The reason I love Charlotte is because she doesn’t use rollkur, and also she’s a beautiful rider and her partnership with her horse is phenomenal. I bet it was amazing to work with her!
i find it so amazing that’s the world leading dressage rider cares so much about the welfare of the horse. i love how she retired valegro at the peak of his career so he never had to go through a downfall like tortilas
When you're horse is trying his best like Charlotte said you Never get angry at you're horse . I never get angry at my boy we take a step back and try again. You have a gorgeous boy good luck and happy trails to you both ♥️🐎♥️
Z L M Oh no, I’m afraid that I have misled you by using the wrong word. What I should have said is that my daughter and I have “audited” two Charlotte clinics. Of course, that is not nearly as expensive as bringing a horse to one. What we learned is that Charlotte screens and chooses her equine clinic participants ahead of time from videos because there is such high demand in North America to ride with her. What’s really interesting is that she selects horses of all breeds and all levels of training. She doesn’t restrict herself to fancy warmbloods at all. And she picks horses that are promising but have definite areas where they need improvement. After you sit through a weekend or two of watching her, you start to comprehend what an incredible training method she has. Of course, she also has an incredible eye. At the clinic I attended at the Kentucky horse Park, it was January and there was snow on the ground, which is unusual for Kentucky. Charlotte coached eight horses and riders on Saturday, and the next day she brought back the same eight to look for improvements and to go further. Overnight, Charlotte got extremely sick with some virus, I guess. She was literally up all night throwing up, she said. However, on Sunday, she stood in the frigid arena all day ,and you would’ve never known that she was ill. She went so far as to say that she hadn’t felt 100% sure that she’d be physically capable of teaching on Sunday, but she did, despite the adverse conditions, because she knew how disappointed people would be if she couldn’t continue. I have the upmost respect for her iron will. I’m pretty sure that it’s the same iron will that sustained her through two Olympic training cycles. She really can step up when there is pressure.

The equestrian world is so small!!! My trainer takes lessons from Olympian Guenter Seidel, and just about a year ago he moved his operation to my barn! I ride in the same arena with Seidel!!!
I know my mums friend is really good friends with Charlotte and last year they went on holiday together so my mums friend said she will get me a lesson with Charlotte
You and Beau were amazing, he is definitely trying his best for you as you are for him!! And the video was well done, wonderful job. Video audio is a funny thing especially when wind is involved, don’t stress about it.
You must be a very talented rider! I can't imagine an Olympic Gold medalist would give lessons to just anyone. Maybe you can make it to the Olympics as well
Half of her income is probably from clinics and such. Very few professional riders can live off only riding, they need good sponsors, and to do clinics ect.
He was stressed, bless his heart trying so hard! I think the world of Charlotte, a true horseman, and I hope you are able to glean some of her ethics in the time you are able to spend with her.
I don’t believe that his Piaffe is a problem of strength because of all the other GP exercises he performs so well, I believe it’s a problem of coordination that will go away with practice. Mentally for him moving is advancing, movement in place is not in his program. But the day he “gets it” then you will progress very rapidly. I taught mine from the ground in the crossties during Covid and now he “gets it”; our daily progress is super fun and we are doing Piaffe pirouettes now. Well, that’s what I think but what do I know. Just my 2 cents.
You are so lucky! I would do anything for a lesson from her. You are living my dream! I'm from the U.S. so chances of ever having a lesson from her are very low. I hope I can make team U.S.A. someday.
@@jadel8916 snap! But that's a habit I've been in since I started riding and I honestly have no idea how to break myself out of it.... I suppose when the pandemic is over just keep practicing and practicing and practicing
whos watching this after Charlotte was banned from the 2024 olympics for abusing a horse? Charlotte is so fake acting like she's so innocent but im sure, and I hope, Ellie doesn't turn out to be like her.
And then the truth came out… July 2024 and video is released by a Dutch Lawyer on behalf of his client. The video shows Dujardin brutally whipping the horse for failing to perform to her command. It was 24 times she whipped the horse. Her arrogance and passion for success over care for the horse is clear. A sad day.
