Oda’s always been a fan of name schemes in his story so I’m guessing it’s 1. Monkey D.rum (Monkey Drum is a real type of Drum) 2. Gol D.rum (Gold drum or gold drum and bugle course) 3. Trafalgar D.rum water law (Trafalgar drummers during waterlew) 4. Marshall D.rum (Marshall Drum, like military/war drum music) 5. Rocks D.rum (rock drum) 6. Portgas D.rum (Portuguese drum adufe) 7. Nefertarti D.rum (Nefertiti drum album by miles Davis) 8. Jaguar D.rum ( Mayan jaguar drum) I’m guessing they were the drum pirates EDIT: my bad guys I meant to spell MARSHALL as MARTIAL DRUM (like military drum)

What if Oda calling Davy a no good pirate is some 4d chess move where the government is the one propagating the idea that Davy was selfish but in reality he was a cool guy who just opposed them
If we’re working with the hypothetical that Law is the traitor to the D. clan I feel like his name being *Law* is worth noting too, since in a sense laws and freedom don’t mix.
Davey jones theory connects perfectly with the theory of Blackbeard’s ability to have multiple DF by storing him in himself AKA Davey jones locker because he had Davey jones will.
I admire the commitment of theorists to the reincorporation of the Davy Back fight. Seriously, the theories built around its reintroduction are wonderful and always worth a good laugh. That being said, I can't stress enough how little I want to read another Davy Back fight and pray that it was just a one-off after Skypiea. Still, if Oda cooks then I will eat.
Its just a sideways smiley face, joyboy is probably a dingy goofball like luffy and drew his own jolly roger but never changed it. All his crewmates were the "D" pirates and their descendants are "D" clan members. The traitor in the D clan must have been someone who betrayed joyboy and that is the ancestor of the blackbeards and rocks. Im guessing that is imu who betrayed joyboy, he wanted to take control of the whole world and succeeded. He is the secret king of the government, rocks wanted to rule the world just like imu, and it seems blackbeard wants to do the same. So im guessing imu is the great ancestor of rocks and blackbeard
Nice i was thinking more of a death or dust cause onepiece is a dust. Representing the grave which we all (usually) be at the end. Dust and bones. But i like yours so much :D
Davy Jones could be Joy Boy real name, before he was able to transforms into Nika. We know that Joy Boy is not Nika from Vegapunk, thefore, he probbaly had consumed the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, or got those powers in an unknown way, aditionally, Nika form is only mentioned as Joy Boy whenever Luffy enters gear 5. So i think it is safe to assume that Joy Boy had a non-Nika form. Also, the Davy Fight Back can be seen as stealing someone's crew, but it can also be seen as freeying someone from somenone's crew.
Funny enough going along what you said at 24:00 that could also explain why Bonney can use a nika form maybe there’s multiple ways for joyboy to reincarnate so to say. In other words the Imu vs Joyboy fight is inevitable
The past weeks I've been re reading the manga and came to the same conclusion it might be davy jones. I think another big hint is in the sbs of chapter 516, the reader asks if kuma is holding volume 12, or 13 of the manga. Oda his answer is that it might be 33 and he is reading the story of the davy back fight and laughing to himself. Or 25 in which he debuted. He finishes with saying he doesn't know lets all take a guess.
D is for Dawn, those that are destined to bring a new dawn to the world. Since Luffy has the sun god fruit that makes a lot more sense. The government didn't want a member of the clan of D. to get the nika fruit because it would mean that the new dawn would be inevitable. Maybe black beard has the will of dusk with his darkness fruit?
@jackkelley5975 there was a judas in joyboys crew which is why he might have lost the war that is why every generation of the D clan will have someone evil like Rocks and now Blackbeard
I was legitimately thinking about this before I saw your videos, I love the connection towards the smile especially remembering Doflamingo’s jolly roger and how corazon jumped into action when Law stated his name with the initial D.
