I can't remember why I ever doubted myself. I can't explain how natural meditating is for me. I can't describe the relief I feel and how easily I clear my mind when I medidate. I can't stop dedicating time for me! Now, go conquor the world!
Added comment: When I first started meditating I had to imagine a mini version of my chatterbox self that I duct taped my mouth shut and placed on my left shoulder and said, "Be quiet!"

@julieq3910 Thanks for watching and commenting! Many people think meditation is about clearing the mind but I believe it's more about being with whatever is going on with the mind in a non-attached way. Thoughts come and thoughts go, feelings come and feelings go, it's all part of a changing inner landscape. 💕

The mind cleaners really resonated with me. I have ADHD so meditation is a challenge. I love your videos they are short but very informative, just perfect for me. Thank you

My Guru used to tell us that thoughts are annoying monkeys and using the mantra is a pole for the monkeys run up and down on. They never go away they are a part of us. The pole is there to anchor you - to come back to when your mind won’t settle.

Also, there comes a point in meditation where you separate being / engaging the thoughts to observing them - like watching a movie. It’s called witness consciousness. The goal is not to do away with thoughts all together, that’s not possible - it’s to not engage with them. Even when I’m in a very deep state of meditation my thoughts are off playing in another room. I know they’re there, I’m just not playing with them right now. LOL

@@miryanacolton5674 Yes, I view it this way, too. Thoughts come and go but we decide whether to engage with them or not. 💕

I tried many techniques of meditation during the last 40 years or so. Depending on what I'm expecting from my practice, I change from one technique to another one. One of the easiest way I found to meditate regularly is to practice mindfulness when doing daily tasks like washing the dishes, taking a shower, drinking a cup of tea.... For some people, meditation could be as easy as to be fully present to the moment when gardening or playing with their your pet or child!

@louiselamirandeart I love this, Louise, I have done the same thing with various techniques and practices. Woohoo on your 40 years of meditation! I'm so glad you mentioned mindfulness with daily tasks, that's a fantastic approach. When I first read Jon Kabat-Zinn's Wherever You Go, There You Are, repeatedly when I first discovered it. Thanks for watching and commenting, I always appreciate what you share. 💜🙏🏻

Thank you, Christy. I agree that we can each have a unique approach to meditation that is valid and effective. I refer to my cat, Grace, as my mindfulness coach. She demands to sit in my lap every morning, and while she does so I am "trapped." I use this time to breathe, and just be. It has turned into a special meditative practice before the day unfolds.
I have also used my daily walk to the bus stop as an opportunity to just be present to what is. Both of these practices are perfect for me!
I look forward to trying the "mind cleaners."

@PamelaWilliamsGifford You're welcome. Ha, I love your furry mindfulness coach, I have a couple of those, too. They have advanced coaching skills, don't they? I love how you used to transform your daily bus stop walk as well. It could have been an opportunity to go on autopilot and pay less attention rather than more. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! 🐱🚌💜

Thank You Christy 🙏💜✨🌺 Yes i did meditate for a while and then stopped as I was falling asleep while at it and couldn't fall asleep at night🤦🏼‍♀️. Now I just try every day to practice mindfulness/ active meditation. Just focus on my breathing while doing my daily chores. If I lose focus and my mind wanders, I let it go for a while and then remind myself again. Just practice makes it better. Of course, this way you can't access Akashic records but you get better of taming the mind 🐒 🤸🐒🏃🐒

@Livingwise88 You're welcome. Ah, it makes sense that sleeping meditation wasn't ideal but what a great alternative following your breath while active. Taming the mind is a great foundation for other practices. As a side note, many people access the records without doing it consciously so you may have been in them more than you realize. Thanks for your interest and comment! 💕

🙄 .... So... Do I meditate? No... I think... I want to be well, doing well with myself... Maybe I'm learning, say maybe... that there is no right or wrong in making your own choices trying to be well... Not getting what which is expected to be like this or that, brings the idea of I can't do it, I don't know how to do it... and then you quickly give up if... in continuing to search... I have met a beautiful girl whose meditation guides lead us to observe the that happens inside each one... then I get closer to myself and somehow that brings comfort too... Finding the path is always what matters and everyone has their own. no one needs to worry about that!! 🍊

Im new to meditation and my mind is getting less noisy but I am not sure what I should expect to happen during meditation

@glasscow9965 Meditation is less about something happening and more about becoming an observer of your own experience. To have your mind get less noisy is a lovely sign that you're becoming more present! 🎉
