Exactly and those same women who shame her would trade physical beauty and desirability with her if they could 💀 I think it really comes down to the fact that a lot of exoticals look “desirable” in all kinds of hairstyles. The women who struggle with their own desirability feel like they HAVE to wear certain hairstyles to have social status and the exoticals don’t have that kind of pressure .

  • @thetatianasol
    @thetatianasol День тому +13

I think they try to humble us because the wigs look more like our hair and it always looks so good. That’s what I’ve noticed. What we wear always looks so normal and realistic. It comes from a place of them not wanting to embrace their skin tone , facial features and hair type etc.
A lot of times when you look ambiguous, you can pull off so many different hairstyles. I’ve noticed because I’ve worn wigs and the wig still look nice even if they were some odd color like green or something.
but a lot of times what I’ve noticed is like those of us who wear extensions that look just like our hair type they’re so jealous of that because it’s like I’m willing to embrace my natural hair type and not hide it with a wig because that’s why I like the half up half down wigs because it’s like I can leave my real hair out and blend it so it looks like my real hair and a lot of people that don’t wanna embrace their facial features, their skin complexion and their hair type they get mad at that. I normally look for hair clips or hair extensions that are the same hair type as my own and that’s what makes it look so good because it looks natural, like it grew out my own head. To me, that’s the entire point of enhancing your beauty and I’m also a fan of wearing a wig that doesn’t look like your hair some women make them look good ,but some women are so insecure and they haven’t grasped that yet in my opinion. So they’d rather seethe with jealousy instead of embracing their own skin tone , facial features and hair type.

A lot of those women are fake hotep women or black supremacists . I’ve also noticed that UABW put pressure on MLS women with TYPE 4 hair to ONLY wear the type 4. It’s like they pressure exoticals to be their natural hair representation. It’s as if they’re trying to make the MLS women carry the weight of black beauty standards on their shoulders. It’s almost like they make it the responsibility of LSBW to be the face of Afrocentric beauty. For example, imagine how much outrage there would be if Chloe and Halle ever shaved their locs off and started wearing lace fronts . They would be dragged for filth

Hey exotically united I just wanted to thank you for who you are and your channel I don't think I'm exotical but I'm a lightskin black girl from south africa ive been mistaken for being coloured(the race tyla is) but im just black lighskin cause there are tribes in africa that are naturally light and I've always felt ashamed for being lightskin cause of how people project the whole colourism thing on me and not feeling "black enough" and with people saying I benefit from it when personally I've never been seen as beautiful growing up so I would feel really bad about my skin tone but since watching your channel I've been feeling better about myself and loving the way God made me ans not care about people who complain and speak about problems and offer no solution thank you love yah pretty gurl❤❤❤❤much love from south africa 🇿🇦

I just got my hair braided with light brown and blonde hair and I’ve been getting soooo many compliments. My UADSW co worker said “your hair looks so good it kinda makes me mad and idk why”. And she said something similar when I got engaged 😅

I’ve decided recently that I want to embrace my natural hair texture more after years of wearing loose wave bundles, started my hair growth journey recently and just got some 4a bundles for my birthday hair that’s match my natural hair texture and I feel like I look so much more beautiful with this which is my real texture or at least very similar, I wore the same bundles in like October and I looked so good .

My hair grew so long wearing sew ins. I would keep mine for like 3-4 months. I can’t stand braids because that Kanekalon hair breaks mine off. I stopped getting braids when I was 18 and started only wearing sews ins. Then I switched to wigs. Now clips in.

I’ve never done sew ins before. So they can last that long? I was thinking about getting braids but my hair breaks when I wear them and I want to grow out my hair longer. My hair is around 22 inches and I want it to grow like 4-5 more inches.

@ Yes they can! If you maintain it properly. Wash your hair underneath and keep the extensions clean and well conditioned. I think 3 months is the longest that’s recommended by professionals, though.

I don’t think you’re supposed to wear them for a super long time but if you have fine type 3 hair you should be able to get away with it . All you’d have to do is care for your hair under the sew in. I did 2 sew ins during college (6 months each) and my hair grew 13 inches . I remember after I took the sew in out I got so many dirty looks from people who were shocked at how much my hair grew😂

As a little monoracial fairskin ginger girl people loved to talk about my thick hair calling it nappy or say it felt like carpet as a way to make me feel bad. And I think as a way to remind me I was still black even though I had a mane of red hair.
As I got older my texture has gotten thinner and curls became more defined learning the right methods for myself. I started to be accused of trying to look mixed and LYING about that not being the case. And when I did the big chop my UA sister (same parents) loveedddd saying she had more hair than me. I hate that I saw her giving me the evil eye when it’d grown back to my neck within a year. She’d “jokingly” ask if I was wearing a wig when wearing it in a fro because I’d worn one around her once and “joked” about what would happen if she snatched it off.
And the hate came from bm and bw. Usually those I’m related to😢😢😢Everyone else like my Asian bfs friends and family ONLY ever compliment my hair and ask for tips. It sucks when your people are your biggest haters!