Honestly I think the D stand for Dawn. I know this has been tossed around multiple times but thinking about it more and more makes so much sense. First off, a new dawn is what Joyboy/Luffy is suppose to achieve at the end of the story almost freeing the world of its shackles by the WG we can all agree on that. But I think theres more too it. I think Joyboys pirate crew were named something like "The Dawn Pirates". Why? Well we know that Joyboy and Nika are two different people now. Nika freed people using his sun powers and lit up the sky like it was a new sun dawn. What if Joyboy knew about this and used his powers to do the same thing in the other 20 kingdoms where people were oppressed. This would mean the Void Century wasn't a perfect utopia but it makes so much sense why the WG would want to hide it because it started a revolution that showed the 20 kingdoms (now the WG) there true colours. So what Joyboys crew would do is basically what Luffy crew does which is freeing the oppressed. Almost making a new dawn for them like Nika. This would explain why people call it the Will Of D aka the Will of The Dawn Pirates which was to free the oppressed. Joyboy made all of his crewmates put the D intial in there name just like how the Strawhats and Vivi did in Alabasta to show who was on what side, like hiding in plain site to make the will live on so that 800 years from then the new Joyboy (aka Luffy) will know what to do, how to do it and who to help him along in that journey. I'm sure I'm probably missing something but I think this is a solid theory.
Another thing involving the X/D and traitor idea. We have another meaning for X that actually starts with a D, in the story. That would be X aka Diez aka TEN Drake, who acted as an agent for Sword and was a traitor in the beast pirates when he asked Luffy aka joyboy to fight by his side directly. Coincidence?
I wrote this unhinged thing a little while back but I have a some experience with portugease and japanese culture and language and the portugease are the nation who ended japan's isolationism, the portgas, portugal, wano, japan, period of isolation, and protugal ending the isolation, are the hinge points of all this So this is not particularly related to this video at all however I think I might have stumbled upon the meaning of the will of D. So we start in Brazil- stay with me here. A land of heavy influence from Portugal that speaks Portuguese. Portugal was the country who Japan first traded with when they ended their centuries long isolation with. Portugal, is a very similar word to Portgas. Brazil is most known nowadays for the sport of Jiu-Jitsu. In fact Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was created by the followers of a man named Mitsuyo Maeda, who travelled the world with the goal of finding and fighting all of the strongest men in wrestling, easily overpowering people from many countries in a legendary fashion. Maeda was born at the very end of shogunate Japan before the government and landscape became imperial Japan. Maeda was like the last messenger to make it out of honest shogunate Japan and just explore the world. In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu any black belt from any country in the world knows the word fodase. It comes from the followers of Maeda and means essentially some conglomeration of all of this A warrior with a nonchalant fuck it attitude A happy warrior who smiles in the face of a "fuck it" situation Someone essentially will go into a match with a larger stronger opponent laughing and being like shit, here we go hahaha lets do it And Brazil is essentially was founded by runaway slaves and pirates mingling with the natives of south and central America and idk the fodase-maeda-japan-portugal-portugease ending japanese isolation. It definitely passes occams razor because all the elements required for it to be true are simply... pirates... people wanting freedom, slaves, a man leaving Japan to explore the world and fight all the strongest people, the portgas being son of roger and having the portugal connection, again the country that ended Japanese Isolationism... phew. Wow. It's just like there's not a piece that doesn't fit. Maeda left and Japan went full Imperial and shogunates were ended, and when Oden left, an oppressive regime steps in, and who stops it, the guy who inherited the will of Portgas, or the Japanese fusion in Brazil, who inherited the will of his dad Roger, WHO NEEDED ODEN TO UNLOCK THE SECRETS OF THE WORLD. Oden is Maeda, Roger is Portugal, Roger and Oden unlock the secrets of the world but ultimately One Piece is inspired by a Japanese view of the world and Oden is our perfect Maeda as far as being a man hellbound to leave Japa-wano and meet all the strongest people, and Maeda's will in real life was inherited by a family who became Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practictioners for the next several generations making the sport known to all across the world and the family who carried on Maeda's teaching always stressed this idea of Fodase and never doubting yourself and being a happy care free warrior who nonchalantly goes- this is probably won't end well but still jumps at the challenge with a smile and happy warrior energy also I should add ask anyone who is a legit Jiu-Jitsu practitioner what their lineage is, and they know what part of the Gracie family their sensei's sensei's sensei comes from, even the way we tie our belts is dependent on which side of the Gracie family your lineage is. And you're not legit if you weren't taught by someone, who was taught by someone, who was taught by a Gracie, the Gracie's inherited the will of Maeda, and anyone who is a legit Jiu Jitsu practitioner has heard the term fodase, unless its just like their first year or something
@@greybo4034 from a Japanese allegory perspective Oden is definitely the main character and obviously his kids who were pushed 20 years into the future
Here's a crazy theory about the identity of D.: It's Joyboy's ship. We know from the Going Merry that ships can be alive and have wills, and of course it would be appropriate for Joyboy to also have a ship with a klabautermann. Not only that, but calling something "the will of a ship" could also be a way of saying "the will of a crew", since the two things are often synonymous, a crew is nothing without its ship, and a ship is nothing without its crew. Thus, the Will of D. could be the collective will of Joyboy's crew, carried on through those who sailed on his ship and their descendants. Those who carry the D. belong on the D., the ship and crew of Joyboy, and that revelation could cause everyone with the D., except the potential traitor, to all come together in a way nobody would have ever expected such different people to otherwise. Hell, maybe the ship is still out there somewhere, and it will literally bring everyone together under the same sail, though that's a stretch on my part.
