I bought a DS1 with grey dial in 2019 here in Germany. With leather strap it was only 500,-. Very clean look and exeptional accurate with only 1 second fast a day. Certina means a lot of quality for the money.
It's actually ETA C07.651 and not ETA C07.111 as it's stated in the video. ETA C07.651 has 25j and all metal parts with Nivachron anti-magnetic spring while ETA C07.111 has 23j and plastic palet fork.
The prestige of the brand and not only the design is the dealmaker or dealbreaker when a clock is more for you than only a clock. There are many nice designs in the range below 1.000,- €, but a clock what Mr. Everybody can afford is not interesting for people, who are looking for a status symbol at their whrist.
For me it’s always a no go when you cutout numbers. I have this feeling they had no idea of dimensions when they made the watch and at the end they said oops we need cutout some numbers. But anyway, for me Certina win 😻
Certina: better look, longer runtime and 1/10 of the price. IWC: chronograph, which I am not interested to have in a dresswatch. Conclusion: Certina hands down.
Certina all the way. Is more beautiful and more important, is way more precise. I know IWC have a name but nowadays several brands like Certina, Longines and Mido are hitting hard far above than its weight class. Price is what you pay, value is what you get.
Watch has no other practical use than to show your status. If it’s cheap it kinda beats the object. For me it’s IWC hands down. If they increase the price tenfold I may get Certina
It's a very simplistic point of view. World of watches is much more complicated than "more expensive = better". For example, if you spend 100k on a Hublot, everybody who knows anything about watches will just laugh at you with pity. Sure, it would be showing your status - as an upstart simpleton :) This particular comparison is completely pointless, since apart from green dial, these watches have literally nothing in common. It's like comparing family sedan with a fire truck :)
@@ammarmar3628 it depends what is your target audience for your status display. If it’s fellow trader’s Hublot will do just fine. If it’s your girlfriends old money friends, understated Patek Philippe is your Hublot for the day.
@@ammarmar3628 you nailed it, there's nothing in common besides the green color, and yes you can make a green watch at 1/10th the price of an IWC, but can you make a chronograph with an in house movement, and a column wheel, with applied indices (with numeric shapes) and iwc's beautiful finishing for 1/10th the price... Honestly when I wear my IWC most people don't even notice, because it's not overly flashy it just looks nice. It doesn't need to be plated in gold, most people aren't into watches and wouldn't think I paid more than $200, and it's better that way, I don't have people trying to rob me
Certina are making some really nice watches lately!

IWC is better mark, definitely , but between this two models, i prefer Certina's look.

Certina winns love it
I bought a certina ds-4 small seconds, the quality for the price is just incredible!!
Sapphire and Emerald. Eh, with such a watch, you need a Jaguar and a Bond girl and rush somewhere to the sea ...
wow green dials 🤩
Certina🥰

IWC with the cut 6 and 12 hour is ugly I mean why? Certina definitely looks better, 80 power reserves, anti-magnetic, Swiss overall can't go wrong.
Ok.. this is not fair for IWC...😀.. Certina is the big winner here...
Tell me where can I get this certina from for 700 euros pls?

Iwc win!
iwc
IWC’S definitely better but not 10 times better...by that logic certina would win ...but watches is emotional purchase, so I still prefer an IWC.
