I have nearly the same truck, Mines an 01 dodge ram dakota with a bench in the back and its the 4.7l v8 model with an aftermarket intake and I have straight piped with no muffler, thing is loud and sounds deep its great
I’ve got an 02 quad cab 3.9l and she’s still trucking (pun intended) with 230k miles on it. Some issues that I’ve noticed on mine are brake lines are susceptible to fail if you don’t check them. Also the window motors for the front driver and passenger side can absolutely mulch their actuator cables and you’ll be stuck with non functioning windows. Overall a great, fun, and easy truck to drive and I love mine.
My first truck was a 01 dakota I got it with 180××× and drove it until I sold it with 418xxx miles on it same motor and transmission very reliable vehicle
Great truck man! I hope you get it fixed up nice for yourself. I just bought a 98 Durango and i love it! 5.2 V8, 4x4. Only bad thing is the gas mileage! Good luck to you!!!
Nice Truck Mate, I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota SLT Reg Cab 3.9 V6 74,000 miles. So reliable!!! The 3.9 is just a 318 with two cylinders cut off. Pushrod engine that was massed produced in the Millions 1987-2003. I love these 2nd generation Kotas.