I thought you were going to say since it’s Davy “Back” that Joy Boy went around challenging other groups for members, and all the fights were held on Davy’s back, if it does end up being an Island Whale . The only problem I could see with this is that if Joy Boy is the first pirate (I assume this means that he was the first one to ever fly a Jolly Roger and not literally the first ever criminal to own a boat) then the other “pirates” would have no obligation to honor the rules of a Davy Back Fight, or even accept one in the first place, since none of them would be bound by a Pirate’s Code (Guidelines)
Excelent, it really makes a lot of sense, and it has or gibes profund meaning to a lot of others things in the story, in fact, it ads to the whole macro context of the story, and it puts the subject of "nakamas" in the front and in the center of it all, just like Oda has hinted many times... saying that One Piece is storie about Nakamas.
Related to this I think the following: I don’t think the D has sth to do with blood related to begin with but it simply was the sign that u are part of the crew/ kingdom. I mean bloodrelated almost means nothing in one piece…it’s always about that “true family“ is the real family Lily originally infiltrated the D clan. She had a change of heart because she realized that joyboy is a good person and probably fell in love (romance Dawn…could be a nice Easter egg. Everything started because of a love story). She became a double agent because of it and imu till the end was not sure if she did a mistake or betrayed him. When he found out about the the letter signed as D he finally knew (as u said). I could think of a story where the traitor is revealed as lilys family and everybody thinks Vivi is a traitor except luffy. As some said I think D stand for Dawn or for a smile. I think we’ll only find out everything on laughtale (which is on or to be specific under Long Ring Long Land Island (thats my headcanon and nobody can convince me otherwise)
Just something random popes in my mind at 20:06 paused to type cause idk what you'll say but, I believe Lili may have transferred the poneglyphs not with a DF such as the paw paw but with the help of the island whales or the species laboon is.
The Will of D, means destined. Everyone who has the Will of D means that they are destined to do something great, whether it’s something good like Luffy or something bad like Rocks and BB. Every member of the D clan is destined for something great in their life time, EX Rocks was destined to have the strongest pirate crew, Roger to find the one piece, Law to have the power of immortality, and Luffy to save the world. That’s why the Imu and the 5 Elders are after anyone who have the will of D because they don’t know who is destined for what.
well, it makes sense but it doesn't add up. The issue is that some characters are destined to do something great but don't have the D. Otherwise, Newgate, Shanks, all emperors of the sea, Vegapunk... and other characters would also be a D. It is also very hard to determine wheter something is great of not, it is too abstract. Also, if they were destined to do something, they would be born with the D, but as we saw with Sabo, you can aquire the D
@@chic7489 but Vegapunk and Shanks and Newgate seems like they are all doing something great for someone in D Clan as well, Newgate to save Ace at marineford, Shanks to guide Luffy, and Vega punk to Learn about the history of joyboy and the void century.
Great video Dak's, hey do you think during the Void Century we'll see races we never seen before? Also do you still think your Ancient Weapons being alive beings theory is still possible with the current info that just got reveled?
@@thakidd5299 I'm used to "Luffy" myself, but I understand it was only used in English translations because it just sounds better to those of us who are native English speakers. Ruffy (especially if pronounced more a Spanish "ru-") is honestly closer to the original Japanese ル and is also used in many official translations globally.
Shanks is the traitor, also the pluton is the laser thing which destroys islands. Lucci has a photographic memory. Back in Ennis lobby Franky flip through the blueprint pages before burning it and he was able to memorize it. That's why he went from cp-9 the lowest rank ops to cp-0.
