Fun fact: You can actually melee a bomber and survive if you use the musket melee because for extra range to hit the barrel, and the spear that cost 1000 fancs can do the same. And also you can use the musket melee to one shot any zombie if you aim for the head: For bomber aim for the barrel, for any zombie aim for the head"
if anything it is most likely to kill you as without barricades i even die meleeing a bomber with a pike (i thought that was suppose to be the bomber meleer :/)
Also there are situations like your teamate suddenly get caught on fire and hes in middle of the fire thrown by igniters, you dont have enough time to save because the horde is coming For examples: These situations mostly happen in la ferme en haut, hougoumont, san sebastian capstian lift part, Kaub, vardo endless and tyrolean
Actually, all mobile players even a begginers can beat 5 shamblers with watch this tutorial, but in real team mates(not test zone and private server) it's actually hard, because of many shamblers spawned caused your phone lag and you get lost to the shamblers
actually now that i think about it blunderbuss is the best gun to deal with runner as it has spread nock gun is a combination of musket and blunderbuss

Nah the bomber and his barrel are not separate entities, shooting the barrel in the head will still make him die
meleeing a bomber with a bayonet will still take a hefty chunk out of your health but lance is lower risk and you will only lose ¼ of your hp
