I spent two months homeless a few months ago, I lived among and witnessed people actually like this. This film brings reality to a real trauma these folks suffer. It moved me, good job relating and drumming up a ton of emotions in me. Five Finger Death Punch - Wrong Side Of Heaven, search it, watch it. I too had a choice to make, stay homeless and live free, somewhat, or answer my daughters call to let her take care of me. I answered the walkie-talkie. This really brought me back to those moments living alone in my head. Many are not as fortunate to have a hand out of the hell.
It turly is sad how many are homeless and need help. Yet many have nobody, no aid, and almost no escape due to insane laws that bind them to where ever they are. At least that's my thought and opinion. Nothing more than a thought
Holy crap, the pivotal turn in Luca's story where reality started shifting back to an almost normal really got to me, and how it ended kind of made me feel really sad. Amazing story guys, this was really deep!
His ‘friend’ was the voice in his head that said “there is no-one else, you are all alone, accept it and push on” the ‘woman’ over the radio was another voice in his head, that was the HOPE he was holding onto that someone else existed, that he was not alone. The truth was too hard to accept, so he had a battle raging within. At the end he was having to come to terms with reality. He decided to accept the truth.

This film is so well done its hard to express. I watched it through just once but it stuck in my head for weeks. I couldn't shake the idea of, how lonely do you have to be before your mind creates an imaginary friend. Then how long of living with your figment does it take to forgo the chance to find another real person. This scenario haunted me. Then it hit me.........there is no other person......he is so utterly alone his mind is creating a new friend. It was when he told Ford the radio is how he found him that drew me to the conclusion, there is no one else. Just a desperately lonely person with no hope. Well done.

Great story! When Ford presented himself by saying "are you talking to yourself again?" I had a hunch that Luca might be crazy and just imagining his friend from the start, and it was interesting to see if this was the case. I loved how the story was left open, with no questions answered, felt the connection with Luca right there.
After all, i just realized... Luca has been alone all the time. And, Ford is just part of his subconscious mind already...his HOPE to keep living and accept the fact that he's the only one left there ALONE.
Ford was a coping mechanism; like Wilson in Cast Away (Tom Hanks movie, early 2000's, I think). Do we take the delusion, or venture towards reality. After all the time of being alone, reality becomes scary. Good movie.
Very nice. I kind of had my suspicions about Ford early on when Luca tried to radio him and Ford just shows up and tells Luca he always knows where he is.
Yes! That first scene where Ford just shows up, for the first few seconds I felt like Ford wasn't really there, just a figment of his imagination. But I pushed that thought to the back of my head and continued.
What a deep plot. I feel like every conversation is thought through very intensively, to be one of lucas thoughts. Also the way that theyre talking is exactly the same way people are talking to themselves. 👏
Yes! Especially the scene where he was walking on the train tracks. The point of view made it look like he was talking to himself most of that conversation.
Incredible short film. I guess his partner Ford, was actually Dead, perhaps from an earlier depiction of their fight, and Luca was suffering from his uncontrollable rage, of having killed the only human being left besides himself, thus his extreme desperation to find another living soul. His insanity completely took over him. Sad case indeed.

I'm guessing he answered the call. May not be best to listen to the part of oneself that is always the negative part. I was wondering if Ford was real or in his head. Hard to imagine only one person left no matter what happens. Great film. Emotional, believable, from Luca's dirty appearance to his attempt to pound Ford to death. Well written and acted.
Good but sad and I am kind of sick of the whole broken human being thing. Personally I think I would have loved the apocalypse in my 20's and 30's but now that I'm old and fat I will probibly never become a warlord even it it does happen next year.
I'm female so maybe that's why I did not like it! LOL I'd have chosen the voice over the mic long before a hallucination of a man, if I were a man! :-)
He realized the voice on the radio was an imagination, as it called out his name... Thus he went with Ford. At least he knew with Ford he could survive.
Ford is not real too, he is a coping mechanism of luca. Notice: when ford scared luca in the beginning, ford said he always knows where luca is. Also when they walked on the traintracks ford was reminding luca of good and bad memories, saying; “you couldnt even slit your own wrist”, wich is clearly luca talking to himself. Also ford claims that luca smells, whilst he himself is pretty odorless. Propably along with some other hints i didnt notice. In the ending, ford suddenly disappears from underneith luca, and pops up behind him, wich is another hint to his non existence. Your right that the voice from the walkey talkey in the end is lucas imagination cuz she knows his name, and it is symbolising hope for finally finding another human being. Ford says “if you answer that i’ll be gone forever”, not because he wants to leave or for no reason, but because luca knows deep down that the voice is imaginary, and if he answers it’ll be gone. Thus the hope for finding someone will be “gone forever”.

Great short film that kept viewer interested as to what happens next. So many questions were left to be answered in the clip, the production team could have another successful film if they make it. They just need to get the word out, maybe with an announcement at the end of the clip.
Thank you! We have more films planned, but getting economic support is rough. We're working on it!

Yer... That s why yu need to prepare it long before it s starting...

Really great idea and writing.
Awesome movie really enjoyed it!
If you guys wrote Hollywood films, we wouldn't have 100 reboots of old movies
Good but sad and I am kind of sick of the whole broken human being thing. Personally I think I would have loved the apocalypse in my 20's and 30's but now that I'm old and fat I will probibly never become a warlord even it it does happen next year.
Lol !! That makes two of us !! ,
Lmfaooo :)
LOL
Haha warlord
i have thought the same
Very well done!
Wow! Just as good as twilight zone
This was an excellent short. What did you shoot on? Camera and lens specs please. Beautiful cinematography
Thanks! We shot this on the Sony F3 with Sony Prime Lenses (35mm, 50mm, 85mm). We also had a few macro shots with a Canon 750D.
@@RagnarokFilm looked great! How long did it take you to shoot?
@@jerrysommer5379 We spent about five months from the first script to the final cut. The shoot itself took about a week.
@@RagnarokFilm Nice, can't wait to see what's next. Keep up the good work👍
Great movie, one the best Ive seen here.. Loved the mood, the actors were awesome..
"If you answer that.. Im gone forever".... xD
I'm female so maybe that's why I did not like it! LOL I'd have chosen the voice over the mic long before a hallucination of a man, if I were a man! :-)

That was fantastic. Surprising and sad.
A good psychological short. The run time was just right.
@@patrykbielecki1949 Good point(s).
@@patrykbielecki1949 did he not say his name on the radio?
Brilliant. A work of art.
Awesome !
This is a beautifully-done film (in every way). But damn, it's sad and lonely.
@Ragnarok Film
Ford said his radio battary had run out. Doe this mean Luca's radio was dead an that he was imagining all the radio noise?
Love the moves
Nicely done! Didnt see that ending coming!