My only issue with "Davy" being the name is the fact that the tradition of "Davy Back Fights" COULDNT exist if it was part of the void century. Pirates or not, the name Davy simply living into the future goes against EVERYTHING the void century represents
Interesting theory. Here's my question though...why exactly would Imu even agree to a Davy Back fight in the first place? "Well, I'm planning to obliterate your kingdom, wipe it from history, take over the world, and cause a massive flood killing millions..but before I commit genocide, let's have a Davy Back fight and try to steal each other's crew members".
I feel like he locked in after 800 years yk😭😭 bro was done being disrespected just started Alt deleting islands💀 maybe he was young and foolish back in the day, after 800 years you'd lose ur prime sooner or later
I feel like the D stands for the name of the planet. Which is still unknown. The will of D being the will of the planet, while the Ds are considered the enemy of the Gods that rule the planet. With Nika the Sun God being a member of the D clan, reincarnated into Luffy, whos biggest dream is to be free and explore the world to his hearts content. Granted im more than likely wrong, but its a fun hypothesis.
This would also explain why joyboy sent the apology to the fishmen, assuming joyboy is exactly like luffy then it would make no sense for joyboy to send an apology letter saying he can’t do something, luffy wouldn’t give up until he died, and joyboy was exactly the same, but if he was taken during a Davy back fight by imu then this would make perfect sense since if that happened then he’d essentially already lost, so he wouldn’t be able to fulfill his promises, hence the apology
I'm still sticking with D being Descendant. people are who Descendants of key figures in the ancient kingdom. the kingdom itself which clover was killed before saying the name. could also start with D. and the traitor is the person/family that betrayed joyboy back then.
I think the D. Might actually have something to do with the Davy Back Fight, the fact that Foxy introduced the concept really early on in a cannon arc, but it hasnt come back around in any significant way is weird for Oda. Every small detail comes back so it being left in the oven is a bit weird to me. We also don't know much about it except that it is an old tradition amongst pirates so they can compete. Assumably it was started by someone named Davy. If we are connecting the Will of D. I'd venture that the Davy Back may have been started by Joyboys crew mates with the initial D, maybe the D. Is referencing Davy Jones much in the same way the Davy Back Fight does. What if the D. Marks them as death and destruction on the sea for the enemies of the name, because they are Davy. This is just my dumb theory.
My theory is that Davey Jones was one of Joy Boys' crew mates, and he stole the one piece for himself, causing Joy Boy to lose against Imu. But hey, that's just a theory
I am surprised that you did not mention shanks as a possible fake D, considering his friendship with the gorosei, his incredibile influence over the pirate world and the fact that he was in possession of the gomu gomu fruite.
These theorists go so deep and speculate so hard, there is no way the end will ever sctually live up to the hype people like this build up for it. This is the definition of headcanon. This guy has literally written his own entire story. Hes using ideas that we know were made before Oda had any of this plan. Like Vivi starting out trying to kill Laboon. She wasnt even intented to be a princess at that point, let alone a member of the D clan. Where does Laugh Tale being inside a whale come from? There is just no basis for so much of this stuff. The foundation of the theory is built on speculations, which then go on to be speculated on further, and those further speculations are further speculated on... the chances of any of this being how it ends are absolutely tiny. This is just this dudes own version of OP lol!
You are definitely right when it comes to all these theorist like this channel and their need to push their head canon and make it all sound like it’s true and believable. However the one thing I disagree with is you basically implying that oda wasn’t thinking that far ahead and didn’t have it all planned when it comes it comes to the story cause that’s just not true. It may seem impossible but when it comes to this story and it’s plot from the very beginning to the present and the future when the final chapter is written has all been meticulously planned and written by oda though for example one of the few things he didn’t fully grasp on how he wanted it conveyed to readers is haki. If you go back pre time skip when it came to armament and observation haki both were hardly used and it was never made clear until right before the time skip began when Rayleigh explained what haki was to luffy that we found out exactly what haki was and that everyone could use armament and observation haki. The only type of haki that was made abundantly clear as being very important to the story from the very start was conquerors haki. After the time skip oda came up with way to show readers when haki was being used mainly armament haki by turning parts of the body black or weapons which again wasn’t concept he used in the story pre time skip but post time skip is now the norm for armament haki. So certain things like powers were constantly being adjusted throughout the story but in terms of the plot of story he’s always known what he wanted to do with it. So to say vivi was never supposed to be princess at that point when she was going to kill laboon just isn’t true because that’s not how you write a story especially if that character is suppose to play a bigger role later in the story and you don’t even know their backstory yet then there’s no reason to reveal she was going to end up being princess from country that was taken over secretly and held hostage by pirate warlord working for the government. That’s called story and character development and oda story involves so many moving parts in so many different characters in a giant world. It was always his plan to write a long term story and that requires slow world developing storytelling and it’s also no secret that he’s dealt with health issues over the many years, which is why he has contingencies in place in the event of his death he already has the entire story written down from every remaining ark and characters within the arks and all their dialogue. Every single has meticulously been written down already and planned so yes certain things have been tweaked over the years but the story itself and all it’s dialogue have already been because oda is very detailed oriented person which you have to be in order to write a story that’s taken 25 years and counting and if he didn’t have it all planned and he was coming up everything on the fly with each new ark then story itself would not even look anything close to what we have read from him over the years because it would lack vision and continuity and that’s all I gotta say.
