing it with solder

    You're not addressing the real issues here. Stress cracks are caused by blade tension issues, band saw blades are welded with Flash butt welding. Blades need to be heated to 650 C for 30 seconds to anneal and return flexibility to the weld.

    • @Amodelabeast
      @Amodelabeast 5 років тому +1

      no material is added to a bandsaw weld. this will last for 2-3 cuts tops.

    • @edupuertasfruns
      @edupuertasfruns  5 років тому

      In my machine it was because a bearing but I did not know then. The welding worked for some more cuts while you get a new one, but I agree is not definive.

    Thank you it’s very interesting although, in my case, the price of silver solder is much higher than new blades! Can I use something different? Anyone tried stick welding?

      Silver solder is expensive but you only need a tiny amounts to solder a blade .. I cut of a piece about 6mm long and place it with flux over the joint .. its better to angle the joint to give a bigger soldered area .. its called a scarf joint and there are plenty examples on Google on how to prepare the blade before sondering