I kid you not….I’ve always had long hair and I didn’t ever think about it because it was part of me since I could remember. I never forgot 3 instances in high school. 1) A Blasian who had thick wavy hair befriended me and asked how I got my hair the it was. I was always to myself so that question bewildered me so I just said, “conditioner”. She looked at me like I was lying but I didn’t understand. 2) All the long haired exoticals indoctrinated me into their group. I had low self esteem and never saw myself as an exotic person despite the attention I had. They were all nice to me and I couldn’t fathom why they were talking to me. 3) I had my hair pressed and my mom took care of my hair as a beautician. I was sitting and waiting after school to be picked up. I knew these mono racial girls and never had a problem with them. They walked up and asked if my hair was real. I looked confused and said yeah. Without asking, they felt my scalp and I felt violated. I didn’t know what was happening. All they said was “Oh” and walked away. That scarred me. Just because I had waist length hair and people assumed I was mixed, made girls feel like they had to prove it for themselves. It get wild in these streets 😂.

This exactly what I experience… I’m slim thick with light caramel skin and a pretty face… I noticed women always trying to humble me because I wear wigs sometimes. I have naturally long hair, but like wearing wigs because they're low maintenance and look good on me. The reality is these women are jealous, because I look good all together… if I was unattractive wearing a wig they wouldn’t even bother to try and put me on blast…,but because I’m overall pretty they look for something to humble me with.

15:08 this is 100% true. The reason why it always appears plopped on and not blended in is because they’re trying to force something to work that isn’t working. It’s the same with the texture as well because you can have straightened wigs of all textures but it’s an overcompensation of what they wish they had. It always has to be the shiniest, straightest and super long to match with the eyelashes. And they’re constantly touching and trying to keep it in place instead of trying something new that works with themselves individually. All in all most hair options can be sustained well (I mean there’s a whole industry for this) but UBW refuse to learn what works for them and instead want what works for other women. It’s one of the many instances of not connecting the dots. Doesn’t take care of their hair ever, is upset it’s not healthy. Installs hair not natural to their phenotype like a cap, upset that it doesn’t look natural. Tells everyone their hair is bad, is upset their hair isn’t celebrated. Makes millions of videos showing wig installs, is upset people know it’s a wig. Just delusional and sad. Also the whole ‘that’s not true 4c’ thing is an extension of this because they’re don’t want the 4c girlies who actually take care of their texture to leave them behind and/or feel even more inferior seeing another woman achieve what they’ve told others was impossible.

Yeah, im gonna heat straighten my hair and wear weaves and wigs until I die. I have seen plenty of women maintain nice hair with relaxers. I would maybe if I didn't have the health history that I have. I have definitely seen some seriously terrible relaxed hair. I think a lot of them don't put in the maintenance to keep them up.

I'm a high yellow light skin black girl and I was told that I don't have good hair. A few months ago, one of my Black friends said I had that nigga hair and needed to take back the Rev Air blow dryer and how it did nothing for my hair. I was surrounded by a group of people who wanted to see me use the famous Rev Air blow dryer and to see if it works. I used the blow dryer on high heat and after pulling it out, my hair just stuck up and they laughed at me and said I had nigga hair and to go get my money back. I used that blow dryer 2 months ago and haven't used it since. I have short 4b and 4c hair and hate it so much. It cause me so much grief, stress and sadness but I never made fun of other people for having different / loose hair type. Probably because I am a Christian. Whats funny is when I first went natural in 2013, I wanted type 4c hair and was hoping that was my hair type becuse I like the look of long stretched 4c hair and the different hair styles I can do with it. Now I'm stuck with it that won't grow no matter what I do to get it to grow.

The blonde thing is sooo real. Obviously from my pic I like to have blonde highlights in the summer. This is when I receive the most hate. My mom is a natural platinum blonde that she now maintains in her fifties. (I've shown her photo in the discord) so it's like yeah... obviously I can pull off blonde better than you and have it look natural-I came out of a natural blonde woman.

I went to the bank to open a new bank acc. I was having a bad day and was not going to take their BS. I walked in there and demanded to have my new account ready in 2 days including my bank card (I'm from Africa everything is a little slower here). The entire teller section just stared at me and proceeded to compliment my makeup and hair (which was a wig and they knew) including the men. This was so funny to me when I walked out because I was so rude and they were all like "fill here... oh and your makeup is so beautiful... here's a pen" haha "you will receive a message to come collect your bank card in 2 days... your hair... that wig looks so pretty" I was so confused 😄

If they so bad why they going to their salons?they should stay in their own comunity beauty parlors be happy with their own skills .

I like the way I look with blonde hair, or light brown hair with blonde highlights. However, people really do become unhinged when it's this color. I get an unusual amount of hate from black women and an unusual amount of positive attention from white men. for the rest of people, they are less extreme in their reactions to me. I can't put my finger on it. I don't think it looks natural on me, because then I would kind of see where they were coming from.

The combs in wigs kept giving me alopecia .. yes, I left them on too long but because I was insecure with my own natural hair. Once, I stopped wearing wigs that insecurity went away and I didn’t feel the need to wear wigs anymore. I know how to grow my own natural hair now.