@@deeward283 Oda himself has said he wasn't planning on Vivi being a princess. Go re-read/re-watch and come back and tell me that was meant to be a good guy all along lmfao! She straight up murders people. And even if you come back and say it, it wouldn't matter because Oda himself said he came up with it later. Oda is indeed a master story teller. It is insane how much he has planned out and intended. But he is not the God some people make him out to be, he himself is the first to admit that. There is alot of callbacks and clearly planned things from early on, there are also a ton of things that he realized he could take advantage of later and work into the story. Sorry, but Vivi was not meant to be a princess. She was especially never meant to be a D clan member, her almost killing Laboon was not a tie in to Joyboys whale (?) Not even sure where the idea that Joyboy had a whale friend came from. Oda is a great writer. He did not have the entire story plotted out from chapter 1.
A previous Ope Ope no mi user definitely helped out the WG since most of them are immortal(at least from aging.) Maybe they had multiple users. Having Law be a traitor in the end would suck but maybe its in theme.
D. could actually mean Destinies but in a broader meaning. Each D. is said persons part in the world. Garp could be Defender, Dragon can be Defiant, Luffy maybe Dreamer or Dawn. What Lili could have been was Deserter, connecting it to Alabasta by puns. Meaning every D has a path that they WILL go down. That is why they have “Checkered Fates”. All their deeds and actions will lead to an end they were just born to do for one final goal such as Joyboy’s plan.
That actually makes a lot of sense! If Joy Boy and Imu get close enough in proximity, someone who has the power of the Op Op fruit could switch them back. That would make it extremely important for the world government to secure possession of both the Nika fruit and the Op Op fruit. As long as they know exactly where both fruits are and no one gains their power, they can maintain control indefinitely. That makes Law, Luffy, and Robin extremely dangerous to the world government. Law and Luffy as the current users of those fruits and Robin as the only one with the knowledge to translate the language that can relay that information. It also makes sense that Gol D Roger would laugh at finding out the truth, or at least part of it. All of this chaos because of a Davie Back Fight? A high stakes carnival game? Now my question is how does Brook figure into all of this because a power like his has to be significant. There’s a handful of other fruits that seem to have powers that have bigger roles as well. I’ll be interested to see how they play into this theory.
I saw a theory relating the "D" to be related to Djinn, supernatural creatures of varied morals and powers including shapeshifting and manipulation of the elements. Jinn is the colloquial term. Curiously jinn also sound like "Gin".
hope this video ages well it very well could be shot down in like a few weeks edit: i should preface this by saying i haven’t watched the whole video yet
@Dak's Sake Dak off the topic with saul being a giant from outside of elbaf with D. and a hat and the hat in marijoa being in the same size i think Joy Boy might be a play on initials J B being Jaguar D. Binks but just like luffy he wanted his ideology to live on rather than himself so he made up this nickname. Oda hinted at this with another person being present alongside Roger in Laugh Tale called Jackson Banner as in J B.
There was a theory video of the one piece being on long ring long land (shaped like a crown), which would be revealed during aqua laguna when the waters recede. And then, i find it interesting that the Davey Back fight happened ON long ring long land, maybe foreshadowing the Will of D(avey) and his treasure
i think something that we need to take into account when discussing the will of D is that one piece is a japanese story, so we can't really automatically expect that the D will stand for something that starts with the letter D in english.
