Hi Katie and Greg. The random shots you always include in the videos are always so nice Katie. I absolutely loved the two eagles atop the pines - such majestic birds! Natures beauty. The deck looks so very nice now that it's all completed. The build was long and hard work but the end result is fabulous, you must be so proud. What really summed it up for me at least, Katie, was when you were out on the deck leaning on the rail just soaking up the view. You looked so pleased and content with the result, it made me smile just imagining what you were feeling. It was nice when you were out on the deck operating the drone, and Aspin really wanting to get it 😉 The animals are always a high point for me and Steve steals the show for me. He had me laughing watching him jump up and springing when you were all out there running around. Those ladies were definitely trying to set a record with the egg production - it's funny how some sunlight will turn that switch on. There were a couple of scenes in this one that really showed me just how beautiful your property has been developed and how nice your home and it all really look. Those wire railings are almost like a huge antenna for listening to the the stars. But as railings they will amply do. The frolicking goats hold a scene that is almost out of a fairy tale. They sure show how much they enjoy life.

Katie, this is something you and Greg should know, When you install treated or stained wood on the railing or decking, remember that the stain doesn't penetrate very deep, So when you install the screws, put them in so the top of the screw is slightly above the wood IF you drive the screw into deep it will break the fibers in the wood and allow rain and snow to weep into the boards around the screws causing rot to start, I'm a FAN of you and Greg's channel, In the last almost 75 years I have learned from my mistakes, There are articles on this now, that I didn't have when I started doing jobs around the house, P.S. Greg you should have made your jig, with 2 sides and a front and slid the jig over the post, that way you would known that the holes on both sides of the post were lined up

Greg, when you went the extra mile and installed the 2x4's underneath the railing headers that really set it off and made it look like a professional job, looks so very perfect. Hi Guys the decks looks so beautiful and the chickens giving you eggs is great. All you need to do now is to barbecue some meat on the grill. Having some barbecue meats with some sides on the grill is the best during winter months. I remembered when we used to do that when we used to live in Canada. Enjoy your weekend.