My only thing with the Joyboy did the immortal surgery thing for Imu. Is if they swapped a preferable personality into their enemy's body and had the nika fruit under wraps. Why wouldn't they give that person the immortality surgery too, to prevent someone else getting their hands on the fruit. I refuse to believe this outcome happened and they didn't have a fruit nearby so they let the Op Op No Mi get away AND let the person swap into Joyboy die and that fruit got away as well.
I do love this idea, but the problem in my opinion is that a very big part is gambled on there being a davy back fight between the world government. I don't know if that is actually so likely
I’m on board with D meaning Davy. In the drawing Oda made of Davy, he sort of looks like Blackbeard and I think that leads to Blackbeard being a direct descendant of Davy hence why Elders talked about his lineage
I made a theory about d standing for davy years ago but I'm almost certain at this point d will stand for dawn. It's one of the central themes in the story and unlike "dreams" or "devil", "dawn" appears in the japanese source material and in the first chapter no less.
Its either Blackbeard or Law. Blackbeard being a traitor, Law having "Water" in the name, refrencing how the water is drowing the world. The thing is, during Rogers time, you had Xebex for Teach, Roger for Ace, and Garp for Luffy, but we dont know if their was a stand in for Law back then.
I really think Blackbeard is related to Davy jones. And that “Davy Jones’s locker” is what they called the yami yami no mi During the void century. I think Blackbeard got the fruit’s info from his family not the df encyclopedia. I also think since L’s and R’s can be exchanged ‘Rocks’ might really be ‘Locks”
So I'm hoping someone comes out with some theories about this soon but I have this thought- There is a ton of evidence that the gorosei are not at all traditional devil fruit users, I'd say theres like a 2% chance they just have some kind of devil fruit that they just ate one day as mortals, its just not likely. However I do think one thing we will learn about before the end of One Piece is the origin of devil fruits, at least something about the origins. I also think there's a ton of evidence to support the idea that the gorosei's powers are demonic in nature, underworldly, and probably the origins of the gorosei and the origins of devil fruit are interlinked. I just have no ideas or theories how the roots of devil fruits and the roots of the gorosei can be connected, but I've only just got into one piece 6 months ago and only just caught up.
There were 8 people with an x and we have 8 D families so i expect that we got them all. 5 people with an x from East blue and 3 from the grand line and 5 D families post timeskip and 3 after the timeskip. I think that these 8 families started project Dawn. I think that Joyboy initially flew the flag of the dawn project however this became to risky so the 8 starting families adopted the D monicker. The symbol for other participants in the project became the sun symbol in different variations.
I think a consistent issue with one piece is that its both a gag manga and has a lot of mystery boxes. If something in a gag is shown to be important in a non-comedic sense, it cheapens that overall impact. Because it makes the reader feel like that have to be "on edge" and try to take the jokes seriously. It creates a disconnect because you're not suppose to think too deeply about jokes.
One of my favorite things about One Piece is that gags can sometimes end up being serious or affecting the plot. Instead of putting me on edge, it makes me appreciate how wacky the rules of the OP universe are.

@@zikkthegreat oh this is good! Thanks for sharing this
Its just a sideways smiley face, joyboy is probably a dingy goofball like luffy and drew his own jolly roger but never changed it.

D stands for dingaling
It really bugs me how much Dr kureha looks like captain Jon, or am I wrong?
Woooooah. No doubt.
I had the same reaction
D is for Dawn, those that are destined to bring a new dawn to the world. Since Luffy has the sun god fruit that makes a lot more sense. The government didn't want a member of the clan of D. to get the nika fruit because it would mean that the new dawn would be inevitable. Maybe black beard has the will of dusk with his darkness fruit?

I was legitimately thinking about this before I saw your videos, I love the connection towards the smile especially remembering Doflamingo’s jolly roger and how corazon jumped into action when Law stated his name with the initial D.
Watching these videos always feels like a weak argument that leads to a weaker argument which leads to a weaker argument,...etc.

None of these theories about him insinuating there is a traitor makes sense.
I wrote this unhinged thing a little while back but I have a some experience with portugease and japanese culture and language and the portugease are the nation who ended japan's isolationism, the portgas, portugal, wano, japan, period of isolation, and protugal ending the isolation, are the hinge points of all this
So this is not particularly related to this video at all however I think I might have stumbled upon the meaning of the will of D.
It comes from the followers of Maeda and means essentially some conglomeration of all of this
A warrior with a nonchalant fuck it attitude
A happy warrior who smiles in the face of a "fuck it" situation
Someone essentially will go into a match with a larger stronger opponent laughing and being like shit, here we go hahaha lets do it
And Brazil is essentially was founded by runaway slaves and pirates mingling with the natives of south and central America and idk the fodase-maeda-japan-portugal-portugease ending japanese isolation. Oden is Maeda, Roger is Portugal, Roger and Oden unlock the secrets of the world but ultimately One Piece is inspired by a Japanese view of the world and Oden is our perfect Maeda as far as being a man hellbound to leave Japa-wano and meet all the strongest people, and Maeda's will in real life was inherited by a family who became Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practictioners for the next several generations making the sport known to all across the world and the family who carried on Maeda's teaching always stressed this idea of Fodase and never doubting yourself and being a happy care free warrior who nonchalantly goes- this is probably won't end well but still jumps at the challenge with a smile and happy warrior energy
also I should add ask anyone who is a legit Jiu-Jitsu practitioner what their lineage is, and they know what part of the Gracie family their sensei's sensei's sensei comes from, even the way we tie our belts is dependent on which side of the Gracie family your lineage is. And you're not legit if you weren't taught by someone, who was taught by someone, who was taught by a Gracie, the Gracie's inherited the will of Maeda, and anyone who is a legit Jiu Jitsu practitioner has heard the term fodase, unless its just like their first year or something
Make a vid yo😂 interesting but i could barely make it half way

Related to this I think the following:
I don’t think the D has sth to do with blood related to begin with but it simply was the sign that u are part of the crew/ kingdom. I mean bloodrelated almost means nothing in one piece…it’s always about that “true family“ is the real family
Lily originally infiltrated the D clan.

My only issue with "Davy" being the name is the fact that the tradition of "Davy Back Fights" COULDNT exist if it was part of the void century. Pirates or not, the name Davy simply living into the future goes against EVERYTHING the void century represents
Law was also the dude to bring up traitors and the Pirates backstab.

It’s not Law or Black beard, the true trader to the D clan is Monkey D Garp, and Dragon by association until his back story gets revealed.
I got goosebumps at all the potential vivi/ lili comparisons
If the secret history of the world was that it's all a Davy back fight, that would certainly be a "Laugh Tale"
I am surprised that you did not mention shanks as a possible fake D, considering his friendship with the gorosei, his incredibile influence over the pirate world and the fact that he was in possession of the gomu gomu fruite.
imagine the win condition to beat Imu is to make Imu smile
I love this theory, soley because it finally makes THAT arc important 😂
Curiously jinn also sound like "Gin".
hope this video ages well it very well could be shot down in like a few weeks
edit: i should preface this by saying i haven’t watched the whole video yet
12:45 is diamond level editing.
i think something that we need to take into account when discussing the will of D is that one piece is a japanese story, so we can't really automatically expect that the D will stand for something that starts with the letter D in english.
I don't know if that is actually so likely
dude the more i listen the more all the things make sense
I’m on board with D meaning Davy. In the drawing Oda made of Davy, he sort of looks like Blackbeard and I think that leads to Blackbeard being a direct descendant of Davy hence why Elders talked about his lineage
The current chapter has a panel where the gear 5 of luffy in the newspaper has luffy with his X mark on it.
22:00 joyboy was never taken cuz the elders never had the gomu gomu baldy said its alluded them
I made a theory about d standing for davy years ago but I'm almost certain at this point d will stand for dawn.
So I'm hoping someone comes out with some theories about this soon but I have this thought-
There is a ton of evidence that the gorosei are not at all traditional devil fruit users, I'd say theres like a 2% chance they just have some kind of devil fruit that they just ate one day as mortals, its just not likely.
The D means Domini
I think a consistent issue with one piece is that its both a gag manga and has a lot of mystery boxes. If something in a gag is shown to be important in a non-comedic sense, it cheapens that overall impact. Because it makes the reader feel like that have to be "on edge" and try to take the jokes seriously. It creates a disconnect because you're not suppose to think too deeply about jokes.
One of my favorite things about One Piece is that gags can sometimes end up being serious or affecting the plot. Instead of putting me on edge, it makes me appreciate how wacky the rules of the OP universe are.
"Hey, babe!! Dak dropped another banger!!"
I've been saying this for a while now. That pact they made with Vivi is the same pact JoyBoy made with everyone else, and that is what the D clan is.
I named my daughter Vivienne Davi 4.5 years ago, I think if it's true I need to get a haki big brain lifetime achievement award
